  • More than 24 hours (25 dives), were spent underwater filming Tiger Sharks, Great Hammerheads, Lemon Sharks, Caribbean Reef Sharks and Nurse Sharks, at Tiger Beach in the Bahamas. Over 1000 video clips were taken in the making of this Hi-Definition movie. Needless to say, it was a very difficult task to reduce that amount of footage down to the 13 minutes you have here. Hence only the very best clips were used. I hope you enjoy watching the movie as much as I enjoyed filming and editing it.

Please write us always that you post something cause we have not a lot of free time (6 daughters, 5 dogs and working all day long) and we don't check posts very often... so we don't want to miss these great things you do!!!!! We want to come back to Bahamas! We've been in Bimini but we want to go Tiger Beach also!!!! Sending you a big hug :)

      :))))) Thank you for your kind words. I'm soooo happy that you like it!!! It makes a difference hearing your compliments, as you know exactly how much effort goes into making these movies. As you already know, it's a priceless experience to dive with such magnificent and beautiful creatures as these sharks. And because of the time and effort we both put into producing these videos, we can relive every moment again and again and again. And through our movies we inspire others to also visit the place you and I are fortunate enough to see. Thanks again guys! Wow, 6 daughters and 5 dogs!! I have just the 2 boys, and a full time job like yourselves. And I thought I struggled to find time to work on my videos!! lol. Take care. Big hug too!

      Steve!!!!! I understand you perfectly!!!!! That's exactly what happens to me! And only someone who also has done it can imagine what a big effort and dedication means making these videos! You arrive from a trip with hours of footages and lots of GB to look over. Then you have to find the song and make everything to create something to share with the rest of the world the beauty you have enjoyed, the magic and the peace you felt. And so they can learn to love the oceans and the wildlife and to protect them. That's not easy... hundreds of hours and lots of love and dedication... hehe! I know it, and that's why I value so much your videos!!!! Congrats again! You are really an artist! We really enjoy watching your creations! And as you said, with our movies we can relive those magic experiences again. All the best from your Spanish friends :)))))

      @@jordiahumadasofialopez1818 You've said lots of lovely complementary things again - thank you!! It seems we both inspire each other with our videos, which is really nice. :)))) I'm off to Socorro again next week, which I'm VERY excited about. Then it'll be lots of hours sat in-front of the computer editing and looking for music, etc. At least its relaxing!!! All the best, from your friend in the UK.

Yesssss, you do inspire us and we love to share with your our passion for this amazing blue world. Best fishes for Socorro!!!! Hugs :)

    What dive outfit were you with?

  • @sherylbjerre9636

    Are these massive shark being lured by a box of fish & given nothing? esp that hammerhead. I saw one tiger given a small bit. Doesn't that cause a potential dangerous scenario?

    • @SteveColliganUK
      @SteveColliganUK  Год назад +1

      Hi Sheryl, I’m pleased you liked the video. Yes, the fish in the box does bring the tigers and hammers closer. The sharks were getting some of the fish in the box, but not so much that they become reliant on it.

  • @oneworld3719
    @oneworld3719 5 лет назад +2

    Question...Why ... do they feed only Tiger and not Hammerhead? is there any reasons behind this ..is it because Tiger is much more aggresive???

    • @SteveColliganUK
      @SteveColliganUK  5 лет назад +2

      Hi OneWorld, I'm happy you enjoyed my latest video. And thanks for the nice comments about the quality of the video. They were feeding the Hammers also. To be honest, they weren't feeding the sharks much anyway, but it kept them close by, thinking they were going to get more fish than they did.

    • @oneworld3719
      @oneworld3719 5 лет назад +1

      Steve Colligan and why you wrote ..keep eyes on Tiger .. is she really bad behavior? How long do you allowed for one dive like this film ? 30mins? or longer?
      Actually I just planing for Tubbataha, but once you film pop up... I change my plan immediately!!! I love sharks so much and want to be there so badly ...

    • @SteveColliganUK
      @SteveColliganUK  5 лет назад +1

      @@oneworld3719 It's only 12 metres deep max, so each dive was at least 1 hour long. Ultimately these Tigers and Hammers are wild animals and big ones at that. On one dive there were 4 Tigers and 2 Hammers, plus the other sharks, so you have to keep looking behind you. As the Tigers were the biggest and potentially most dangerous, we were told to always keep an eye on the Tigers.

    The feeding and nose rubbing and stuff is a bit too much of a circus show for me. But the scene at 2:00 is a great show. Would love to go there but it is too much of a animal circus with the feeding and attracting as many sharks as they can and touching the animals all the time, turning them onto their back and so on. Just put a box with smell 30m away from me so from time to time I see a shark swimming by is much more naturesque because Tiger Sharks are normally alone, seeing 3 or sometimes 10 of them at the feeding events (like they do it now) looks not like nature but like a circus show.
