Some background :
The Dark Side of the Moon is the eighth studio album by Pink Floyd, released on 1 March 1973
The Dark Side of the Moon received critical acclaim upon release, and has since been hailed by critics as one of the greatest albums of all time
Following Meddle in 1971, Pink Floyd assembled for a tour of Britain, Japan and the United States in December of that year. In a band meeting at drummer Nick Mason's home in Camden, bassist Roger Waters proposed that a new album could form part of the tour. Waters' idea was for an album that dealt with things that "make people mad", focusing on the pressures faced by the band during their arduous lifestyle, and dealing with the apparent mental problems suffered by former band member Syd Barrett
All four members agreed that Waters' album concept unified by a single theme was a good idea. Waters, Gilmour, Mason and keyboardist Richard Wright participated in the writing and production of the new material, and Waters created the early demo tracks at his Islington home in a small studio built in his garden shed. Parts of the new album were taken from previously unused material; the opening line of "Breathe" came from an earlier work by Waters and Ron Geesin, written for the soundtrack of The Body, and the basic structure of "Us and Them" borrowed from an original composition by Wright for Zabriskie Point.
The band rehearsed at a warehouse in London owned by the Rolling Stones, and then at the Rainbow Theatre in Finsbury Park, London. They also purchased extra equipment, which included new speakers, a PA system, a 28-track mixing desk with a four channel quadraphonic output, and a custom-built lighting rig. Nine tonnes of kit was transported in three lorries; this would be the first time the band had taken an entire album on tour.
The album had been given the provisional title of Dark Side of the Moon (an allusion to lunacy, rather than astronomy). However, after discovering that that title had already been used by another band, Medicine Head, it was temporarily changed to Eclipse. The new material premiered at The Dome in Brighton, on 20 January 1972, and after the commercial failure of Medicine Head's album the title was changed back to the band's original preference The Dark Side of The Moon - Видеоклипы
It's the greatest Album ever, when i hear it, i feel like 18 again, now i'm 64.
66... Listen TO FLOYD 3 TIMES A WEEK
Paul McCartney would appreciate that. Especially as he is a good mate of David. Got 8 years on you.

I played Dark Side every night in 1975 after my husband passed suddenly. It was what enabled me to go to sleep. Kept me hanging on with quiet desperation.
Sure that kept his spirit alive too. God bless you and keep rockin it, man
Such an amazing album for grieving, deep thought, and healing. I'm glad you felt the same Kate.
I've thought a lot about losing my love, what I would do, if I could keep my sanity, but I know music like this would eventually help me find my way.
Bless you
And now the sorrow is not quite so bad for you.
67 year's young, sitting here listening to this on headphones, smoking some mean green and enjoying the hell outta myself!!! Keep rocking!
64 here brother, i hear you...Chem OG
I don't smoke... but 58 and enjoying the same with some Crown Royal 🍸
Dobbie Brothers and Dobbie Sisters will live forever, time is only an illusion. Peace and love to them always.
66 and listening and loving it!! A little medical tincture makes it cool!! Lol
Today myself enjoying this after listening to and watching you the other day. And a listen from Roger on empathy for the blue collar workers in US I saw this and could not resist. I missed my girls though but with talent such as yourselves tch tch. 💝💝💝
Yes I am 70 and watching this during the lockdown. Remember seeing the movie Dark Side of the Moon in a theater in the 70s. We sat in the front row and smoked weed LOL
I was in the Army in 1973, And remembering listening to Dark Side of the Moon. We were all smoking pot, and listening to this. It was so MELLOW!
Hahaha goodddddddd
That is too funny as I was listening I was thinking I sure would like to smoke a joint right now, lol I am 62.
I was born 1970, got to listen to a few albums that my older brother bought, but it's only since RUclips & cheap Internet access have I really appreciated it....
I bet you wasn’t the only one for that time LOL
I recently had a heart attack, two days later when my heart surgeon performed heart catheterization I requested that he play Comfortably Numb while putting me out for the procedure. N that they play Pink Floyd while cleaning out my Three blocked arteries. The catheterization n 3stents later, no damages from the heart attack. I figured if while that wire was in my chest should something go wrong I would already be in heaven whilst listening to the music that soothes the soul, heart n brain. Thanks to Pink Floyd for seeing me thru some of the scariest moments of my life.
👍🏻💕😎‼️
God bless you 🙏🙏🙏 from Australia, we are in trying times, seek always the truth. We rejoice in all that is good 🙏 💞 Hallelujah
holy ....! glad to see you still here..
@@YoupunkAP Yes I am very glad to be here. It's funny what a brush with death can do. Music sounds better, Life is giving me a second chance. Just this week I realized Rite Aid Pharmacy screwed up a prescription of mine. They put my blood thinners in the muscle relaxers bottle and the muscle relaxers in the plavix bottle, so I wasn't taking the blood thinners for two weeks. N with stents in my heart I need to be on blood thinners. My cardiologist n my PCP both are going to go after the Pharmacist Job. It was just lucky that I caught the mistake. N luckily my heart is ok. But I must go back October 6th to have another stent put in another artery that 75% closed. Luck is definitely with me lately.
thank you ever so much for sharing
72 years young, sitting here listening to The Dark Side on my headphones, enjoying it immensely. No smoking, only feeling the vibes of this out of the world music. It's transcendental
Clear mind: the undervaluated way to feel Pink Floyd.
65 years young - my headphones on - tears in my eyes (diamonds from the soul of this music) - THANK YOU

