I always love how polite and sweet you are...particularly when you are dealing with elderly people. You have a level of respect for their stories and attachment to what they are having to sell. So nice to see. ❤
I love the older people, they always have the greatest stories for every item🥰 Love that you also save the cassettes, hate to think about the music that makes it to the landfill. 🥰That Globe is AMAZING!
It’s really heartwarming when you get a memory with some of the items. You can tell with the telling that it meant something to the person at that certain time in their life. The closer the item, the more person the memory. I’d consider it a bonus that goes with what you do.
feel like crying watching this - is this what life is all about.. work for years to see your valuable get sold for a dollar.. this is like visiting a real life Museum and is so sad in some parts when one person talks about her late husbands favorite stuff..
My kids have said they don't care anything about money, they're just going to call in something like "GOT JUNK" and have them haul all my stuff away. I'd rather sell it to someone so it has a chance to stay out of the landfill and potentially go to someone who will enjoy it as much as I. That's why I'm selling a lot of my stuff on ebay right now, so the kids don't have as much to deal with, I have a neater house, and others can enjoy my things.
I never thought I’d sit and watch someone garage sale, but I’m hooked! Lol I just happened upon your channel and truly enjoy watching. You are respectful and kind to people which is most pleasant to watch. As I said in a previous post, you’re a good human!
I love it too but get annoyed if it becomes a reason why they won't haggle. I once wanted a chest of drawers marked $20 (in the 80's) and the people said it was their kids, had a lot of memories and couldn't go down any... Burns my biscuits😳
I can't believe you bought a KATO Train Set for under $40. In Japan, there are shops that would sell those book style cases of N scale train sets. And you could rent out track time to run your train on their dioramas.
my grandfather loves trains!! that man knew the worth of them but in his opinion he knows nobody would come by & spend the price on trains but still he’s awesome for such a steal price! that’s awesome you were able to catch that
The leather post cards were pierced to sew them all together to eventually make a quilt. Research that picture ID Badge carefully some can bring big $$$ on eBay for auction. The carnival was a steal.
that Kato set was an epic find and a half. The Nicholson File company make/sell some of the best bastard files/rasps for metal working and wood-working you can get, the older ones from prior to year 2000 last for years.
Kind of seemed like senior citizen-hosted yard sale day. But it was great - they had neat and different items. And I love when they care so much for their possessions, tell you the story, and are pleased when you purchase them. I wouldn't have bought it but wasn't that parrot picture pretty? My faves - the leather postcards!!! and neat skate board (so tropical). Another good one Anthoney!
Awesome on the box of trains! Any Kadee in there? They did mostly N gauge, and I did a lot of assembly and painting for them back in the late '70's and early '80's before, during and a bit after college. It was fun to play with all those little trains!
I recently came across your channel, and I have to say that you have one of the best picker/garage sale channels on you tube, both you and your family are so nice and I love how polite you are and that you always take the time to listen and talk to people. Keep up the outstanding work Anthony!! P.s, Can you do some more videos of your antique store please as I like seeing how you are getting on.
Very cute intro Elliot is super awesome and love it.. 💕 Nice haul today Anthony.. Those yard/garage sales have been very good to you.. Love the Fenton and Indiana Carnival glass the iridescent is just beautiful.. Also fantastic Train lot's they're very desirable the N scale is very nice to find.. You don't see them at garage sales too often if ever.. Well done.. Stay safe all..👍💕🔥⚾😷
Look at the Crazy Lamp lady. She sells glass all the time. The Fenton bowl probably could sell for 30 to 50 depending on your following. Carnival glass maybe 25. Amazing finds.
Ooh the clear light blue glass serving tray...are usually a real collectables. The fruit bowl I bought in New Hamphire at an antiques dealer had a pineapple motif.. I learned later about the prices and their values. Anyhow, fun watching!
you popped up in my YT algorithim a few days back and i have now watched just about every video you've posted. Im hooked! Seems like garage sale season is coming to an end already, but looking forward to some winter content!
Why I love Indiana. People are just so nice. Doesn't have to be deep, but just human appreciation. It's kinda gone downhill since covid I feel. Have you seen this at yardsales?
2:11 Did anyone else say "pick up the Brownie Guide Pin"? Also have you sold the carnival glass and Fenton glass already? Yes they are collectable to people like me, and would like to know what you would be asking? You hit the jackpot with those trains. Thank goodness my hubby no longer has he N scale train layout. There might be a N Scale train club in your area where you could sell them to or at least advertise with them. cheers
No gamble on that train set. I heard the cash register when you opened up that box! He said they're was engines in the bottom of the box. You were in the gravy without seeing the rolling stock. Nice haul.
Fenton is a rose bowl should fetch decent money, it’s very pretty and since it’s a uranium custard glass and it glows it will fetch more than a regular Fenton Rose Bowl, and that piece of carnival glass should be worth a nice sum because it is not one of the newer ones made in the 60s and beyond it’s earlier than that, it has a nice pattern and really nice iridescence. I’m sure when you look up comps on eBay you’ll be pleased. Since glassware is hot right now it’s definitely the right time to be flipping it :-)
Former Hoosier here, now living in Dixie. Just a heads up, if you can ever get out to Amish Country on a Friday morning (especially around Berne) the garage sales are out of this world. Amish clothing, vintage hats, handmade amish items, old quilts, rustic tools - it's literally insane what you can get for next to nothing. Your videos are nostalgic. Hope to move back to Indiana eventually.
They are peoples memories that will go on to be memories for other people rather than end up in the dump people who go to sales are saving the old stuff for the younger generation to enjoy weather they know it or not they are sort of historians 😁😎✌️
That train hall was an awesome hall I knew it as soon as I saw that one said in the box. I was yelling to you to grab it I’m glad you did that box is going to make you a lot of money👍
I don't know about anyone else but I love hearing the story's behind each object that is being sold from the elderly but then it hurts me to pay so little for something they had so long and loved so I always end up giving a bit more than what they were asking . Because I feel that the storyline behind it that they tell is worth a price as well .
