Don't mind those discouraging people, there are some who think even selfemployment is too risky for anyone. Sorry for the miscalculated pages, but you can do it! Some have books with less than 600 pages, you got their missing ones.
Baylee - there is this lady on RUclips named Kara (aka BohoBerry) that makes her own traveler's notebooks to sell on Etsy. I BET you that she'd love to 'mentor' you on making these books. She's amazing! Not that you need a mentor or anything (please don't take it the wrong way)...just thinking that she makes her own stuff and probably has tips galore!!
I think the book binding will be an awesome experience for both you and us! I would really love to see all the workings of it etc I'm all for the home book making!! #Bayleeshomeprinting
Kelly Reiber omg same I would love a coloring book!! It's weird, I actually found the art channel after following the vlog instead of the other way around so I'm just here for kitties and bayls being her kooky self 😂 my visual art talents are uhhhh lacking. BUT I LOVE TO COLOR! And I preordered her book-book in hopes of actually changing that lack of skill anyway lol
Referencing back to the button maker really shows how far you've come Baylee. I remember when you bought it and were having so much fun working with it! It's good to hear about it again :) I'm impressed and pleased to hear you made the money back SO quickly! That had to be uplifting for you! You inspire me to keep going in my pursuits here on RUclips. Thank you for sharing your life and work with the world!!
I think getting the things for you to do the book binding yourself is a really good idea, yes it'll be expensive at the start but in the long run you'd be saving alot of money. That's just what I think anyway. :-)
I never saw the comments yesterday since I watched it just as it was posted, but damn! Just buy the thing! You're a smart cookie and did all your cost analysis, it's no impulse buy. I'm all for having the tools to do things yourself if you know you're going to use it. The naysayers are usually people who wouldn't ever have a need for one, and they see it as if I wouldn't need one, you don't need one. If the costing works for your situation and plans, then you don't need internet commenters to approve your business decisions. I for one would definitely buy art books and such from you!
I LOVE the book binding idea! It is a lot but it would not only be a better deal but I think that it would be a great experience and that it would be super fun and cool.
Honestly, I think you should go for the book binding. Not only would it be great for you with the diy, but I would personally love to see how that works and look into it.
Oh noo! I'm so sorry about the surprise pages D: I didn't comment on yesterday's book binding thing but it did sound like something you'd be able to justify pretty easily. I can definitely see the appeal of it, being able to make my own little sketchbooks to sell whenever I wanted to (and not having them be the janky folded-up-then-stapled kind) sounds like a dream :) P.S. That hip and leg you drew DID look really good.
Hi Baylee, Don’t worry about what others think. Do what you want to do and as long as it makes you happy don’t let others opinions get in your way. I’m sure you’ll get the pages done. Don’t worry about it though. It’s not the end of the world if you don’t complete it before the deadline. You’ve done such a good job so far and I know you’ll keep it up 😊 Speak tomorrow, Molly
i think buying the equipment is a good idea and you’ve done your research. People were probably shooting down your idea because they didn’t realize it’s cheaper to make your own books. But now that you’ve explained it, everything makes sense.
I think you can do it but should just hold off on the full on purchase until you have a good idea of what those first few projects are going to be, even if you had an idea today and ordered everything, it is going to be a while before you would even be able to use it all
Make sure you check how much those book binding machines actually weigh. I've worked on similar machines and even though they are considered "tabletop" they can be surprisingly heavy and an Ikea cubby shelf might not be able to handle the weight and the vibrations when it's actually in use. Also, I guess Canada has a lot less options for POD printing than the US if buying the equipment is that much cheaper than ordering the books outright from a printer. :/
The computer telling you that it ran into a problem happens on Windows 10 sometimes. I usually just force a restart and it doesn't happen again for a while. Hasn't happened to me in like...months.
You look like you are done with this challenge. We know you can do it. I'm cheering for you! (Not that you need it) You got this! Also I loved your rose display you made for your wedding. Just beautiful! Thanks for sharing so much with us.
Now that you elaborated more on the whole self-printing vs. printing through a company aspect as well as the buttons you made yourself, I think it would be a fantastic investment. Especially if you offer to bind books for people for a small fee, it could be a small off-and-on side business. Also, power through those pages, Baylee! You can finish on time! We believe in your abilities!
I think the self-printing idea was awesome and sounded like a good investment for the future. After having tha machines you could really decided to do a lot of different things with them in the future. Businesswoman Baylee over here. It also has me looking at machines.