no smoking, defo popped a pill
Some years ago, I was driving with my family, and I was surprised, my daughter (15 yo then) was singing along with me The whole album "Dark side of the moon", including "Great Gig in the Sky".
It was one of my best days.
That sir is the legacy of good music and a child and parents good taste in said music...it's generational and timeless....imagine a father singing along with his daughter and granddaughter... priceless!
@@redbaron1953 I agree!!!Sounds priceless!
You raised her well. Job done!
my daughter asked me if I had ever heard of the Beatles.
Hope she’s still singing.
Absolutely the best album every recorded by any group! 47 years on and it's still fantastic and bringing new generations to listen to Pink Floyd!!
SOLD SO MANY COPIES.. ROLLING STONE SAYS IT ##1
It's ####1
So TRUE
The best ever
It was in the album charts for years.... back when people actually bought records. With money.
48 years ago today, this masterpiece touched the souls of millions. A true timeless classic.
And I was blessed to be there.....with some kick ass weed
Were you around 48 years ago to be touched?
@@zorroastor2765 Not sure who you are asking, but I'm 68, so I guess you could say I was around. I was playing Dark Side of the Moon, on vinyl sometime in the summer of 73, when my mom (41) walks in and says who's that, she was an instant fan. My daughter was born June 10th 1980, and I had the Wall on vinyl. I worked the 3rd shift, midnight to eight, and would come home and lay on the floor with my newborn and we would chill out to Pink Floyd. I don't have to tell who my daughter's favorite band is, do I?
WORD
@@zorroastor2765 Yup in my early 20's
Dad said that he bought this album when it came out and while listening to the female vocals, he saw the name Leslie Duncan. He said he knew at that moment he would have a daughter and that would be my name. A few years later, I was born. 41 years later, I gave birth to my beloved Abbey, named after the (album also) studio it was recorded at. Ah, circle of life?
Wonderful!
Sooo Awesome
Yall be baaadazz
Lovely story ❤
No words to say, it's a masterpiece The Dark Side of The Moon. The only album in the world that can't be broken... Thanks Roger, David, Rick and Nick, and special thanks to Alan Parsons.
Why Alan parson’s ?
А стена что не альбом 🥵
Who here thinks that Rick Wright and Nick Mason just don’t get near enough of the credit they deserve for their contributions to some of the absolute greatest music ever made?
I'll agree with the Richard Wright part but I've always felt Nick needed to add more. But then again I can't fault him one bit as he does play exactly what the music calls for.
@@zombywoof1015 you’re absolutely right. I’m a drummer and when I started learning to play I studied mason because his beats were pretty basic. When I got older I realized the man can play so much more but he plays only what the song needs and doesn’t show off. Very underrated drummer for that reason
I agree. The creative talent of waters and the brilliant presence of gilmour always outshined Wright and mason. But Pink Floyd wouldn’t have gotten anywhere without all four.
I was hust thinking of Syd Barret.

