Oh my gawd! You're the only other person who noticed that. As I was watching him do that live, it just struck me anew how evil he is for some reason. There's something so petty in how meticulous he is about that name plate.
Yes, the name plate thing. He moved it five times before he sat down. And, rolling the tongue??? What was that about. I have never seen anybody do that.
I hope from the bottom of my heart that you or someone you know get falsely accused of something. Then I want you to do anything other than what this man did to defend himself.
All he had to do was tell the truth. What he actually did was lie, cry, and deflect. Being a judge, I'm sure he has interviewed witnesses accused of heinous acts. What do you think he would of thought of witnesses who acted like he did? Whether or not he attempted rape or has a drinking problem, clearly he does not have the character to be promoted to the SCOTUS.
And yet, Dr. Ford held her calm in the face of clear personal anguish while recounting traumatic events that have affected her for 30 years while being minimized at every opportunity. Kavanaugh is allowed to be partisan and temperamental at his job interview because of a less than 30 day delay? Yea?
@Josuke Ruins Everything. You sound like a man that has never had the courage to walk a day in a woman's shoes. Another words you don't realize the comment you made has been made on women's behalf for centuries and yet there told because of the way they acted they won't be taken seriously. When in reality men in power already made up their minds about that previously and just laid in wait to say some excuse that sounds legit like that. Excuse me if I say the word...hypocrite. If I am wrong then take a look at that comment again and realize that is an age old excuse that should not be said if you are not ready to say that about a woman too. Especially one that claims sexual misconduct. I pray other males both young and old will change that mentality.
@Josuke Ruins Everything. you know dr. Ford has recieved treatment in the past wich as evidence holds bigger sway then a he said she said argument vs two people. Putting that aside there is no excuse for his rude, smurky, question dodging attitude when you are in the job interview of one of the highest jobs in office worldwide, he is not supreme judge material. I am 200% sure there are better conservative candidates that can hold their cool under these circumstances and have no morally grey past and an alcohol problem. Mic1904 I think the timing and how little detail is given in fords story. So personally I think she's lying. If any evidence came out against kavanaugh I would reconsider but for now I'm going with hes innocent until proven otherwise. I think everyone else should do the same.
Being a judge, he should know how to give straight answers, lying or no lying. But, for a fact, he lied about Devil’s triangle being a drinking game, he said that all 4 of his and Ford’s mutual friends have denied the story, which was a lie coz one of them has said he remembers some parts of Ford’s narrative and is cooperating with the FBI. Lastly if he hasn’t done anything then why didn’t he say that he wants an FBI interrogation, why dodge the question? @@lennyrose5852 Erik Frost ok so here's the thing tho: there is no lack of free speech. Television is about ratings and the SNL audience is generally not composed of Trump supporters. deathburrito23 That still makes them hypocritical. Being a pretty liberal show, showcasing progressivism and making fun of the right for being “oppressive”. When they intimidate and bully a man for wearing a hat with no obscenities or nudity? You find nothing wrong with that because it would have been bad for theyre ratings? A man speaks his mind and they cut away and ban his speech. And your logic is “what were they supposed to do?” I’m not crazy about Kanye but it just baffles me how you or anyone else is fine with them doing that to someone. That’s totally fascist and hypocritical of them, but here you are saying “it’s just business”. Would you or the rest of the Democratic Party be ok with it if a very liberal musician went on a Republican tv show and was bullied and her speech banned? Would it be fine then, if it would for you then how do you think you’re party would react? It’s not the networks fault is it? Their ratings would take a dive so it’s just business, they can do whatever they want. Even though they preach about freedom of expression and bash the opposite party for being fascist. Surely not hypocritical at all