It's a REALLY good idea and money saving. Plus yes, it would be heaps of fun. I would love to do it myself, I hand stitch signatures to make my own sketchbooks at them moment. Totally get it.
For anybody considering doing this, I would highly recommend aiming to do MORE than 20 pages a day, even from the beginning. Like set your goal higher. I've learned this from partaking in nanowrimo for several years :)
Baylee, there may be start-up grants available from your local council or equivalent - Arts & Business? Might help with core/project funding? Best of luck with printing your own books/pamphlets 😊
I think the time is really the biggest issue for your book binding. You always seem so busy, adding something that'll increase a lot of your time spent may be difficult. Good luck though!
I don't know if I commented on yesterday's video but I totally think you should get the book binding supplies. I would love to be able to do stuff like that though at the moment all of my book binding needs would just be for me personally, so I bind things by hand but since you'd be doing multiple projects and multiple copies, getting it would make sense. Also I love those cherry candies too.
I don't actually think that this isn't a realistic challenge. It's only realistic when making art is your job or when you decide not to sleep anymore Xd I think I will take more time for this challenge =)
I love the idea of making your own books! It's amazing and think, you spend the money upfront and you have all the credits of making everything. I personally think I'd feel very accomplished if I did it all myself :) clearly you're thinking about it and not just jumping into it which is good but honestly the haters gonna hate and you do you!
Bayleeee! ^-^ I think if you're entirely sure about the cost-effectiveness of making your own books then go for it! It will likely take some time away from other things (as all projects do) but as a fan I'd definitely be tempted to purchase some of your books. If you go for it, many people will be likely to support you (myself included obviously) :) Also.... was that the No Sleep Podcast during your sketching? It sounded like a spoopy story :P
I think that it would save you money and it sound like fun. I would love to see how it works because I never knew there was book bindings until now. To me it sounds awsome. You do you girl .
I think the book binding machine is a good idea because in the long run it's more practical and you can do it by demand instead of buying 500 then maybe not selling all of it.
I thought the bookbinding was the best idea ever I just didn't comment because I don't like commenting. If you want to, you do it, it's not like it matters where you got the books we are buying, and it's not like people can stop you. Just have fun with your life, you can only live it once.
Since you are going to do it in the future, start not only getting the little projects you want ready for it, like you mentioned yesterday, but a little savings account just for it. Helps to take the edge off when the time comes.
Don't worry about the negatives, I think it's a brilliant idea I've thought about getting one of those book binding machine, expensive to start obviously but you can get your money back from sales. Go for it Bayls
7:52 is the entire reason why I didn't bother commenting and saying that its extremely expensive blah blah blah. I knew you would have already checked it the other options. Especially because we had this discussion when you bought the saw.
It would definately definitely be cheaper to do it at home. Cause instead of paying over 5grand per print run, you'd pay less than that once, then only but paper when it's needed or buy paper in bulk with coupons
I can't believe I'm this early, I usually binge watch all the vlogs at the end of the week and that's why I never leave comments, but hey today is the day hahah. Btw I think the book binding stuff is a great investment, specially if you've considered in the past! But what do I know right? 😂
I think that she has extra pages because she counted one page as two. Like one page is front and back but she counts them as front is one and the back of that one is two.
Baylee, I know you probably won't see this-- girl you probably have so much going on and too many comments. Here's what I have to say about the printing of books. Doing your own DIY books is a great idea. Everything you said--- SMART. I agree. Also, I read a book and the author said often your ideas are good but if you tell someone they will always bring you down about stuff.
I watch a lot of holly’s videos and she’s talked about book binding and stuff so I knew from the start that you would save a lot of money. Publishers and book printing services can get pricy for the creator and makes the book more expensive for the buyer. I feel like you have a god audience and people would buy the books because you have a public image and the diy aspect makes people want things more. People that say it’s a bad idea are childish or actual children that have a very small idea on how businesses work. I’d buy an art book or sketchbook from any of my favorite artist especially if it was handmade.
Wow, it is so much cheaper to purchase your own printing equipment, who would have thought! Should have known Baylee would do her homework. Also you can print and bind only what you need, not multiples of 500. Nice!
Don't mind those discouraging people, there are some who think even selfemployment is too risky for anyone. Sorry for the miscalculated pages, but you can do it! Some have books with less than 600 pages, you got their missing ones.
Whitedanger 2.0 agreed!