Yeah and what an onslaught it's been!
Wait, Taylor Swift and that green haired child, Billy something, isn't this good?
Here to stay
@@Damaged262 Billy Eilish... Not bad. Just a little too much hype. I've heard the album. 15 percent revolutionary (2 songs) rest is just decent pop
Might have spelled her name wrong. Don't care.

Years ago in another life, a friend on the south coast in England told me that he listened to the entire album of Dark Side every day..... R.I.P. Mark Simpson - you are not forgotten my friend, I'll see you again one day.
A million bands tried to become the next Led Zepplin and never made it. However, none even tried to be the next Pink Floyd, they already knew that was impossible!
Or the spanish group Pink Tones, they´re a great tribute band too
That's the best compliment of all given. You're right. I'm not going to mention this again. You're right.
THATS RIGHT
To copy easy enough. To replace or create equal not likely.
No other band could ever be like P F IMPOSSIBLE 😉
I never forget a day in 1984. Was out in the car. Put on other music. Son started screaming! Wanted Pink Floyd back. Just 2 years old, and wanted his favourite songs..
Excellent parenting!!
I remember that day like it was yesterday. I was tripping on Clown Acid and TV watching sucked. All channels were green. Haven't watched TV since.
My neighbour’s favourite music too, weather they likes it or not.
I’m going to introduce my grandson to Pink Floyd once this COVID thing takes a flying Fuck , he is 4 months old and I’m going to meet him for the first time next month
I am 20 years old. But listening to this masterpiece, I feel my soul is 60 years old lol. Was introduced to Pink Floyd as a child by my father.
This music will never get old or go out of style, I am 56 and still got the headphones on and volume through the roof, no wonder i have to have the TV so loud
45 years ago trashed on hash oil and LSD this music was magic. Sober and straight now it's even better!!!
I turn 70 in August and have lived thru 6 decades of music. The 50s I was too young to remember. From the mid-sixties on every decade was unique and original. There are so many great artists and bands that it’s maddening to pick a favorite. I asked a friend a couple days ago who his all time greatest group is and without hesitation he said the Beatles and though he picked my second number one has been and always will be Pink Floyd. The day of my funeral I want “Wish you were here”played!!
No doubt, 100% I agree. I wish your life goes long enough to see many more but just in case if happens God Bless your soul in advance.
I have the same thoughts as you, too many great artists and groups. But, I really do have favorites. Eagles, John Mellencamp and of course these guys along with Billy Joel, Elton John, Neil Diamond, Jackson Browne and more. I just love great music!
.
J adore 💜.pinkfloyd. I Love
I turn 70 in August
About 1 year older than you - I listened to Saturday club in the 50s, so started slightly earlier than you... I think we got the best musical education possible... still play and listen.
I will dead ass cry to this whole album playing anywhere. I cried even more watching this live. Just WOW. ICONIC
I hear you, sister! 👍
My dad passed away two weeks ago and I don't know why but one of the last things we talked while he was hopitalized by covid19 was about the song comfortably numb because he mentioned about had already felt that way before when he was a child. Unfortunately he didn'd survived, it seems like this band was helping me before and is still taking care of my thoughts while I'm on mourning...
I'm really sorry to hear about your Father. What's wonderful though, is that the two of you shared a love of music. I hope that there are many memories in the music you shared together. Pink Floyd gives me is an extremely visceral, and emotional response.
I am very sorry to hear of your father's passing.
I know he is in a much better place, but I know how much it still hurts. My Dad passed about 11 months ago. I wish you all the best!
@@MrDJS444 thank you. For all of us, take care!

