    What an amazing cloud inversion. I have never done those Munro's as I have always been put off by everyone saying how bad the slope is all the way up.. Getting the views like you got would surely make it worth it. Great video mate keep it up.

      Hey Gus, it was a bit of a pleasure to see. Like a wee river of cloud running from Tyndrum around and out over Loch Tay, something a bit different.
      Don't let the slope put you off really. It is a constant but it's not the worse and does have stairs as you saw. I would definitely recommend giving it a bash and push for the two of them if you can.
      It's always a bonus if you get the views too, I'll say that for nothing.
      Hopefully this has gave you a wee insight into these two Munros and you give them a try sometime.
      Let me know how you get on and take care.

    Well done mate! Really enjoyed this, you’ve filmed it really well 😁 Wasn’t sure if you were going to get the views with that clag in the beginning, but once you rise above it - wow! 🤤

      Cheers Scott. It was a cracking wee day and the weather did turn good (if not a little hot in the end).
      The views were superb and I'm hoping to head up there again soon to do a wee job.
      Have you got any outings planned soon?

      @@AScotsmanOutdoors it’s hard finding the perfect balance in weather eh 😅 Aye, I’ve got a couple of hills left to do in Galloway/Arran then looking at the Arrochar Corbetts, finding the time on the other hand, is a different story 🤭

    • @AScotsmanOutdoors
      @AScotsmanOutdoors  2 года назад +1

      It is that. I think I've become a bit of a fair weather / summit view seeker and that has held my Munro numbers back a bit. I might just head out on my next days off despite the weather and grizz a bit of poor weather. I have the kit for it 🤷🏻‍♂️
      I've only done the main few down at D&G but should really do the rest. Even for the views if for nothing else.
      There's apparently a mimetolith near Merrick which I want to see so that could be my next jaunt down there.

    • @outlawedlandscapes
      @outlawedlandscapes 2 года назад

      @@AScotsmanOutdoors definitely, I don’t mind poor weather as long as there is some semblance of visibility on offer 👌🏻It’s “character building” as they say 😅
      Do you mean the Grey Man of the Merrick? It’s an absolute belter! There’s no denying the face when you see it, it’s almost like it was carved.
      Let me know if you fancy a walk/camp down this way at some point, I’ve pretty much covered the Galloway Hills save for Mullwharcher / Minnigaff range.

    • @AScotsmanOutdoors
      @AScotsmanOutdoors  2 года назад +1

      It can let you know what you're made of to be fair.
      Yep, that's the one. The pictures I've saw look phenomenal so I really want to see it in person. I saw one many moons ago in Alaska which was a native American appearance with headdress, so unless I find time and money to get back there it'll be D&G meantime 😂
      I'm sure we can sort something out for a walk and it's always a bonus if someone has prior knowledge of an area.

      Hi ATCFH, I hope you get to see them too. The Scottish hills very rarely disappoint, there's just something about them that strikes a chord.
      The inversion was decent but I'm still seeking that phenomenally mind blowing one.
      I'm glad that you liked the vlog and like I say, I hope that you get to see these hills one day.
      Thanks for the sub!

      Thanks Stuart, they were a grand sight throughout most of the morning and all of a sudden the sun took over and they were gone. Yeah, I've got some in-built insulation so I can last a wee bit longer before the thermal top comes out (which is around now).
      Thanks for watching and I'll definitely keep them coming. I've got a wee channel change coming up soon but stick with it, it's not big, it's for the better and for the hill lovers. All will be revealed in the first vlog of November.

      It was a cracking day and it had a fair few people climbing up Ben More at least, not so much the second.
      Those "stairs" were both a treat and a trial but you're right, they were all the way until say the last 75m.

    • @AScotsmanOutdoors
      @AScotsmanOutdoors  2 года назад +1

      Hey, I'm glad you liked this and hope it's helped for your upcoming shot.
      I returned to the bealach between both Munros and headed down and along the western edge of Ben More down to where the land rover track ends at NN419237, from there I just followed the track back to the start.
      The path from the bealach is to the track is present but like most of the slopes and glen in this area, there are a good few boggy and slippy grass sections. It does however save from going back up and over Ben More.
      I'll pop a link to my route into the description of this video for tomorrow morning. Again, thanks for watching and I'll help in any way. You'll need to let me know how your attempt goes.