Kato train...pretty cool. Didn't know much about them before period but got an Amtrak California Zephyr , with a side set of extra cars. Peak huz are spared because my daughters and I took the California Zephyr from Chicago to California multiple times. And Cato makes a beautiful replica Of that train
You do so great on these yard sales! Awesome! My Dad loves those N scale trains. I’ve been looking for a score just like this for months. I would buy the whole box if you want to do a quick flip. Give me a fair price
We started with trains. We didn't know anything about trains and now I'm almost an expert. First thing we Sold was a $18 G scale watertower. We Sold it for $85
Hey Froggy ! Hello from the UK! Love watching this US yard sale stuff! We dont have this in the UK as far as i know! Certainly not where i live in Cornwall! It’s entertaining! We do have Charity Shops where you can pick up loads of bargains for a few quid( your bucks) We have car boot sales too which are real fun! Good luck ! Love the fact you take Elliot with you! Great fun! All the best!!👍👍😎
Not just you. For Pete’s sake, I started feeling like so many of these people just wanted to... talk/share/connect? It can’t just be the edit. Surely he had a day with a greater frequency of story tellers than usual.
@I. M. Yes. However I might also use that same language about a person who no longer collects. Likely he has passed, of course, but we didn’t have 100% confirmation. I would have asked as well, but wouldn’t suggest that everyone should. Froggy had about all he could manage with so many “storytellers” on top of trying to do his job 😂🤣. Couldn’t help but feel for him a little! ...but each of those people were wonderful. I really liked this video.
He asked you if you like cassettes. That’s a cassette travel case my dad had a double sided one with cassette’s on either side, which it looks like that one is as well.
Its good to hear some stories behind an item. Some folks dont just look for beauty also the story.🙂 interestong finds especially the box of train stuffs.
Fenton bowl..$30 ish. The base color on your carnival glass was blue more likely cobalt... which could probably bring you around $60 to the right person
The Fenton custard bowl can go for good money. Carnival glass is not as desirable anymore unless there is an unusual pattern and a heavy iridescence but you will definitely get your money back on it. Fenton was a good score
Nice score on the n scale.Trains decades or definitely top of the line Concord.OK, lifelike it's alright, the double header. It's kinda rare, but you should be able to definitely.Maybe triple your money or not if not quadruple
Amazing things are still too be had. I had surely the best weekend of my yard sale finds. Not an expert on vintage chainsaws by any means just know that older ones have the potential to be worth a few bucks. Picked one up pulled the cord n it was stuck kinda bummed me out if it wasn't stuck I would have gladly paid the $20 he wanted for it. When I set it down he sweetened the deal with 3 additional newer quality saws that were not seized but didn't exactly fire right up all four for $20 figure I couldn't lose. And I hit a jackpot as that particular model Stihl saw was not super old it is however super rare and non running display models go for $500 they run $800+
The elderly gentleman who had the trains reminded me of my grandfather. So sweet! Great finds!!
I always love how polite and sweet you are...particularly when you are dealing with elderly people. You have a level of respect for their stories and attachment to what they are having to sell. So nice to see. ❤
Thank you for being so respectful to the sellers and their things. So nice to see! 😀
I love the older people, they always have the greatest stories for every item🥰
Love that you also save the cassettes, hate to think about the music that makes it to the landfill.
🥰That Globe is AMAZING!
We love watching your videos, you don’t try to take advantage of anybody!! Thanks Randy
Thank you for your kind words! He really is such a wonderful person and when someone really notices it means so much to us! ❤️
Absolutely agree with you. One of the reasons I love watching him
Totally would have bought that parrot painting! That thing was awesome!!!
I wa sthinking the same lol
Yes i agree liked parrot painting
Reminds me of spongebob
It’s really heartwarming when you get a memory with some of the items. You can tell with the telling that it meant something to the person at that certain time in their life. The closer the item, the more person the memory. I’d consider it a bonus that goes with what you do.
That’s the BEST part of what I do!
I love it when the sellers tell you some of the background on pieces!!
feel like crying watching this - is this what life is all about.. work for years to see your valuable get sold for a dollar.. this is like visiting a real life Museum and is so sad in some parts when one person talks about her late husbands favorite stuff..
I feel you. I used to watch storage unit auctions and I had to stop.
Definitely more to life than possessions
Yes, sad in a way, but better than being in the landfill. At least these things get another chance to be loved. 👍😀
My kids have said they don't care anything about money, they're just going to call in something like "GOT JUNK" and have them haul all my stuff away. I love how you take time to listen to the people selling.
I feel like you get better deals when you bring the kiddos
Sometimes it seems like it!
My mom and grandma would take me to garage sales when I was little for this reason 💀
Love how people tell the history behind every object. Regards from Mexico.
I love it too but get annoyed if it becomes a reason why they won't haggle. I once wanted a chest of drawers marked $20 (in the 80's) and the people said it was their kids, had a lot of memories and couldn't go down any... Burns my biscuits😳
M exico lmaoo your whole country is a joke !!!!!
That can be helpful sometimes when it comes to writing out an eBay description.
That carnival glass dish is amazing!. I believe the heavy iridescent coating in more desirable. It's a beautiful piece I'd be happy to have.
Tell Elliott his new intro for you rocks! Great score on the train goodies.
Thanks so much!
I love the fact, the ppl selling you things, always have a story behind the item. X
you had me at Elliot saying Intro God love that little man!
He’s the best!
I can't believe you bought a KATO Train Set for under $40. In Japan, there are shops that would sell those book style cases of N scale train sets. And you could rent out track time to run your train on their dioramas.
That man was so sweet, wanting to share with you about the trains and paperweight!
He was very nice!
I like when people tell their stories behind the things they’re selling.
I have gone to gobs of garage sales and never stumbled on a box of model trains like that, amazing!
my grandfather loves trains!! that man knew the worth of them but in his opinion he knows nobody would come by & spend the price on trains but still he’s awesome for such a steal price! that’s awesome you were able to catch that
What wonderful people to buy from. I enjoyed hearing the back story of the items!
The leather post cards were pierced to sew them all together to eventually make a quilt. Research that picture ID Badge carefully some can bring big $$$ on eBay for auction. The carnival was a steal.
I like that old guy! You can tell when he was younger he had a job as a man in charge!

