I did my first dives with sharks less than two months ago: Bull Sharks in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. I cannot say how many hours I spent watching videos of other people diving with the beautiful gray ladies, biting my nails and thinking "well, is just six months to get my chance", and then three months, and then two, until one day my wife and me were surrounded by a dozen Bull Sharks and thinking "WOW, IS REAL, WE ARE HERE!!"... And now we are watching videos of other people diving with Hook and Emma and the rest of tha band... and you can imagine how the tale is going, hahaha!! Thanks so much for showing the world the truth about sharks, and for giving us divers the chance to share that incredible experience.
It s realle amazing. My son has found thıs video. He s 4 and he liken shark so much. He s watching your video few times in the day. With big pleasure and full of attention. Thank you for this feelings which we could feel because of you. It s wonderful
It's rare these days for children to not be afraid of sharks! It's wonderful that your son loves the video! Sharks really are misunderstood creatures. Perhaps he will become a diver when he gets older 😊
Che meraviglia guardare questo video e che coraggio avete ad immergervi con questi pericolosi predatori dandogli da mangiare per fare le riprese belli loro bravi voi

Wow! Great camera work in this video! I love all the different camera angles you used. Going back in January and can't wait to try my drone there for the first time.
RocksandSharks thanks buddy :) Do note that there are new drone regulations for the Bahamas. I'm heading there in two weeks to shoot for a show and had to apply for permits even for a Phantom 4. Best to check.
Nice... I had a dive with sharks at Hawaii to it wasnt a tiger and this one right here is blowing my mind!! Definitely its on the top of my bucket list
@@KayBurn LOVE SHARKS, all of them being such beautiful, majestic, and magnificent creatures very much misunderstood by people. Humans need to be educated about sharks and their importance in the ocean, as well as understand their behavior. They are NOT MONSTERS NOR EVIL, they do what is in their nature to do like any other animal. Why can’t people understand that? It is beyond my comprehension. Having said that, I wish I could see sharks in person, it will be the greatest thrill of my life. Sharks are my passion in life, and I will love them until I die. 👍👍♥️♥️
Looking to do this dive later this year. Are you the operator as well as videographer?? I just got back from Komodo with my Phantom and had a blast on the ocean. Really enjoyed the drone footage mixed with the underwater video.
Bengalboycom both in this case buddy. I actually have a trip heading out in 5 days for this year's season. it will include great hammerheads and Dolphins as well ;) There is a discounted last min spot if you are keen... if not, do message me on Facebook and I'll be happy to help with information for your planning!
Cool! I was looking into a Liveaboard trip as that is what I enjoy. Can't go until March or afterwards. However, I'm always looking for a deal when it comes to great diving & photography!
Yup, only 7-11m depth in clear water and white sand that reflects nicely on the bellies ;) Some liveaboards offer night or sunset dives... You will need lights for those dives of course ;)
Great video, man! God, I wanna go so bad. I had no idea I have to scuba certification to do that. Hope one day I'll get a chance. I ❤️ 🦈 🦈 🦈. Great vid. Def *+* 👍
Solo Rider yeah, it's an easy dive, very shallow. But you must have certification and preferably dive experience. it's very safe but rushing to the surface in panic for example is extremely dangerous....
Question, you said I should do a few dives before I do it. Why can't I do it right away? The only reason I'm getting certification is to go shark diving.
was this at anchor chain or fish tales? kind of looks more like anchor chain but we were told the tigers don't show up there as much anymore. also, great job on the video
I have two questions... 1. How many species of shars have you been in the water with? 2. Which ones were a little more aggressive that you really needed to keep an eye on while diving? Great video as well!
I've never kept track really. A fair few bit not all of course. All large sharks need to be respected and with an eye on at all times. They can tell if there is eye contact. Having said that, the one that made me nervous were large great whites while the sneakiest one was the bull shark. If you take an eye off them for just a moment, they are suddenly closer to you... And then they stop when you watch again.
Great video! Owesome images you got 👍. Water looks so clear that even with my gopro7 I could get owesome footage, do you think? I hope to go there soon.
Yes. It can be really clear... But on some days if the weather is bad, the vis drops... However the sharks come so close it won't matter too much 😁 Gopro footage would certainly do well! Just know that the Tigers might want to chomp on a camera on a stick 😅 I have 2 groups going back in Feb and April next year...can't wait! Hope travel isn't a problem by then
Thanks! I used a first generation Sony A7s with a Shogun recorder back then. The lens was the Nauticam WWL1 wet lens with a 28mm lens inside. I can't wait to go back. I have a group of guests that were supposed to join me last year and the trip got postponed to this year because of the hurricane destruction in 2019 late... Then this year's trip is postponed till early next year because of covid.... Arrrgh
Yes you can! It's important to remain calm but vigilant. The deepest we go is actually 12m and we don't usually move. Instead we are weighted heavily so we can kneel comfortably on the sandy bottom. If you would like to join me on this trip, I have a group going next Feb (2022) and may have space. Please message me on Facebook for more info. facebook.com/KBurn/
Heheh... Sharks are really misunderstood. The only shark which is really unpredictable is really the bull shark because of the amount of testosterone in its system. Most other sharks generally are quite timid with strange non aquatic creatures like man... Especially with scuba gear. The tiger sharks seen here are known to have attacked men. Just like great whites. However, many of these attacks are usually as a result of mistaken identity in water with poor visibility. As you see in the video, they really aren't the mindless, ferocious, man-eating machines that movies and some media portray them to be. :)
And for responsible divers who can pledge not to treat the underwater world like their own personal amusement park, be mindful of rule 4 from Project Aware: "Protect Underwater Life -- Choose not to TOUCH, FEED, handle, chase or ride anything underwater. Your actions may stress the animal, interrupt feeding and mating behavior or provoke aggressive behavior. Understand and respect underwater life and follow all local laws and regulations."
Will the reason they were touching the sharks were to avoid any accidents and simply pushing them away . As a diver myself I understand to not touch feed or handle any marine wildlife but at some places it is necessary.
@@imagelessocean9460 Nope. The reason you were able to get this completely staged, unnatural video in the first place is because sharks have come to associate divers with food at Tiger Beach. That's why they swarm the boat as soon as you get there. This is basically Disney Land for divers. You can make cool underwater videos without promoting this bullshit.
Schade... 😔😔😔

Kay I just want you to know that whenever I miss Tiger Beach, I watch your videos because they really are the best!
Awww thanks! 😊 🙏
Those sharks have probably never been shown affection in their entire lives.
That guy feeding the shark has some balls with his hand almost in the Sharks mouth. Give you serious credit for this
Yeah, that was really close.... take your eyes off these fellas for just a second and you might find your hand where it shouldn't be :P lol
balls of steel..jesus christ..amazing
Hahah, they really are like puppy dogs buddy.... Just don't let them nibble on you
What a beautiful amazing animals wow!
This one is even better! Lol. Thanks. I'll have to add the WWL to my kit for sure.

Sweet video, Mr. Lim. Very nicely filmed. And, amazingly, the music fits too - that almost never happens with U/W videographers.

I have a trip with Epic Diving early Feb. If you are interested in joining, do send me a direct message 😉.
What rig are you using for the underwater videography? Nice stuff
Thanks buddy. I use a Sony A7s and an Atomos Shogun. Both are encased in Nauticam underwater housings. :)

How deep is it? Can we do it with the first level of scuba diving?