I lived in Chicago in the SEVENTIES i am 67 and it was my best time of my life !!!!! SEVENTIES was the best thing that happened to this world and people who lived thru that era !!!!
Consistent..never let's ya down
Almost 70 myself, listen to the Floyd almost every week while I’m in the shop
I'm 73 and I agree with you 110%
If you have a chance to go see Brit Floyd, a PF tribute band, DO IT. The only thing better is seeing PF themselves. They play the same, note for note, and the singer even nails The Great Gig in the Sky, which is usually a big disappointment.
Wow, now at 76 and no more whiskey and wild days; this presentation made me feel some good old fashion vibes and emotions. Thanks
64 years young and every time I hear Dark Side there is something new to my ears and heart. The ebb and flow, the heart beat of Pink Floyd lights up my life and ears. Hope I don’t go deaf. Hopefully I die listening to Dark Side
Had my cancer surgery sept 23, 2019 after multiple scary hospital stays while they tried to figure out what was wrong. Pink Floyd and a little medication got me through. Now with CV-19 I'm a high risk candidate with an immune deficiency, nerve disorder from diabetes, high blood pressure, etc. so I have been in self quarantine now since March 2020, it's been a steady dose of isolate, medicate and Pink Floyd. 😎🎶✈🚀🌒✌👍
Ditto for me too, minus the diabetes and the big C. All the best to all of we isolated vulnerables. :-)
Keep on, my friend
@@stevefrenchize Thanks dude. Music is great medication by itself, several Dr's prescribed the full spectrum CBDs which goes well together most days to at least lighten my spirits, reliving some really good times in my younger years. Doing it day by day now - a lot of lost time in the last 30 yrs trying to figure out why I did not feel well - a small area of cancer in a bad space took me out. Mentally feeling well, physically another matter as the collateral damage is irreversible. Currently getting new exoskeleton fitted to compensate for the structural damage to the endoskeleton - ie getting full leg braces both legs - kind of like the polio braces of day old. Simple personal mobility is the next goal, sitting in a chair most of waking hours is driving me crazy. Sometimes I actually forget I need leg braces and stand up and try to take a step, then quickly reminded why that's not a practical thing to do. Great to see great music lovers, lovin great music. Stay safe and keep your family safe as we head into maybe the worst 6 months of the CV19 spread. And make sure to vote - YOUR VOTE = YOUR VOICE. Only one chance to voice your opinion this year on or before Nov 3 2020.
Like the guitar playing and special effects . This band will go on forever! The songs words are unforgetable .
All the best 4 You!!!!