It makes sense that he’s upset (especially if being wrongly accused), but as a judge his actions reflected badly on him. Regardless of whether he did or didn’t do it, I don’t think he’s a good choice for the Supreme Court.
Of course he couldn't. If you were accused of rape and your children - your family - became involved in the whole fiasco, are you going to tell me that you would have been composed?
@@angelbenitez174 when you're a supreme court nominee or a high position in the country then yes, I would hope so. Clinton was interrogated by the republicans for 11 hours and never once lost her cool. Even Clarence Thomas who was accused of sexual harassment and now serves on the supreme court never lost his cool when he was defending himself.
mikkapitan well said.
mikkapitan well he was being held on trial for rape, for if he loses, he’s sent to prison, or to death row. I would be mad too lol
conenubi701 because she knew no matter what she would be fine. She could lie all she wanted, but this man would be crucified on the cross for doing nothing, when Hillary actually did something.
Matt Damon was spot on! Too bad they didn't parody the beginning when he straightened his name plate for two minutes. Lined up his water for another two. This parody was funny! And, as someone mentioned below.....the excessive tongue rolling. Kavanaugh came across like a teen-age frat boy.....certainly not a candidate for Supreme Court.
OCD?
I hope from the bottom of my heart that you or someone you know get falsely accused of something. Then I want you to do anything other than what this man did to defend himself.
All he had to do was tell the truth. What he actually did was lie, cry, and deflect. Being a judge, I'm sure he has interviewed witnesses accused of heinous acts. What do you think he would of thought of witnesses who acted like he did? Whether or not he attempted rape or has a drinking problem, clearly he does not have the character to be promoted to the SCOTUS.
SNL missed a great visual by not having Damon adjust his name plate and papers.
Gordon Adams Ikr lol...it was totally nutty
Luv to see a parody of Ford too!
They pulled this off in a day we can give them a pass
Ikr it was so weird when he did it. Like he was begging to be the butt of every SNL skit
Amazing that they made this in a day. But damon should have done the tongue-in-mouth-rolling thing as well. Great anyway.

This is how not to act as a judge. Partisan and with a temper
Ted LeMoine he was driven to anger by evil Feinstein who held the letter
Edit: no corperation would touch a man acting like this in their job interview with a ten foot pole

Can't prove or disapprove such allegations in a hearing but it sure did show us what kind of a person Kavanaugh is.
Jake Sullivan the kind to defend his name when falsely accused of attempted rape?
@@ted3007 - How do you know it's a false accusation?
Mic1904 I think the timing and how little detail is given in fords story. So personally I think she's lying. If any evidence came out against kavanaugh I would reconsider but for now I'm going with hes innocent until proven otherwise. I think everyone else should do the same.
Question Everything yep
Being a judge, he should know how to give straight answers, lying or no lying. But, for a fact, he lied about Devil’s triangle being a drinking game, he said that all 4 of his and Ford’s mutual friends have denied the story, which was a lie coz one of them has said he remembers some parts of Ford’s narrative and is cooperating with the FBI. Lastly if he hasn’t done anything then why didn’t he say that he wants an FBI interrogation, why dodge the question? BTW if you are a candidate for judge of Supreme Court, then YOU have to prove that you are worthy by clearing your name of any accusations. That’s what these hearing are for, it’s a job interview.
Matt Damon for SCOTUS LOL
I find myself laughing - then as I realise where we've come to, a feeling of deep sorrow.
Nguroa I feel the same, when a woman with zero evidence of her claims can nearly destroy a man’s life, livelihood and reputation and make him break down and cry. Then the same people who preach about toxic masculinity make fun of him for that. Pretty sad world now
Erik Frost
Alright, tell me again, who passed a polygraph test and who refuses to take one? Oh, right, the liar was the one who passed the truth test and the innocent man is the one who acts up during a hearing after 5 minutes. They literally just asked if it was true and he cried like a 2-year-old. I don't know about you, but when he's found guilty you can probably find me crying with joy for the justice being served.
Josephine George yeah you’re hoping for that moment aren’t you, you scumbag. She passed a two-question, non-standard test. Why was it non-standard? That’s the kind of test you pay for. Erik Frost yup, im the scumbag bc i dislike white men who use their privilege against others. okie doke
Looking at the way he handled himself last week I would sure be nervous to see him as a Supreme Court Justice. Going off on his tirade about the Clintons, Democrats and others
Not going to district police and reporting the incident, senator sitting on the letter for a month, attempting to stay anonymous instead having a media covered hearing, no discerning details regarding a criminal investigation, it's a political smear campaign to delay til midterms unconcerned with putting a sexual predator in prison.
Yes go to the next guy who is not a drunk

deathburrito23 That still makes them hypocritical. And your logic is “what were they supposed to do?” I’m
not crazy about Kanye but it just baffles me how you or anyone else is fine with them doing that to someone.
