68yrs ago whilst exploring the caves of Uamh na Uamh I promised myself that I would climb Ben More which, throughout the ealk in from Inchnadamph tantalised ahead. Despite climbing many Scottish peaks the length and breadth of the Country it never happened. But this calm and uncluttered video and commentary has shown me that it is everything I had anticipated. Many thanks.
Hi Keith, Really glad you enjoyed our outing, it’s just a terrific area. We plan to repeat this walk in a couple of weeks so fingers crossed for another good weather day. Cheers
Checked my Munro's diary, wow 31 years ago, June 1990, a fantastic trip, climbing Stac pollach, Conival,Ben mor assynt,Quinag,Sulvien,Binnein mor, Na Gruagaichean, a fantastic trip in my favourite country! Cheers mark.
Hi Mark, What a great collection of classic tops for the single trip. This area is hard to beat for dramatic hills. I know what you mean about time passing as we have similar experience when checking summit dates from years gone by.... it's scary how the years disappear so quickly. Cheers, Charlie.
Hi Charlie, Great memories of climbing in this area did both the hills featured also Sulvien + others, A very peaceful area away from the crowds, the views while travelling up were fantastic. Cheers Mark.
Hi Mark, Glad you enjoyed a memory blast from our trip to Assynt. It's a terrific area with a handful of classic tops. We plan to have our walking week next year in Ullapool which will give us an opportunity for return visits. Looking forward to it.... 👍Cheers
Hello Charlie, hope you and your family are well. Sorry I’ve been away so long but I have been very busy with my summer, my gardens and now I begin to prepare for the fall and winter. The hard work is behind me as we did much work on the house and the barn this year. I am impressed with how far away this looks and I’m sure of how far away the hills or the mountains actually are once you start walking. You must be in really wonderful physical shape to continue walking and hiking like you do. It seems to me that it doesn’t matter how strenuous the hill climbing or the mountain side, you do it with a little effort. This is a very beautiful pretty area with the the Stone hedges, the clouds at the top and just everything that a person sees along the journey. The snow and full at the top makes it all worthwhile. The view that goes on and on till the eye cannot see 👌 Thank you so much for sharing this great beauty with us. I truly enjoyed it. Take care my friend. 💕👌💯😇🇨🇦 LilliStJohn
Hi Lillie, Great to hear from you. Sounds as if its time for you put your feet up for a change after the summer chores. Things cooling down this end and it won't be long before the day light start to shorten. Mike and I work hard on trying to stay active but it get harder particularly with knees that have seen better days.... lol. The struggle goes on but we're setting plans for the Autumn/Winter walks. Covid 19 still lingers on even although we have a high percentage of vaccinations across the country and things have spiked recently with the easing of restrictions.... just got to get through this. Take care, Charlie.
Wow That some ridge and the views are amazing. Great walking. You know your stuff on these munros and hills that's for sure. Scotland once again shows off at her best. Thanks for taking us along. Take care 🏴👍😁🥾🥾
You're certainly putting some miles in this week, Charlie. As you say, this a stunning pair of hills with marvellous views; the rugged quartzite covered summits are so characteristic of these northern mountains. These are two hills I have never been to so it was interesting to see the views from them. You had better weather than we did at home where it was cloudy all day.
Hi Ian, We managed to get ahead of the low pressure and have a terrific day. These two are a grand pair with spectacular views across Assynt. Take care, Charlie.
Hi Charlie, my favourite part of Scotland, just a stunning area. Me and my Dad are so looking forward to doing Suilven later this summer. I hope we get the same clear views as you got! Thanks again for a wonderful video.
Hi Charlie awesome just enjoyed this video upload and all the other video clips since returning from lockdown keep them coming one thing i am enjoying on your walks is the solitude from the crowd's that I am experiencing in the lakes at the moment I hope in the near future things will get back to normal
Hi Philip, It's the one thing that I didn't enjoy in the Lakes visit was the amount of other walkers. All the hills across the country are busier following lockdown but we have a bigger playpark here in Scotland which makes it more enjoyable. ATB, Charlie.
Excellent Chaz, you got better conditions than me, just about got blown off the ridge in between. I was there not that long ago too on the CWT. That car park is a haven for ticks!
Hi Robin, The ticks prefer young meat so were safe :). Enjoying your CWT series and interested on how you felt about the adventure. Take care, Charlie.
Hi Larry, We had a super day and enjoyed this return visit to these stunning tops. Fingers crossed for improving weather through this week. ATB, Charlie.
Hi Alistair, You have just got to love not working :). The hills are quite a bit quieter through the week which makes it even more enjoyable. Take care, Charlie.
Geoffrey, These are a terrific pair of hills with some classic views. We've been on many screes but not on these two. Skye is a good place for dropping height quickly via a scree run and its surprisingly quick to decent providing the stones are of similar size. Beinn Sgritheall at Loch Hourn was another but the legs were a bit stronger then. Cheers, Charlie.
@@charliemccartney7055 We, Michael, my brother-in-law, and I crossed scree returning at lower level from Ben Mor by-passing Conival. Not worth a special visit! Aye, scree runnng is tough on the ankles.

Love those long ridge walks Charlie, Plenty of time to admire the views and you had some spectacular ones I must say! Thanks for sharing! Kris.
Hi Kris, It's a beautiful vast area that isn't quite captured by the camera but just great wondering across these ridges. Cheers, Charlie.

Fantastic as always guys. Nice clear shots Charlie. All the best for now guys. :-)
Hello D&L, Many thanks for watching and looking forward to seeing your recent adventure to Skye & Glencoe. Take care, Charlie.

Good to speak to you yesterday (coming off Conival). Hope you have a good week on the hills. Keep up the great work!

more top stuff Charle !!

Did you find half of the dogs pie up there Charlie? Great watch again. Cheers
Hi Scot, Nae half pie :( but I didn't really expect there to be any left. ATB, Charlie.
On your last cup of tea, it looks like your brother is having a smoke
Steve, I'd need to carry Mike down the hill if he had a smoke :). ATB, Charlie.