I wore out my 8 track tape. Starting ir 1 hour before sleep, selected loop play, slept, and when the alarm clocks rang in my final rem sleep, I would wake up. Let it play until I left my room. That was all of 1974. I was 17 years old. Only time I had the 8 track, cassette, Vinyl LP. Some of the top music ever recorded. Thank You Pink Floyd.
I HAD CASSETTES
Look at that, not a single cell phone, just heads watching and enjoying. I miss those pre-internet days. Sometimes less really is more.
Those days were awesome, we went to concerts for the experience and pure enjoyment. We saw the "full stage" not the little 3 to 5 inches of the phone screen. We didn't needed selfies because our friends were there too!!!
literally watching this on the internet?
I cast these concerts to my "60 inches" TV, tiny screens don't do it for me, lol
@@evoxpop2088 ah yes.....I miss those days too..
You know I tend to agree but what I would give to be able to the Zepplin show in 75 which was my first concert. Skynyrd just a few months before the crash, and deep Purple any time the original group was together. They were so fucking loud. Maybe Humble Pie as well in 75. Or any of the stadium shows in the mid to late 70s where there is virtually nothing that would indicate they ever happened on film. My buddies in a great little band called Point Blank were incredible but there is virtually no video of them anywhere from the 70s. .Phones would have allowed someone other than the midnight special archives to show us what rock was back in the day, but I agree, no one watches shows any more they take them home with them and that's why crowds are dead these days.
Great Gig in the Sky is among the most beautiful vocal tracks ever recorded.
Thats one track too. The lady came, sang, and hated it. Everybody else said "thank you, were good. Bye" lol. But i agree, its a beautiful track
La
AMEN TO THAT
absolutely.
I watched a documentary where she describes how they called her to come to their studio, she walks in, they tell her the song is about life and death, she goes in and voila... She steps out and they are so nonchalant about it she gets the feeling they wouldn't even use it on the album ❤️ that's a once in a lifetime event... They could never recreate that studio version in my opinion, or is it just because that's the first version I ever heard?
From 1966 to 1970, Pink Floyd used a wider variety of sounds than likely any other band. In 1971 they figured out how to separate (and use only) the sounds that the human body feels. This is why almost all PF tunes from 71-79 take souls for a ride, like a beautiful drug.
So many happy memories 💜 Floyd, listening now in lockdown, from 16 to 66 they never age the music is still outstanding, stay safe everybody and with god's will we will make it to the other side . A Floyd fan till I die. ❤️
Bless You David!! Stay Safe & Always Rock on Brother!! Pink Floyd saves lives!! P F FOREVER!!

My number 1 album of all time . Even I didn’t grow up with pink Floyd . Even after their split there are still new fans . I’m 18 and found pink Floyd and they saved my life . Without a doubt my favourite band . All their albums are good in their own way however this one tops all 🙈🙈
The lights go off. Everyone's had more than enough to eat, properly stoned, someone puts on the vinyl. It's dark. Everyone's lying around on the floor. They know what's coming. Soothingly slow, relaxing. Then TIME. The MOANS. By the time it's Great Gig people are going nuts. You can't see the others but you know, you just know.
Someone thankfully gets up and turns the vinyl over. The spooky 7/4 and Gilmour's piercing guitar, every note exactly where you want it, where it's supposed to be, no notes there you don't want either, everyone knows it by heart, every note.
Towards the end. Us and them and after all we're only ordinary men...

This music is truly cross generational and as a 75 year old who came to Pink Floyd in the early 1970s, my son born 1975 has passed this music to his peers one of of whom met me at Jermey Corbyn rally two years ago and gave me hug and thank you for Pink Floyd - now exploring Roger Walters in retrospect - a man of the people as is David Gilmore.

Is it true this album and the wizard of Oz goes hand in hand at the same time? Any body experience this?
@@johnr898 guapo!! Pink Floyd lo máximo
Is this the Krusty Krab?
Saw THEM 2 TIMES AT SPECTRUM. IN PHILLY
Pink Floyd is and will always be my favorite music! I am 63 years young and never tire of their music. The instrumental is nothing but excellence, the vocals are fantastic! As far as I am concerned, there will never be another group like them. Their live concerts are kick ass! Rock and Roll forever!!!
Jedes Mal bekomme ich Gänsehaut ❤
Unglaublich schöne Musik 💖
This music takes me back to the 70s high school sitting in my car jamming to pink Floyd. drinking smoking good times and still enjoying it in 2020
How I miss performing...that feeling of being untouchable. When I was behind a kit, I was invincible. Laying cable, setting up, the sounds and excitement...being swept up in rapt bliss as the music you play swells your soul and fills your heart...watching faces and people change and soften.
People forget problems when watching and listening to talented musicians. Music joins even enemies...
Hello and a very "Good Day" to the whole World!
It isn`t an essential necessity to be a "Floyd Fan", but people let me express it in my own way:
"It sure helps 🤩😎🤗😍🥰😘🥳!
Me, living the last few weeks before turning 62, sitting here, enjoying another mug of coffee, listening to this ingenius gem of music at kind of a moderate volume (my wife`s in homeoffice), but realising this could be the first time listening to it again perceive the words of the lyrics fully concentrated, makes me loving "The Floyd" all over once again!
Thank you for each and every "Floydian Masterpiece"!
Greetings, Love, Peace, Belief and God bless!
Ingo 🙏😇❤🌍🌎🌏🚀🌠🌌
More than 50 years have passed since this wonderful Pink Floyd album, and every time I listen to it I always find something different, something incredible, something that transports me to the cosmos, a whole work of art.
I was actually at this gig. It was quite an experience. I remember my pal's projectile tears as "Shine on...." played. To be fair he was off his face on magic mushrooms.
Wonder what the ending of The Wizard of Oz would have done to him...
leaves trails
Mushes is the only way clean and natural

