NEW BARRY BEATS LP OUT NOW

As featured in the Barry's £1 Beatmaking Challenge video this musical underscore is the result of a 20 year obsession with old Library music and therefore a homage to the way out funkyness of those recordings. The only difference being, no musicians were hurt in the making of these music beds as the whole suite was produced entirely using the latest virtual instruments inside a computer!
Despite the sample dominated nature of Barrys latest video outing, Barry has recently started to turn his back on the shady world of sampling instead opting to create his own vintage sounding lo fi samples. Evidence of this can be seen on Barry's most recent school of beats episode. • HOW TO SAMPLE BREAKS W...
Barry will be shedding more light on these revolutionary new processes in future videos but in the mean time here is a list of the virtual instruments deployed in this Drama underscore...
Drums: Addictive Drums 2
Bass: Native instruments Scarbee Rickenbacker bass
Guitars: Impact soundworks Gibson electric guitar (no longer available for some reason)
Vibes: from the Big Fish Vintage rhythm section
Flutes: Passion flutes by orange tree samples and the tenner flute from Big fish Vintage Horns
Harpsichord: Native instruments Kontakt collection
Strings: Native instruments action strings
Brass: Big fish Vintage horns
Percussion: individual scrapes and hits sampled from old records Видеоклипы
This is art!
Perfect Soundtrack for a Graffiti movie.
Barry and MF DOOM.
That would be a sick collab!
oh yes pls
I cant wait for future uploads :) Love your creativity
Thank you, thank you for starting my year off with a butter mixture of beats. You DEFINETLY set the bar!!!
Wow, this is amazing.
Barry, I appreciate your music, it's amazing seeing how you go about it and I also learn alot about the song building process.
Loving all your vids, Barry! And dope beats as always! Love this style of hiphop. I had to dig up Lewis Parker "Sniper Beats" album to listen to after watching this. Great inspiration! The Molemen (outta Chicago; Panik, PNS & Memo) had a few of these underscore/crime drama/noir type beat tapes too. I'll have to try to dig those up tonight. Keep up the slick work, Barry! Cheers from San Diego, CA
Awesome! The master at work.
If I could i'd like this at least twice, superb as always my good man
🌊 I was wondering if this was you while I was having a lovely time wandering around downtown Los Angeles enjoying the video. BRAVO BARRY BLESS YOUR SOUL 🌊
Word up Barry. Dope stuff as usual

Love your beats and vids Barry.
Thanks for all your posts, and listing what exactly you used. I sort of start getting into beats and stuff and you are a real Inspiration. Surely bought your tracks too. Greetings from bavaria. Btw the Star Wars Tracks just Insane.
Raw funk great upload Bazz.
Loving this think I may have to spend a pound.Love the drum skipping beats, very lalo schiffrin sounding.Love your style musically and apparell wise.
This Dope Man 🙌🙌
Barry getting his Lalo Shifrin on.
I hope we see a making of to this library soon. I love the style, I try so much to capture the same vibe you did, specially the part at 2:19
beats are incredible!
2:20 my favorite
The enjoyment of going to 2nd hand stores and finding 30p bangers and cutting them up to make some beats
Barry does it again.
This is fire
Wow... nice composition!
Bazza you legend! Keep on going on!
I'd buy that for a dollar! (Pound)

