What's the most you've ever paid for an aquarium plant or animal? 😀

There are some plants and fish that I don't tell my wife how much I actually paid for 🤣 "oh yeah, it was only $10...yeahhh....mm hmm".

Wow, never realized that there was a variegated buce species, great looking plant and well worth it if you ask me!

Great video. I'm not into Aquascaping and still was fascinated by the story, the suspense, the fortunate outcome, and what lies beyond any particular outcome which is one's own maturity of self trust and allowing oneself to take risks. Well done, Gavin!

Great video, high risk hi reward! I was also worried when I bought blue Ramshorns from Ontario. Now they are doing well at home and Aprils. Keep up the great work! If you want some let me know! Be happy to drop some off for ya! Love your videos!

Thank you for your comments and kind offer! I’m good for now with fish. Tank is very full, but I’ll definitely keep you in mind! Cheers!

I have failed more times than succeeded. It takes a toll, emotionally. I continue learning from my failures and each progression gets better. This is my drive.

That plant is beautiful. Just wait till it gets big enough to propagate and you will get many more of them making it worth all that money. Keep up the good videos.

This Story Ark was great! I also like your production values and speaking style! I am going to start my own terrarium channel soon and I hope I can deliver a video of this quality one day! Great Job 🥳

I got a variegated anubias nana, but I underestimated how much light a variegated plant needs. It keeps growing new leaves, but my bladder snails eat all of the white parts as soon as it grows. I guess they can tell and determine that it's dead if it's not photosynthesizing. They leave the green alone, so I have the weirdest looking anubias.

How interesting! I also have a nana pinto with a ton of snails and so far it’s okay. Bit like you said it might need more light 💡

@GavinKohAquascaping I think you have a much better light than I do.
Also, my snails might just be jerks. :)

Scrolling plant videos and geting a nice life lesson, great work! Can I ask you if you have co2 in your tank? Could that have influenced the growth of the plant? Thanks :)

    • @GavinKohAquascaping
      @GavinKohAquascaping  2 месяца назад

Thanks for the nice comment. Yes, I use CO2 for the express reason to make the Buce grow :D The ones that don't really "need" it, like Kedagang, grows even faster!

Best easiest plant! I love them and have few beautiful ones in my tank.. I disagree with your statement… buce’s can easily survive in colder easy water; I have these and a few prettiest ones and my tank is just a low tech and cold water and they are thriving!

@@GavinKohAquascaping I am in love with buce’s… anubias a bit less but for pinto and gold which I have in my hanging root garden; created roots myself by glueing pieces for days and then anubias on them but my iwagumi tank is all buce’s … I create aqua Ukiyo-é which is unknown to even Japanese but it is where I get my inspiration for… those traditional Japanese paintings and a holy trinity of nothing more than 3 prominent pieces of whatever you focus on in your design.. go easy, go minimalist and go 3!
The buce you found is available at two stores here in Paris (Yes THE one!) and they are lush and full and rather cheap actually and wish you could get them. I know in this online plants in Netherlands you can get them too whenever they have them in stock

Wow thats amazing that you can get them cheap. I know you guys in Europe have a huge greeen house supplier in Dennerle and Tropica, we in Canada have to have it all shipped in, hence the cost. Either way, thx for your comment!

@@GavinKohAquascaping I don’t know where they come from tbh; I hardly buy Tropica given I don’t set up planted tanks but only use epiphytes and mostly Bucephalandras; I buy them from my local store or online and they’re in pots, not like tropica.. also no Dennerle to see the logo or anything on them upon delivery.. I think they’re locally grown