Mind blown! This is my first time to listen to Pink Floyd. I will never regret clicking on this video suggestion.
Man, this the peak of their post waters performances...enjoy
Check out more ,though I got to admit they are at the height of their music here .
Welcome home, little brother.
Yes good muisic
check out Echoes Live at Pompeii.
I was at there!!!! There aren’t words to express how amazing it was, I left Earls Court speechless just as I did when I was at Earls Court for The Wall 🤩🥳
I remember these songs at around 17 yrs of age. Now, at 65 , I smile with a tear ...
Once in a lifetime that two musical geniuses form a band that put out three albums that were absolute masterpieces . That's in addition to the couple of dozen great songs from other albums.
Their concerts sounded as good as the albums.
Vabene così e musica che piace molto ko
Watching this in August of 2020! They are absolutely brilliant, in the 70's, 80's 90's. 2000's, 2010's and hopefully there will be another live performance in the 2020's! They are so tight and so amazing! David Gilmour's voice is still so clear and the ravages of time has not affected his voice or his talent! Thank you for being such a HUGE part of the soundtrack of my life since I was just a little boy. I'm now in my 50's. I have been in amazement over you for 40+ years! Please tour again soon!
GIMORE SAID NO WAY
@@johnmartino590 I know, but didn't he say that on one or two of his last tours as well? Keep hope alive brother!
I think this album has done something unlike any other in portraying humanity as of the universe.
It belongs to all of the universe, where we are. Dub side of the moon... oh my
This music is timeless.
Not quite sure - Money's in 7.8 with an instrumental section in 4/4.
The Great Gig in the Sky though. I find it incredibly touching how the light is shining on Claudia Fontaine as she closes the song out because she passed away in 2018. Strangely haunting and beautiful. RIP, you were a marvellous singer.
I'm already 66 years old but still love and listening pink floyd. (Wish you were here) one of my fav music...
PULSE HAD A WOMAN NAMED SAM. PEOPLE DO Not Know THAT
Я восхищаюсь, слов нет описать внутреннее состояние души от этой Божественной музыки !!!
Это лучший альбом