Jordan Randell-Tredgett yesss the hashtag.
I think you should do the books, especially a colouring book! I'd buy that in a heart beat! :)
Kelly Reiber omg same I would love a coloring book!! Good luck, for finishing the sketch book.
I thought the book binding was a awsome idea.😮😮 People are deby downers man. You can print to demand aswell.
Referencing back to the button maker really shows how far you've come Baylee. I remember when you bought it and were having so much fun working with it! It's good to hear about it again :)

Thank you for sharing your life and work with the world!!
Bayls keeping me company while I eat my dinner of beans and little sausages - it's not tragic right?!
Omg litrally same, beans and sausages are the best
I think getting the things for you to do the book binding yourself is a really good idea, yes it'll be expensive at the start but in the long run you'd be saving alot of money. That's just what I think anyway. :-)

I love your positivity all the time so thank you for being so bright and bubbly 🖤✨ Love from Ireland
You been uploading soo early, I love it!!
Hi Baylee,

I think the book binding stuff is a great idea!! It makes me so excited!!!
i think buying the equipment is a good idea and you’ve done your research. People were probably shooting down your idea because they didn’t realize it’s cheaper to make your own books. But now that you’ve explained it, everything makes sense.
meh. i feel bad you felt the need to explain yourself to us. if you want to buy a rocket ship its none of my business lmfao.
Not skipping ads anymore FOR BAYLEE!!!! 💪🏻
You do you girl! I would love watching videos on you creating books yourself. I’m excited for your future 😊😊
Please do the book binding thing, it would be sooo cool (plus it would make a GREAT video)!!!!!
I was thinking that too. The videos would be really interesting, and if they have high views, it would help pay for the machines. 😎
I think you can do it but should just hold off on the full on purchase until you have a good idea of what those first few projects are going to be, even if you had an idea today and ordered everything, it is going to be a while before you would even be able to use it all

The best part of the slam is to see the great variety of subject matter. U go grl
Baylee:"Hey look, I went to Victoria's Secret!"
Baylee: *also wearing Pink shirt*
The computer telling you that it ran into a problem happens on Windows 10 sometimes. I usually just force a restart and it doesn't happen again for a while. Hasn't happened to me in like...months.
I think it's an amazing idea!! It's so great that your doing more then just your channel awesome!!💗🎉
You look like you are done with this challenge. We know you can do it. I'm cheering for you! (Not that you need it) You got this! Also I loved your rose display you made for your wedding. Just beautiful! Thanks for sharing so much with us.
Baylee where do you get your card stock because I've been looking into buying bulk card stock and I'm having difficulty finding it here in Canada
You could make a wedding book, a Maddie book or future baby book! All with full pictures and silly Baylee commentary. ♡♡♡
You are doing great so far!! Looking forward to see the sketchbook finished! Which week are you planning to upload the video?
You should do a mural!!!
I think you buying all the stuff to make your own books is a good idea!
This challenge is no JOKE. I get caught up with just one sketch at times that it takes me forever to move on. Don't give up! You can do it!
Now that you elaborated more on the whole self-printing vs. printing through a company aspect as well as the buttons you made yourself, I think it would be a fantastic investment. Especially if you offer to bind books for people for a small fee, it could be a small off-and-on side business.

