I hate how they removed the animation where pokemon get closer to the enemy pokemon if they used a contact move, It gives more impact to the move they using.
People said that is because SV and Legends were being developed separately but they were told to follow the same battle mechanic, so maybe Legends experimented a little more with these new mechanics while SV kept it simple. Hope so, they will use the legends mechanics in future games or even better an enhanced version of that
It’s because there is a difference in the rating systems around the world. If there is contact, some rating systems will rate it as more violent than if they don’t.
@@tothemax1517 BS excuse. multiple fighting type moves in the past (I.E close combat) have made contact animations with the opposing pokemon. im sorry but that explanation is null and void when you show how many contact moves in the past well, made contact animations. also, im 90% sure plas rating didnt go up around the world despite this. but i could be wrong because i havent heard anything about it (people would make a big deal out of it like how they did with miitopia)
I mean, if any other Pokémon get it without Liligant's build, if they made the animation have the dance, imagine how actually stupid that would look, that one kind of makes sense
How did they manage to make every attack animation worse in the newer games? Even the pokemons animations are worse. Makes Legends Arceus look even better.
I think that since you can clearly see Hisuian Decidueye's sharp claws while using Triple Arrows in Scarlet and Violet, it unintentionally makes it look cleaner to me than in Legends Arceus
To a lot of people, me included, this matters a lot. To others, not so much because "the game is open world and the others weren't so that makes up for it." I've met some people who tried to use it as an argument but. The game being open world doesn't hide the fact that it was still rushed and the animations are still worse than the games proceeding it.
I think a big problem here is the move impact from PLA is gone. That umph goes a long way in giving the moves that visceral flare. In SV they look incredibly static which is a shame. I hope the next games pull more from PLA and more importantly, given more time in the oven.
Honestly some of them aren't too bad, Hisuian Decidueye is not bad but it would obviously look better if it made contact and didn't keep flying when the arrows were being fired, that's not how it worked in Arceus. Some looked really bad though, like Dire Claw? How do you mess up that bad? Also, it might just be me but Wave Crash actually looked better in Scarlet/Violet compared to Arceus?? I hate how dirty they did Spacial Rend. It's not that bad but why does Palkia disappear? Why don't the fragments of space scatter more? They just fall and don't disperse!
They have to be at a certain level to learn them. If you don't see the move in rememebr list, they haven't reached that level yet or might be bug if they are.
@@piercemat331 it's already a terrible move. And they're giving it the worst secondary effect. Speed is useless. Special Attack is the best stat anyway
Oh yes pokemon hit the air when it is supposed to be a close ranged physcial move. Lazy, rushed and cut cornered, so gamefreak. Well fans are still gonna buy it.
Yeah, I thought so too, but I found out that Origin Pulse (Kyogre) and Dragon Energy (Regidrago) use the exact same animation, only Dragon Energy is purple. Other than that, there are some that just look terrible, even if its picking up from a previous game.
>get over it Sheesh, could gamefreak defenders get any more condescending? It's not just these moves that look worse-every single animation in Scarlet and Violet is pretty much objectively inferior to the ones in Legends arceus. It's a step down in terms of animation quality, objectively speaking

Legends was such a good game
How did they manage to make every attack animation worse in the newer games? Even the pokemons animations are worse. Makes Legends Arceus look even better.
Because the moves for scarlet and violet need to be balanced and ported over the the completely different battle system
It's probably because of the free camera and the fact that moves are overall faster compared to PLA. This doesn't change that the moves sucks tho

i need to say it, PLA have the best attack animations of all the pokemon saga
Went from a step into the right direction then went 2 steps back
I love how h samerott said u had to get it to for standing so close😂😂
nerfed animations in S/V smh
Wow, the attack animations looks so much worse in Scarlet and Violet. What a shame.
So true...Hope everything gets better for the next game
Guess it was true when they said “high quality animations”
They could have just reused the animation and almost no body would have cared if they took time to make the game good
Why is Shelter literally just Iron Defense
After watching this I'm realizing that, like how Origin Palkia was de-armed, Origin Dialga got a muzzle put on it. D:
Not de armed, its arms are its front legs now
@@flallana18 The forelegs of an Equine =/= the forelegs of an All4s Mammal, let alone the arms of a bipedal one.

I miss Alpha pokemon
We’ve gone backwards 😂
Just thinking this 😢
I think the only move that looks on par or maybe even slightly better in SV is spatial rend by palkia.
My 3 favorite Hisuian Pokémon
3 Sneasler
2 Overqwil
1 Basculegion

Wave crash had more power in legends
Victory dance 😭😭😭😭
The Downgrade of Ceaseless Edge is sad, a Melee teleporting slash was so Cool, now is a hit to the air, and cuts effects on enemy
Bro just realized Mixeli is a Scarlet player 💀
May I ask how you are able to change the music playing while fighting?
Is there a specific item like the earplugs in Gen 8?
Think he just turned the in-game music off and put in the other soundtracks
Can you relearn these moves within HOME?
Yes.
how did you evolve them if you are not in hisuian?
probably transferred them via Pokemon Home?
Yeah '_'
How do I get roar of time and judgement in violet
They have to be at a certain level to learn them. If you don't see the move in rememebr list, they haven't reached that level yet or might be bug if they are.
By leveling up.
nice shiny drifloon
Ikr
Can you evolve Hisuian Qwilfish and Hisuian Basculin from within Scarlet and Violet?
Only Basculin
Ursaring?
Nope you can’t evolve them only if you evolved them in PLA then you transfer them to Home, then to SV
Pla has a moon cycle s/v dont so nope usaluna

Most likely.

no, Last Respect is a new move in Gen 9 and is the signature move of Hounstone. Basculegion can just learn it through egg move.
