I think pulling the chairs away from the window a bit and angling them toward each other will 1) help further soften all the 90° angles in the room, and 2) give the doorway a more intentional and separate entryway/foyer feel. Or also may give more space for the plant. I caught a glimpse of the dining area in the background and it got me looking forward to joining you on this journey of settling in to your new home (as well as insp for my own!) ❤ Love the family heirloom pieces 💕
I channeled my inner Jenna the other day painting some large clay vases. A chocolate brown one is now a dark charcoal/black with the subtlest white speckle and the other was a pinky brown with some black dots. I just stippled it with white paint and for some reason it turned a beautiful concrete grey with a fabulous range of colour. Can’t believe it went grey instead of a base of lighter pinky brown. You can’t tell they’re painted and the texture is still there. They couldn’t have turned out better, thanks for the inspiration. ❤

You outdid yourself Jenna! I really like the way this room turned out. I always like the way you decorate, just not the lack of color in your designs. You tend to stick to neutrals. I still am able to incorporate the style with my colors, so I love watching you. This time you used some color and I absolutely loved it. That sage green in the pillows looks great and it goes so well with all your stems. I think a little color goes a long way. It doesn’t have to be a bright or dark color, a neutral looking color is fine and all you need. That shade of green is an actual favorite of mine. It just adds so much to the look of the room. Can’t wait to see the rest of your house.

Fireplace looks great! If you ever decide to use fireplace (I know you’re not planning on doing so), you could find appropriate paint or think cut tile to go over. Room looks lovely! Seagrass or similar natural shades would be gorgeous too with your sheer drapes. :)

It would add consistency through the house if used in a couple of spaces. What would the room look like with the chairs on an angle and pulled out from the window a little with a stool/mini table or the vase and branch between them?
