Krystian Zimerman's pianistic subtlety matches note-for-note his deep involvement with the music, which seems to grow out of him, creating itself as he plays. The delightful 2nd Sonata of Mozart shines brightly under maestro Zimerman's capable hands.

Its kind of a shame that many people in the world dont listen to classical pianists anymore but we're lucky that the music is still around

I don’t know. I feel like Classical music is still reasonably appreciated, it’s just that society tends to prefer modern music and force us to like that genre (rap, pop etc)

As the intelligence quotient of the world goes down, so the population is forced to hear non-classical music in every possible environment conceivable!!

The mainstream media making billions a year off pop music trying to force us to suck up the next best thing like heroin when in reality all anybody wants to do is go out to the theater or concert hall and listen to Mozart Beethoven Chopin Bach Rach and Debussey and it will probably remain that way for hundreds of years perhaps longer. That's how legendary they were. Schools still teach about Julius Ceasars and Alexander The Great so will Mozart and other classical composers will be in all the music schools 2000 years from now.

I mean.. classical music has never really been the “main stream”, and the world of music has many dimensions the world listens to. Just like Shakespeare’s plays aren’t tended to as much as the latest Hollywood movie, classical musics beauty enters everyone sometime during their life.

The second movement of this Mozart Sonata -- which was written in 1774 -- resembles the middle section a of Chopin's 4th Scherzo, which was written in 1842

The way he plays is so lovely. Drama and song like passages. The triplet sections in first movement is one of those where Mozarts modulations may have sounded too harsh for the taste of (some of) his contemporaries.

J'ai jamais entendu de meilleur Mozart au piano. C'est du très grand Mozart, du grand art, de la part d'un jeune maître, mais déjà accompli à l'époque.

Very fine playing but Clara Haskil set a very high standard in the interpretation of this sonata and also K 330 in C major.