I love the idea. It does save a lot and you’ll enjoy it. Forget those who shoot you down. Follow what you want not them.
Book binding sounds like fun. If you do it, I'd be looking forward to seeing the whole process.
Who cares what others say, do what you want, I totally understand how fun it is to do stuff like that on your own.
Hello major fan of your art and I’ve got a huge question! Where on earth did you get the art book from? I’m very interested in it
I think the self-printing idea was awesome and sounded like a good investment for the future. After having tha machines you could really decided to do a lot of different things with them in the future. Businesswoman Baylee over here. It also has me looking at machines.

I think your plans are very reasonable! Go for it!

Hey! never clicked so fast before 😂
This challenge is too difficult :P
I always forget to draw lol, anyone else?
UltimateArtistT me
I don't actually think that this isn't a realistic challenge. It's only realistic when making art is your job or when you decide not to sleep anymore Xd I think I will take more time for this challenge =)
I support any decision you make , I know it’s not done hastily . I can’t believe the wedding is right around the corner
When I herd you say "turtles" I instantly thought, only because I watch your streams, "turd-les" 🙁☹️
Baylee! O.O I need a sketchbook that thick Where did you get that???
BAYLEE I DIDNT KNOW THAY YOU LIVED IN VANCOVER I LIVE IN ABBOTSFORD!! OMG!!! I CANT BELIVE I LIVE SO CLOSE TO A RUclipsR!!!

I personally think I'd feel very accomplished if I did it all myself :) clearly you're thinking about it and not just jumping into it which is good but honestly the haters gonna hate and you do you!
Second day in a row that your vlog hasn't shown up in my inbox :( Wth RUclips!

8:36 at first glance, I thought this was a fat bunny or Guinea pig LOOOL
From were you bought sketchbook? Since link u give not working....Thanks
Don't worry about the negatives, I think it's a brilliant idea I've thought about getting one of those book binding machine, expensive to start obviously but you can get your money back from sales. Go for it Bayls
I enjoy book binding
Victoria secret, and bag has no faster, everyone can see your secrets, 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I got here earlier than I usually would cause I'm staying home sick from school
7:52 is the entire reason why I didn't bother commenting and saying that its extremely expensive blah blah blah. I knew you would have already checked it the other options. Especially because we had this discussion when you bought the saw.
Try drawing with Charcoal or something with a big point. Make your drawings a lot more bigger. You can do it!
It would definately definitely be cheaper to do it at home. Cause instead of paying over 5grand per print run, you'd pay less than that once, then only but paper when it's needed or buy paper in bulk with coupons
Were did you buy that sketch book

Lol Baylee you were just windows'd. Solution = nothing. Sometimes it just happens. Happens to me all the time :P. Good luck with the pages!
+JuliaK Art XD
Ya im done blah blah blah..............and i really have to pee.😂😂😂😂
Why are people knocking the book thing?! ITS AN AWESOME IDEA!
😱Baylee getting naughty for the day
do you use OBS for streaming
I'm the same way with raspberries 😂😂
I think that she has extra pages because she counted one page as two. Like one page is front and back but she counts them as front is one and the back of that one is two.
I really lilked the bookbinding idea!!
In my house raspberries make it into the house and are never seen again or there are like 3 that are never eaten because they are bad
Sounds like fun to me! I love DIY stuff. And you won't be confined to their guidelines
i LOVE raspberries as well so when my mom buys a container like that im all over them
Omg I love you 💕💕
You know your diet is shit when Baylee’s favorite snacks are heathy 😂

Best candies? What about your gummy dinosaurs?! Throwback to the early vlogs...
you could also do more than 40 but less than 48 pages per day, leaving you with less than 24 (but obviously more than 0) pages to do on the last day.
It’s ok Bayles. Just remember that if for whatever reason you don’t finish it you did a damn good job and you tried. Im very proud of you.
Wow, it is so much cheaper to purchase your own printing equipment, who would have thought! Should have known Baylee would do her homework. Also you can print and bind only what you need, not multiples of 500. Nice!