Супер,... Улетаю в далёкую, юность.
I love music and i listen to a lot of genres and bands. Nothing can replace the goose bumps i get from listening to "The Great Gig In The Sky" and these 3 singers really bring out the emotions in that song.
Oh yessss
That’s going to be one of my funeral songs😊
2021..
Still better than anything out in the last 20 years...
Long live Pink Floyd
Uff by far ✌😎
wrong ,in the las 50 years
I'm 64 years old I've seen a lot of concert in my life but Pink Floyd was the best ever saw them twice. Sitting here listening 🎶 to the album Darkside of the Moon
I was 20 years old when this was released. They had other songs they had released, but The dark side of the moon album marked their spot in the USA. My daughter was born on June 10th 1980, and we would listen to it and the Wall for hours. Her fav. band today....Pink Floyd. And I was listening to the Dark Side of the Moon, when I was taking my mom shopping and she asked me, "who is that." When I told her she said wow, they are awesome. My mom was 48 at the time. What my point? Pink Floyd will span generations to come. Some will tell you that other bands don't want to make that kind of music, because they can't. Aussie Floyd was close.
I think they tried there best .l like them 2
i was in a rehab and this album changed my life
@@jimfinlay7271 That's amazing man!!!
And do you know what was the craziest thing ever ?
In the 70's we thought that these marvelous songs will be produced every year.
We got Led Zep, Genesis, Supertramp, Yes, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and all this kind of super bands.
Some crazy dude could have pressed the red button and the world could burn in a sec but life was a wonderful road ahead.
Now i'm 63 yo and sitting here hiding from this Corona virus but still listening PF :)
Yes very much so................its a shame that modern music can not come close
@@richardsivley6106 Very true, I totally agree. Modern "musicians" do not have the skills to play real instruments, write lyrics, write original music, etc. It's all generated on music boards with their voices dubbed in, because they can't sing much either.
@Serginho da Bronze - Yes, that is an interesting point. We all thought the awesome music was going to continue. Now we have to hold onto these bands, videos and songs - because musicians these days do not compare at all!!
stay healthy to listen to Pink Floyd :)
I so agree! I spend hours looking for old music videos etc to hold on to. Most music is throw away stuff these days. Last few survivors will be bands like Elbow, and even the Proclaimers! (Sunshine on Leith, what a song!), todays music is in a dire place, very few classic time proof songs just don't appear to be written anymore.
Man, this brought back a lot of good memories!
They have been one of my favorite bands since they first came out.
They were ahead of their time!
50 years later, "Time" still holds up over the decades.
It really does..
And "Money" as well.
Some of the ideas from then still survive but are fading fast. What will our world be like without them?
@@rustybolts8953 Respect, good manners, ethics all out the door. The Capitol siege is being portrayed by conservatives as a day of tourism, for example. Reality is altered by the alters.
One of God's greatest gifts to us. Pink Floyd.
I'm 65 as well & still listen to Pink Floyd and Genesis.
My first concert at 21 was Genesis for my birthday surprise in Cleveland, Ohio.
What else can you listen today? Enjoy!
Me TOO... 66 August 1st
Have you tried "Yes" especially the Yes album and Close to the edge?
@HD Pink Floyd. As the US falls apart, I come here to feel grounded. God and this music keep my feet on the ground.
Thats how I feel..cant say how many times I have turned to Floyd in previous 13 monthes...a lot.
I am ill, massive anxiety attacks all week. I have micrdosed myself with English psilocybin and can smell the roses again. Thanks to my friend Ray who believes in mother nature as I do. I am going to listen to this orchestral masterpiece and drift off🇬🇧🤠
My god, it is so good to hear this... great times and even better memories! Many great bands in those days, but Pink Floyd stands out. Such intelligent music!

I've grown up with Pink Floyd...I agree with you.
Always gotta be someone to scoreboard you. Lol I can't complain I got to hang with some pretty bad ass Texas players that had their stuff played on the same radio as Floyd, but PF has this ora surrounding them that was always mysterious. My guys drank the same kind of beer I did so they were human. Lol

No way, this is the best band ever....
I was 12 years old, when my older brother bought "Ummagumma", and we were sitting in our cellar room on mattresses, candles burning, eyes closed, listening to "Set the Controls For The Heart Of The Sun", "Astronomy Domine" and "Saucerful Of Secrets".
At that day, in these very moments, my life changed.
The next years I grew up with Genesis, Yes, Zappa, Wishbone Ash, Traffic, J.J. Cale, Eric Clapton, Pat Metheny and and and.....
Now I'm 62, and I have become a musician, too.
And when I listen to "Echoes" now, the last time Rick played and sung it, I have tears in my eyes.
I don't want to imagine the day when David will leave us...
This will be the day the music dies.
It will live on as long as we still listen to it.
