    Chris Webber's dad: Son. I'm so proud of you.

    My word, can you imagine getting in the limousine with fu.king Larry Bird! Who can say that? Chris sat next to freaking Larry Bird on a car ride. I have never envied another human as I do Chris Weber. And, the beauty about this is to hear him tell the story. He was a teenager at the time, and his career highlight has already occurred!

    Re: the revenge angle--"they beat us bad therefore our first scrimmage win was legit"--it's at least as plausible (if not more) that the reason they whooped the kids the next day was a way of proving they took their foot off the gas. "We could've done this yesterday." You don't think the vets aren't playing mind games with the rookies?

    The Dream Team lost because of individual egos. Each was trying to prove they were the best on the court instead of playing as a cohesive team. After the loss, they came together.

    • @buddyforbes7157
      @buddyforbes7157 6 месяцев назад +5

      I heard some interviews though that they were tentative that first game. They were also trying hard not to let egos ruin it thus they over passed. It was a case of trying so hard to show they were a team player that no one wanted to take hog the scoring. Anyway, that's the last I heard. Sorry I couldn't find the link.

    He is wrong .... The college kids were up 6 to 8 points midway through the practice game ..... and they turned off the scoreboard ...... and called the play ...... the next day they got their asses wore out by THE DREAM TEAM. Secondly - The time Larry Legend told the college kids to get some F'ing rest ... was in the hallway of the hotel all stayed in. So perhaps puffing up about the best ever players might need some sober recall.

      On day 2, yes. On day 1 when they were also trying, not so much.
      Seriously, if you foolishly believe that those great players - all of whom are elite competitors that never want to lose at anything at any time - weren’t trying the very moment the select squad held a lead, I’ve got some ocean front property in Arizona to sell you.
      We all know the Dream Team was superior to the select team. But pretending that they weren’t trying simply because they lost is disingenuous. That’s why the NBA championship is decided over a 7-game series. Because sometimes a team plays as hard as it can but just doesn’t have it that day or the opponent just has a better day and beats them.
      When a series ends 4-3, nobody rational ever claims that the winning team only “tried” during the 4 games they won. GTFOH.

    The Best example of why you should stay off the weed! CWebb! Could’ve been one of the best bballers ever! I blame his game mistakes and off the court mistakes all on weed and his continued lying! CWebb tells more lies than Donald Trump! In games he forgets to pass the ball, he forgets how much time is on the clock, caught driving and smoking with weed, taking money when it’s not needed! Would’ve, Could’ve been one of the all time top 2 NBA players. But… Money, Weed and Lies! The Ultimate Disgraced Black Man. Or The CWebb Story! The Insiders Perspective. The book is coming out soon!

      Further, you accusing and admonishing Webber of lying is super rich considering your bush league tactics here. You have no moral high ground to stand upon, so just stop.
