For anyone considering this exhaust for a series 3, I have to say I have one fitted to a GP (RT225 kit on a SIL casing) and it fitted perfectly with no fettling and no fouling (the lip on the rear board was already trimmed from previous exhaust). They look, sound and perform great. My only gripe (as Rob mentioned) is that the U bend is very low and I have caught it a couple of times.
I had that same bracket with the huge nylon bobbin with my JL Race SuperTourer pipe.( further adding to your suspicions of where the Nordspeed is made)... I used the SLJ bracket with a custom link arm to clear my panels
Just literally fitted mine on a jet, Oiltek previously check fitted too. All snug and a good fitment, already fitted the different exhaust bracket which I need to drill , sounds nice too but hits side panel! So had to use spacers
Every time I see one of these videos I’m usually straight onto the internet credit card in hand to buy new bits 😂😂. Luckily I’ve got a CST3 exhaust and apart from the ground clearance it is an amazing pipe on my Imola. ………… Disclaimer…….. I haven’t seen the performance video and report yet 😂😂😂
I’m still waiting for mine for my GP225 TS1, it landed in The UK on the 2nd and it’s still at the depot, looking forward to receiving it, fitting it and hearing it, you mentioned briefly about the timing, is there instructions about changing the timing ? Thanks for the video
It makes my head spin how much fettling we have to do with very expensive kit. It just shouldn’t be like that. Good effort Rob, but you (and I) really shouldn’t be machining the tits out of stuff we’ve taken out mortgages for to buy. There...I’ve said it... I feel better now 😂
You can't fit an expansion pipe without kicking it up at least one so we can hear it,,,,,, I can't believe you're making us wait until the next video 😮
I'm planning on buying one of these for my GP200 / TS1 240 that I'm building, thanks for doing this one!
It will be a few weeks before the test video comes because my computer has died 🙈
my build and Dinoco have lined up nicely, and your clearing the same hurdles I take on each week. Takk Rob ; )

Well tackled Rob, good job done 👍👍
Hi, i nearly bought this exhaust a while ago. I dont have your tools etc. so would have struggled with all the fettling! Enjoyed it, keep them coming!

I have one of these on my s1. Great pipe but did need to heat the pipe at the end and tweak it outwards to clear the panel. They sound awesome!!!
Tough choice Rob, listening to ya babble on or the Nordspeed touring pipe on full chat 😂 keep them coming
:D Had a good laugh. The good old Lambada Sensor ;) Good Job Mate!

Great work mate!! 🥳😎🙌
I am also thinking of getting one for my TV175 series 3.
Did you get one? I am really happy with the performance!
I understand the issue with the bracketry with the casa case however, in the product hype (advertising) , it's supposed to fit a series 2 ....
Correct!

Port timings are listed in the description on the product page at SIP.
@@kickbackgarage top man thank you, I’ve got it booked in for a dyno/set up at Mersea
As i understand it, the exhausts are made in northern Germany. Is this where JL are located?
Jl are located in the Czech Republic.
Does the "Lambada" sensor detect anyone dancing the Lambada as you pass by?
😄
Separate downpipe reminds me of how my old Taffspeed pipe was made, but this pipe looks like aJL production
It might not be but there are many similarities!
Nice one Rob… its a good choise also for a bgm 195 ????
Sorry for the very late answer! I think it would be good on a RT195 with a 28 or 30mm carb.
@@kickbackgarage hahahaha Dont worry Rob, i have already a phbl 28 on my Rt 195
Can I use my JL TS1 flange instead of the banana shaped Nordspeed one
If it fits (I suspect it does) then sure.
Wow! Everything seemed to be going so well, but really you shouldn't have to cut the panel...😢

There...I’ve said it... I feel better now 😂
As traumatic as it is I'm going to watch lol
A pity that most aftermarket parts don't fit stright out of the box. Either poor design or poor quality control.

Sorry to say that it's will be a few weeks away because my pc has died 😢
@@kickbackgarage NO 😩 go buy a new one,,,,, I need to hear it, something that looks so nice needs to be heard sooner rather than later 😁
i would put money its made by Jim Lomas
That's what I said.
