@@jewishparasite100 kind of a late response but when you get gunther's killphrase jaime tells you that it sends 400 miliamps of current or so into their brain and just instantly explodes it so, either she could guess it was her killphrase or she just felt it
I killed her in the 2nd way and without any instruction or forewarning to do so. Honestly it was out of sheer intuition that i did it. As i was playing i thought "the inside of this plane looks like a setup. A death trap for me. Better put a motion detecting bomb here in case someone tries to ambush me" i was in awe that it actually worked! Awesome game
The first time I let her live and she killed the russian so as I thought It was debilitating to kill a resistance leader next time I killed her right there, it's amazing how many options this game gave You. A truly masterpiece

It is very hard for me now to convince new people to give it a try. They just complain how ugly people look in it. Still, I loved the visuals - they are both futuristic and relatable at the same time. I felt like I AM inside that world. Masterpiece.
And the rockets' red flare, Navarre bursting in air, gave proof though the night that the frag was still there! Oh say does that star spangled banner yet wave, Over Navarre's shredded meat and the home of her graaaave!
The GEP Gun takedown is the most silent way to eliminate resistance. Just in case though, Manderly wants you to pick an additional weapon, a sniper rifle, pills, or a mini crossbow.
I am still surprised of all the alternative ways you can approach this game, I did not know you can kill her when you find the hostage. ALso, it took me three playthroughs to realize you can stand your ground at Paul's apartment and save him. As tradition goes: time to reinstall Deus Ex
All you need to do to save him is go out the front door of the hotel. The game doesn't check if you killed everyone and just assumed you did if you leave through the front.
I love how you put the flag on their corpses. I did it too for every exec in UNATCO I knocked out; felt like they were betraying everything about democracy. Thought I was the only one who did it though, haha.
What's REALLY impressive is that Lebedev's 747 was strong enough to handle the detonation of multiple LAM's on its interior. That's one strong aircraft............

I did not know that the ice-cold and emotionless Anna Navarre ran around screaming like a little girl when set on fire. For a game of this vintage, that the cutscenes can be cut off in mid-sentence is pretty impressive.

One time I set up LAMs in the corridor outside of Manderley's office and lured Navarre downstairs. She would be fine, but soldiers ran out of recreation area towards us and detonated themselves and Annie... during the dialogue!
Interesting to see, all these years gone, I remember playing through and doing it differently at each phase, each time, but ultimately deciding the 747 is the place to make life easy for later.
I must say Deus Ex got explosives right, in real life the standard issue frag grenade is far for destructive than media potrays them, and heavy as well however though I pity the janitors because Agent Navarre's exit from time and space made a mess all over hte place, the carpet, the walls, the doors and some on hte ceiling
