In my opinion, the clodbuster is a great truck. After building mine a couple months back it's the best handling truck. Super capable too. Great video my friend!
Cheers Gabe, my brother from the RC mother! 🍻 Have to completely agree with that comment my friend. Thanks for watching and sharing your opinion bro. 👍👊
Thank you for the valuable personal experience information. I am going to get a Super Clodbuster in a few months and build it stock at first and then modify it later. I haven't owned an RC since I had a Kyosho Mad Force in 2004 when i was in Okinawa Japan. My first RC was an RC10 in 1989. I always wanted a Clodbuster, and im finally going to get one.
Hey there. Thanks for stopping by to watch & leaving that amazing comment. It's not the fastest or the best handling rig. Still something about the Clod that makes it so much fun. If you like the nostalgia of how RC's use to be, like me? I know you're going to love it. 👍👊👌If I can offer any suggestion? It would be to get the bearing set for the build. Thanks again for the awesome feedback. Please feel free to keep me posted on your progress and experiences with your Clod? Don't forget to checkout all my Clodbuster videos if you have some time to kill? 👊😎
That was a lot of really good info for anyone who is considering building one of these. This video is a brilliant walk through type of info video. Proper top stuff Jason 👍👍
Thanks Tibs! It was a little “outside the box” for me. To put my ugly mug up, with the lips flapping, for such a long time!? 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for watching & the best comment’s always!
That’s awesome! What an awes gift. You’re definitely on the ‘nice list’ 🤣👍👊 Thank you so much for the fantastic comment. Enjoy it my friend. My comment sections are always open, if you’d like to keep me up to date on what you do with it, like mods & upgrades? Thanks again.
So far all i did to mine is a simple steering mods. Larger servo horn, and on the front turning arm located on the transmission case. I relocated the ball from the top to underneath. Other than that, i trimmed the chassis battery area to fit a 4s 3000mah batt. Thats all. I love this model kit, waited since 1987 man. But Santa came through in 2022! Hell ya!!!
Great video and explanation on stuff. Getting my super clod buster tomorrow. Never built an RC before so I may go get a Grasshopper first to get a little more knowledgeable before tackling the Clod Buster.
Building a Grasshopper won’t make building a Clod any easier. If you want both RCs & can afford it? Then sure do that. Don’t get a Grasshopper if you want a Clod though? As long as you take your time & follow every step? You’ll be fine building a Clod. 👍 thank you so much for the awesome comment.
@@rcwreck-creation thanks for the tip! I’m getting a Grasshopper for nostalgic reasons. Always wanted one as a kid and could never afford it. I have the Super Clod Buster arriving tomorrow because it’s just super cool and I really want something to slowly modify and different from a buggy. I’m sure I’ll get a bunch of buggies over time to bash around but I’m pretty sure the Clod will be something to just make me smile when I look at it. Your videos made me realize it’s a fun ‘show-off’ machine and I be much more careful driving it than something like the grasshopper. I am already starting to build my ‘Clod Mod Parts’ wishlist!
I'd say most definitely your drag brake putting the stress on those axles for sudden stopping of those tires was your issue. Only have my rears locked and no drag, haven't had that issue (yet) knock on wood. 🙃 Daughters clod has a little more travel in the suspension, came with a lift kit. You can see the difference side by side. Need to add the 20T motors I have and get another lexan body, she wants it white. 😎
I really hope so? lift kit is cool, easier to roll. With a lexan body, that won’t matter so much. 👍 Thanks for the awesome comment. I’m sure by the time you’re done, she’s gonna love it! 👌
Thank you so much Brian. You know how much that means to me bro! I hope it’s not just cause I’m a nice guy, & you actually like watching every second?, but if it is just cause I’m a nice guy, I’ll take it! 🤣🤣🤣🤣👊👍
😎👍👊🍻 Thanks for the comment brother! We all miss & love you guys. Sorry to hear about your “most peaceful of all holidays” holidays. What a kick-off to 2023, Eh!?
@@rcwreck-creation definitely is. I put so much work into the Excaliber and captain America bodies, it’d kill me to scrape em up. I did a rusty patina body for mine and Grayson is doing a camouflage paint job on his😁
I actually used the plastic bushings (I built it with bearings) from the kit under the body mounts to raise the mounts up…. Oh & had to use longer screws to reach through 2 stacked bushings.

Great video, totally agree. A running body is mandatory👍

Tge clod is a great truck.. it’s everything a real 80’s monster truck and an 80’s RC monster truck were back then. Absolutely love the clod
Good stuff! Saving this since I'm planning to build a Grey edition Clod soon 😀
Grey edition is an awesome looking Clod bud! 👍👊 Thanks for the great comment. So glad you enjoyed. 🍻

Hey Cheryl! Happy New Year. Thanks for popping by to say “hi”. I’m enjoying the new year so far. Hope you are too? All the best! 👊🍻👍
We did show bodies, and runner bodies for ours..
Thanks for watching & the awesome comment. 👍👊 It’s so necessary for this vehicle, isn’t it?

Loved the Excalibur, btw! 👌 that sounds cool, look forward to more of your guys vids.
How did you raise the rear body posts so that the lexan body sits level?
I actually used the plastic bushings (I built it with bearings) from the kit under the body mounts to raise the mounts up…. Oh & had to use longer screws to reach through 2 stacked bushings.
