That mustang is trash. Or the driver sucks. It got smoked by a whipple stang. Racer x youtube had a tt stang and was doing in the 4 second range 60-130’s. And killing supercharged stangs. Puttin out like 1000whp stock with just the tt kit

S58 is such a powerhouse with basic mods, and the ZF8 does an excellent job considering it's not a DCT!
Love the zf trans. Really says a lot considering 4600 lbs charger can make 950 whp and last. Different variants but nonetheless zf does a good job.
ZF8’s are better. Handle more torque

@@95regShamil depends what clutches are in both, my standalone TCU stock 8P70H shifts in the 80ms range under full power (~550tq) which is quicker than almost any stock DCT. no preselection delay that you have with a DCT either which is also really nice day to day. though DCTs do still win in terms of fun and smoothness for sure

Mustang must be running pretty low boost. High boost in a Stang should easily make 1,000 hp wheel. Cudos to the BMW, though.

@@hasan_440iGen 1 Coyotes limited around 700whp stock motor but Gen 2 and Gen3s will take 1000+whp all day stock motor. There are hundreds of them running for years out there

Fair win to the BMW, the awd definitely squeezed a gap on the hit, Mustang driver can blame the L squarely on not brake boosting on the hit. If he'd done that properly, top end he could've squeezed past the BMW

no there’s lots of big hp cars on stock trans but they mostly roll race so they don’t grenade the trans on a dig. You don’t necessarily need to build it but it wouldn’t hurt to 🤷♂️

Cleetus and crew are stand up guys so it's expected of them to do that, but I bet even they were like WTF, how can this brand new built motor blow up so soon and put them in a pickle like that, I know James and George definitely were😂😂

This is a story of gearing. I'd imagine 3.55 gears would fair better vs the 3.15 gears. Could be wrong.

Boy in m3 always afraid to go over 160. Every time he races, he says the same, that's 160, get a pair of pants, and do 180 at least on those that are close races and creeping at the end.

This Mustang driver is always to slow to start racing… if you have a fast car you need to be ready when it’s go…
Reality is....A BMW M3 is $74,000 to start without any options. Then he has about 6-$8,000 in mods not including labor (seeing as that most BMW owners don't work on their own cars).
Then the stock motor is only good for around 700rwhp (this car is obviously making more than that) so WHEN The engine finally blows, it's going to cost him 2 to 3x times as much as it would to put a built motor into that mustang.
Then you have to transmission which is a lower torque version of the hellcat transmission (8hp76 vs 8hp90) which in a BMW is going to cost the owner another fortune to have built. So by time everything said and done. He'll have $200,000 into that car without upgrading turbos. This is why I haven't bought them to the BMW hype
You can't be the average Joe and afford the cost of a high-performance bimmer !
No one that buys a 6 figure car is worried about dollar per horsepower like you're describing. The only people that worry about money to that extent cant afford the car to begin with. Any G80 owner can easily go and buy a mustang and make 1000+hp and call it a day. They bought the G80 because its more than just a straight line car and full of luxury + tech that the stang doesn't have. Lets be real, do you make this same argument against twin turbo huracans? Obviously the Huracan has greater potential than both cars mentioned but by using your logic the Mustang is the better buy because it costs less to make power... but lets just ignore all the other things the lambo has going for it right?
