thank you thank you !!! The sole of my character shoes slipped out during dress rehearsal *yesterday* and I have been trying to find a detailed thorough tutorial to fix my shoes ASAP before performance -- your video is the *first* I have found which truly offers instruction! Clear and straightforward. thank you thank you thank you :) (I read through search-diving dance threads about E6000, but no one - in text or video form - explained how they use it!! I bought E6000 today a little blind with what to do and just found your video and now I feel I can repair my shoes for performance!)
Any chance for similar tutorial about doing this on normal adidas or nike sports boots in the near future? :) Also wont there happen to be these air pockets if we use these clips?
I've never done street shoes...I leave that to the pros ;-) I put the shoes under a heavy object for 24 hours, plus the first wearing of the new soles will get them really flat!
@@teresawhitter5814 thanks for the swift reply! The suede soles that I bought have one suede side and the other side is a bit more placticy. I suppose the suede sole needs to face the floor?
I like to put my shoes on before I walk into the club. I know they sell Sole protectors which are like booties. Could I use Tate or something like that. And then take it off when I'm ready to dance. Your opinion, please. Thank you in advance!
It's always best to wear street shoes to your then change to dance shoes when you get there, especially in bad weather! Sole protectors and booties won't save your dance shoes from rain and mud :(
@@teresawhitter5814 You're right! By the way, I was thinking of changing my own Souls. However, find a guy that would do it for $18. I figure not bad. Because I would have to buy the suede soles my time etcetera. Thanks for your video. Love it!
Funny. Today it's working. Looking for the suede soles in the US. I'm wondering if the cost of the items is about the same as the cost to have them done at the shop. Good video though! Happy dancing!

Tulsa Shoe Rebuilders has a video on how they soled tennis shoes, using some kind of grinding machine.

Once the new suede wears out can you remove them and do this again?
Nicky Hi! It's normal to just put the new suede right on top of the old soles. Adds more cushioning too :)
..if you're able to peel off the new soles, then yes :)
I'm a bit confused. How do you tell which side of the soles should be glued to the shoe?
You can glue either side...they're both the same usually :)

@@steliostoutou Oh makes sense! I've always seen double suede sided soles. Yes, the fluffy suede side faces the floor.

@@lamirada90638 Exactly! Even at $18 is cheaper than buying a new pair. Happy dancing and thanks for the feedback!
Audio is incomprehensible on this video.
Not sure what you mean? I can hear and understand fine.
