- Welcome to Build & Battle Season THREE: Gymkhana GRID! This is big stuff right here. We've never attempted a GRID build in-house here at Hoonigan, so what better time than now. In one corner, we've got a familiar face: Josh Mason, along with teammate Alex Grimm building a 3rd gen Camaro into competitive GRID car. And in the other corner, we've got team NYC: Suppy and Jamo, two of the East Coast's finest builders, stuffing a Honda K series into a 350z.
East vs West, import vs domestic, turbo VS N/A. All with a big race at the end, of course. This should be goooooood.

They probably waited until S1 aired before commiting to S2 to see how it did.. Once it was clear it was a homerun show, S3 probably didnt need that confirmation period.

I think rally might be tough because to be able to race in any sanctioned rally race (that I know of) you need to spend almost the entire budget in safety alone.
Alex Jennings well that could depend on how fast of cars they use, and what setting they do the final race in, so far every build and battle has had a cage and proper safety, they could also always raise the budget slightly to conform to what they are doing, say 11 or 12,000, considering they found 10,000 to easy for the drag cars

@@alexjennings3165 Who said anything about sanctioned? So far, they've just done their own thing. They've got the pull to put together a short Rally section to run them on if they want to.

This series is going to be so SICK! The challengers are going to be so competitive. LS swap into the 3rd gen Camaro, Honda J32A2, F20C, or K24 swap with a turbo or two into the tree fiddy, hell yeah! I seriously can't wait for these videos! I know they've already shot them all and the challenge has already taken place, but I'm going to have to root for the tree fiddy.
The race has not yet happened, and both cars are still being built! This is shaping up to be an incredible season.

Really hyped to see Ron is hosting this series. I like his take on things a lot. Last season was good with Bad Daddy Braddy and the Vargas Brothers but it was focused on the shit talking and I don’t think having Hert host it made things any better. Looking forward to episode 2. No matter what happens with these builds, they’re both going to rip.
I want to see the mullet 3rd gen in all it's smoking glory take this win.

vqs aren't the best engine to build. Been out almost 20 years and you never see vq builds really. excellent engine just not the best to build with FI

Addicted4Life ! They definitely could’ve sold off a lot of that interior and every suspension component they’d pull off if they went Detroit speed. It wouldn’t be a lot but it’d help. If they went simple with the drivetrain they could’ve gone a little crazy with suspension.

I love the fact that you can say "Ken Block" level, and everyone understands. Personally, i think that's Ken's biggest achievement in his mission to have fun. Having established himself and his creed as a baseline for young'uns to follow and aspire to.
