I live very close to Interstellar. It is out of this world. Fantastic and a perfect trip each time. I cried a little when Noble closed but it was replaced with something so much more spectacular.
Next time you’re in Texas you must stop by Burnt Bean Co. in Seguin Tx a bit south of Austin, IMO second best brisket to only Snows. This spot is the #4 on the Tejas monthly list. TexMex BBQ, great pork ribs, amazing turkey and sausage. The smoked barbacoa can not be topped (Sundays only). Get there at least an hour before for the wait.
Great review. Your honesty is greatly appreciated. Interstellar is a great place who are willing to try new things in bbq. We had their pulled duck a couple years ago at ACL and it was amazing.
Insterstellar is amazing, i also love their mac & cheese but next time give the smoked scalloped potatoes a try as well, they're also incredible! The comments recommending burnt bean are exactly right, it's another top notch spot in the same class as interstellar. Both deserve to be ranked in the top 5 in the state for sure.
Yowza! What a great looking plate! Can't wait to bring you down some of my Jalapeno Sausage. Such a cool place, I enjoy trying the "off the beaten path" joints. You live a good life my friend!
Marty B’s just north of Dallas is amazing! Lewis BBQ in Charleston, SC has the most smoke flavor in a brisket that I have tasted. John Lewis helped Franklin get started IIRC
Thanks for the 2 hour line warning. I don’t care how good Interstellar BBQ is, I’ll go down the street to one of the many great BBQ establishments and will have eaten and digested most of meal before you even sit down to order!
Went to both over the 4th of July weekend. Overall Interstellar is better than Franklin. Franklin still has the best brisket but Interstellar is better in every other regard. Barb's B Q was even better than Interstellar.
@@1202jazzman I disagree. It's the total experience that makes me want to go back to a certain place. There are plenty of great BBQ joints in Austin. If the slides are not great and other BBQ joints have great meats and sides, I'd go there instead.
Never use the title best bbq...totally subjective. Who the heck doesn't like Fritos?? Makes me question a lot about your reviews lol. Kidding..kind of.
Personally I think its way overrated and definitely way overpriced. Its good but its nowhere near the best even in Austin let alone the state. But everyone has different tastes and lots of people have never eaten at the real top places and only can compare it to Rudy's or BBQ like that, then it would seem like the best!
Have you been to Interstellar BBQ? What was your opinion? What are some other places I should check out the next time I go to Texas? Let me know!!
Interstellar is fantastic. Check out burnt bean co. Next time
@@wellsstationbbq1267 Good to know! Thanks!
Barb's B Q has a real chance at taking the #1 spot next time.

Good to know. I'll add it to my list!!
That sausage looks awesome. They used big chunks of cheddar so you can really taste the cheese.
Great review Josh. It makes me want to visit the location.

Thanks for the tips! Burnt bean is now on my list!
Cool. Have to try them.

Dude hurry up and bring me some!!
I live right down the block. The lamb is amazing.

Ill add Marty's to my list. I'm definitely going to Lewis next time I'm in SC!
I live across the street and it’s now a Michelin star

Do you have any reccomendations that I can try on my next trip?
Stop into my friend's place...Blom Guitars and say hi. He's in Franklin. Builds stunning guitars, smokes meat and cigars...digs bourbon.
“Rib crib” is ok if your on a budget
Good on you. I would never wait in line like that. No bbq worth that. Interesting to watch your video about it though. I’m just not a line person lol!
I get that!

Best beans in TX!
Weird to see a comment about sides when discussing BBQ. It's all about the meat. Sides just waste stomach space.

Nashville lol idk
What?
Screen down town nothing but callies
Went there once, won't be back. It's not even Top 20 BBQ in Central TX...
Can you send me some of your favs so I can add them to my list to try?
Stiles Switch is better
Mac & cheese not that good. Best Mac & cheese is at T22 Burnet rd. Peach tea burnt emds did suck. way too expensive. Long wait

No Blacks?
Been there in Dallas and loved it. Next time!
Blacks isn't anything special. None of the places in Lockhart are anymore other than Barbs.
Way too Expensive.

Rudy's is the worst bbq in texas so stay away
The original Rudy’s is very good.
Bro is from CT and thinks he knows BBQ 😂
My left nut needs to be sucked. You interested?
