I so wish Holland Cooper would minimize or remove their giant gold logo on everything. I think it would make their products feel more high end...
I also dont like how they've knocked off the Hermes blanket.
This! I love HC styling but the overdone gold baubles and logos cheapen the looks imo. That wash bag is gorgeous but did it need all of the flare?
Agree! Instead of the big gaudy hc they could do a small simple Holland cooper like Saint Laurent did. Though I sort of feel like their bread and butter clientele right now likes the gaudy, the Chelmsford sort.
Shame, bc the quality is there judging by the few pieces I’ve purchased without all the flare…

I make a pumpkin pasta recipe. You will need 1 cup pumpkin puree, half a cup of white wine of choice, half a cut of onion, teaspoon of nutmeg, a few little sprinkles of chili flakes, four cups of vegetable broth, and one herb and goat cheese 12 oz for the end. What everything and pasta in one pot. Exclude the goat cheese. Let it bring to a boil and simmer down to thicken add goat cheese at the end and serve.

Great minds think alike Lydia. Didn’t know what to buy friends who have everything, as a thank you for an overnight stay, so bought them some Allium Gigantica bulbs as they have a lovely garden. I think they liked them 🥴 thanks for the other suggestions.

For your pumpkin seeds I recommend you also try them with Austrian pumpkin seed oil…it is a speciality from Styria (a region in the south east of Austria)…you will love it!

Love your painting. I dug out my natural coloured linen cloth and have just sorted napkins and gold paper plates and thinking about getting my decorations and xmas cards down thanks to your lovely blog. You have put me in the Christmas spirit and I would also love to read your book as aesthetics are important to you as they are to me and I know if you saw my house you would be empathetic to my taste as I am to yours. I have just had another sort with clothes as the days get a tiny teeny bit colder. It is still very mild which is confusing but I love dresses and skirts and have no desire to jump into jeggings and thick jumpers yet.

I purchased the umbrella b/c of you from H&C over the summer. I’m in America and had it sent . I also have a Swaine Adeney that I purchased after a trip to London
I love christmas and I love gifting. But well this year we said, we will skip gifting withmy family (mom, dad, sister) and only gift our children. To be honest, we all actually have everything already and my parents/sister are no so strong financially. So we celebrate lile every year at our house but only with presents for the children. But lydia like you do, gifting your seeds, this is such a thoughtfull present, it is not expensive and for the heart it gives you much more than expensive presents❤!

You look amazing for 2am - love the outfit too - very English country which I love. The moodboards are lovely and I am thinking ahead too now. I won't go too mad as you have to take it all apart again after Christmas and having a real tree one large one is enough for me. You have a bigger house and I have a second sitting room where my tree will go and it is an old house so lends itself to Christmas. We have family problems at the mo but I am going to do the best I can.

According to baking gurus unsalted butter is better for cakes, breads and pastry as the flour and butter combine better and you get a lighter result. Salted butter for everything else!

You’re supposed to eat pumpkin seeds like sunflower seeds. You spit out the shell. Makes for simpler digestion as well.