Happy to show my support on Bandcamp, first time using the app, go team Cornwall! ;)
i'm not even into hiphop all that much, and still watch your stuff.
((:
you're a pretty entertaining creator Barry, keep it up! hehe.
Holy shit I didn't even get past the first couple of seconds without bringing it back, damn that beat is nice.
Just YES! That's music made for me fam.
good stuff!
i really miss the phase in jungle when they were using sounds like this
Amaze balls Bazza, that really was super authentic sounding... the OST to Mr.Tibbs comes to mind... was that Chariots of Fire the old man pulled out of that little lot you were holding? I'll deffo buy that me old mate!
Those drums, sweet jesus.
Baz, the flute pieces are really impressive. Would love to see a video where you do some flute stuff. Just an interesting sound and convincing as a VST. Ta very much.
Breaks as tight as a squirrels sphincter with 70s noir blended into the ingredients. Spiffing work Barry.👍
This is some next level stuff here. Impressive. Where to go from here? Composing for and conducting a live orchestra, I guess.
My mannnnnnn!
Arise, Sir Barry of the Beats...
sounds like a bob james type track.some great variations in there too
Its really more of a collection of music beds based around reoccurring melodic themes. Very much inspired by 70s library music (music for Film, TV and radio)
you should break down the process, these songs are crazyy!!!
All in good time but gotta finish my album first man
@@Sispex Great, good luck on that!
Very delicious !
this is fucking nuts mate.....
6 for 50p? Blimey, thats a Brucie Bargain. Well played sir.
Thankyou. 6 for 50p was good but you obviously didn't see the fat stack I copped at Lost in Music for just 50p! As Cube once said, It was a good day
Had a re-watch, as the fat stack was such an unbelievable bargain, I don't think my brain took it in the first time round. A marvelous deal. Cube was indeed right!@@Sispex
I don't know whether this music makes me want to solve crimes or cause them, either way it's banging. Love the scorpioesque drums!!
Looks like a 'Warm Heart Cold Steel' in the stack at then end there.
well spotted sir
Pls come back barry
Should have some new vids dropping in the not too distant. Just editing em as we speak. They will include some vids on how I am making these vintage sounding compositions.
Maximum Respect You programming is next level🔥 and really showing what is possible with virtual instruments 👌🏾👍🏾👊🏾💯🎗️🏆
Halfway in and freestyling on everything, his beats are supreme. Why are you not mainstream????
🔥
MATE. The tune at 2:47....fucking WELL THE DECENT AND THAT
BARRY BEATS IS A MUTHAFUCKN GANGSTA 😎
this is fire! reminds me of that super secret us guy, can't remember his name, tho :/
Lewis Parker/Secondson style. Quality stuff.
Lewis Parker "Sniper Beats" album! Check it out!
I supported cause Barry is the shit. Whis he would do an Abelton 10 tutorial.
no luck catching them swans then...
Barry, when’s the next video brev...?
We need a patreon!
Let’s make some tracks Baz
Ill as the flu .. funny how I was paying attention to the beats in background while watching the original vid .. thinking this shits crazy..
When are we going out for a Babycham anyway?
I wonder what Lalo would think?
bought it for 1,45 euros. Lovely stuff.
Thankyou for the support!
Where do you get your motivation and inspiration from? I absolutely love your videos and they have helped me and inspired me much, but I‘m running fairly low on motivation and inspiration for about 2 months now. How do you cope with writers blockage?
As no one has responded to you yet, I will. Hang in there... I can relate somehow. I draw a lot of inspiration from all producers who post, release music and from other avenues of creativity.
Nice work. Can you tell us what virtual and instruments you used?
All in the descriptions fella
Also what are using for those flutes?
Im actually using 2 flutes in these tracks. The main one and one of my all time fave virtual instruments is Passion flutes by orange tree samples but I also used the flutes from the big fish vintage horns for the Barry White style flutes with the end fall offs.
@@Sispex Thank you muchly, thats my birthday present sorted then!
I can hear these in a Tarantino film
Perfect driving music.
Put on Ghostface!
Can we sample your samples and have a beat battle? It would be quite entertaining. ;)
mi777ke777 yea that could be fun. I don’t mind people sampling this stuff for fun but shout me if you are going to be doing anything commercially with it. Also if you plan on sampling some then would be respectful if you copped it for a quid from my bandcamp ;-)
Do you know 808 mafia
But the flute?????
Hi there, the flute was all done using a really amazing virtual instrument called Passion Flute. Here's a link to there site: www.orangetreesamples.com/products/passion-flute
Si Spex in your hands this flute sampler sings. Thanks for the info. This “reclaim the beats” ableton in house instrument thing is giving my brain a new lease of life. It so easy to get stuck in the chopping breaks from finds mentality and becoming creatively generic and a tad stale. I like the way you have breathed new life into the samples with the added instrumentation, its like you have created the holy grail missing link for hardcore diggers, the thing that vinyl heads want but can never truly find.
Si Spex Thought maybe you used this! ruclips.net/video/0OIkBDkYJEQ/видео.html
i refuse to believe these were made with software
housekeys you better believe it my friend. 100% virtual instruments and plug ins :-)
@@Sispex absolutely crazy, makes you wonder why more people arent doing this? I wasnt even aware VST's could make the mark so closely. even the melody instruments have crazy texture. if only most people with access to all of that werent making electronic sounding stuff. seriously good work!
housekeys I totally agree. I can’t believe loads of people aren’t on this. And I don’t even really know how to play the keys!. All this stuff is done one bar at a time very slowly lol. I guess I have just developed a highly trained ear from all those years analysing samples. And my sense of timing is pretty decent. I am literally just doing the ending skit to my new inst album. Side b is literally all this type of stuff. Not a single musical sample to be heard. Make sure you stay tuned as it’s sounding pretty nice even if I do say so myself.
@@Sispex Will be keen on hearing the album. Mind you, I don't mind keeping the whole technique on the low down. Give it 10, maybe 20 years. If this ever caught on I think we'd see the death of the classical, non digital musician
@@fatbastardbeats Ha, No need to keep on the low. I'm all about sharing and promoting these techniques man. I don't think you will ever replace real instrumentation but there is room for all kinds of approaches but
as I am not Prince this approach is perfect for me.