The glass is gorgeous. I'm a vintage glassware collector. The custard glass piece is beautiful. I love uv reactive glassware the most.
My Son bought a hoarder house to flip last year! Found a china cabinet full of uranium glass pieces. Gorgeous with the UV light!

The blue and white Ford pickup at the sale with the bleacher seats was amazing! 🤩
Gotta love yard sales put on by the retired folks!!

Oh I love that little vase on the 3rd yard sale, next to the pocket watch.

Some great buys. It was great how you took time to let the older gent talk to you.

That train hall was an awesome hall I knew it as soon as I saw that one said in the box. I was yelling to you to grab it I’m glad you did that box is going to make you a lot of money👍
Not bad at all! The Kato set already sold for $189 plus shipping!
Another awesome find on the trains. The John Deere pocket watch was also a nugget. As of now it's listed on Amazon for 149.00. Good picking Hawkeye.
I love hearing stories from the older folks…👍💕
Wowsa!! That train box is a good example of how hood things happen to good people. Congratulations!!
Nice train pieces. Nice necklaces. Nice video all around. Some nice deals.
I know this was 2 years ago but…. I cringed when I saw that vest on the floor… I’ve had mine 3 years and it’s never touched the ground

The parrot picture! Loved it!
The Nicholson File Co. pin looks similar to an employee I.D. pin my grandfather had.
Love your videos. Had to laugh at that box game called " Fact or Crap "

Glassware is beautiful, depending on your customer base you should get a decent price. More for the fenton piece.
I paid 35,on a Fenton lilly of the valley six mos ago,,the yellow one is fenton vaseline glass,I think
The Vaseline Glass Bowl is gorgeous. I'll bet you that sucker glows under a blacklight!!
It does!
I love when people take the time to talk about how they got the item, or it's history
Wow you found an old employee badge. Usually they are from the WWII era. I usually buy them for about $40.

Nice. Nicholson File was in Anderson on Columbus Ave.
The pin with the photo is a I.D. badge. I have my dad's I.D. badge when he worked in a factory in the 40's.
