Linear feels so good for shotgun flicks and building in general but I’m gonna try a smooth play style and see if expo can help with beaming long range better
I've been on expo since day one, and about a year ago I switched to linear for a bit and hit ALL of my close range shots. I might stick with expo as I play a lot of different games and tend to play support.
I switched to exponential a few weeks ago. Agree mechanics tougher, aim better, hadn’t thought about the hand issues that you bring up. I’m an older player and have noticed my hands hurting more, but didn’t connect it with the exponential switch. Personally will likely be switching back to linear because missing lots of edits and don’t need more pressure on the hands.
You hands won’t hurt as much if you raise your sens. It won’t be as sluggish because it’s faster. Try 56/56look 14/14ads 1.5build 1.3/1.4edit Also it helps to have a low deadzone for expo to make it more responsive. No higher than 10. I just lowered mine yesterday from 10 to 7 and it feels way better
I've used Expo and Linear. He right,Linear more responsive.Have a thing for Expo that'll kinda make it Linear.U gotta use a low deadzone (not until u have stick drift) and a high sense and higher B/E multiplier.Try it👈
If you decide to go on expo do 1.7 build and 1.7 edit, 51 horizontal 58 vertical no boosts and build boost off ads is 6 horizontal and 8 vertical with no boosts 8 deadzones
For some reason linear is so good in creative but in arena games it feels chaotic almost whereas everyone seems to move slower if you’re on expo…at least on pc I feel that way
Theoretically, if you get good mechanics on exponential, you will be a better player . The skill ceiling in expo is also technically higher as you will have higher joystick control.
The non advanced sens actually feels really nice I have been playing on it for a week and my aim has felt better than ever and I don't have bad mechanics
@@Bruh1 they play with advanced setting off. so no expo or linear just default settings which are like an in-between/smooth gameplay. I gave it a shot and enjoyed it but switched back to expo eventually.
Your understanding or expo is wrong. What you're talking about is called boost and it's a different setting. Boost can be used with both expo an linear. The difference in expo and linear is mainly in the first 3rd range of the stick's movement area. in center and edge positions there is no difference. But in the first 3rd expo gives you less speed which significantly increases your accuracy.
I have a few ideas for videos but one I'd like to see is how to swap from combat pro to builder pro build settings and vice verya since I've been stuck on combat for a long time and really want to make the switch. Some other videos could be best warmup maps and best control freeks/controllers

Honestly the reason I switched back to expo is because I had only been on linear for a couple months so I and had been playing expo since it first came out. I also didn’t need my mechs to be as good because I IGL and don’t just box fight so switching was easy just 15-30 minutes grinding builds and edits for the first week and I got used to it and I thought on linear my long range ar tags were bad so I switched
Yall want a secret if u got an xbox elite controller go into the accessories where u edit the controller and put the right stick on dynamic with expo feels like a mix
