I'm 45 minutes from the Charlton and Deerfield locations, and these days I find myself going for their clear beers and more traditional styles over their hazy offerings. I think my palate was fatigued after drinking so much haze for so long, even solid ones like this have an offputting aftertaste from the yeast.
I agree 100%. I’m close as well. And I’ve been primarily drinking the lagers and other classic styles. It’s amazing how TH will nail everything perfectly!
2 years after my haze fatigue hit. im back to my roots. West Coast IPA from thhe West Coast. Modern/New school WC IPA is wwhere its at now. So many breweries dishing out amazing shit. Team Clear Beer unless i want some sugary dessert (aka a hazy)
A lot of ppl like to talk about how treehouse is no where near what they use to be, which is likely just a result of “chasing that first high”. Or moving in to the next near thing. However, I have found their beers to always be very good when I get to have them, especially relatively to a lot of other breweries and their offerings. It’s also impressive, to me at least, that they have been able to ramp up their production to the point where if you go on any given day, you can likely walk away with a case of Julius. A beer like Julius, are some batches better than others, yeah, but more times than not it’s better than most other IPAs you can get.
I live 35 minutes from their Cape Cod location. I love tree house and reload every few months or so, but I will say the consistency is their issue. Over the summer I somehow ended up with 3 different batches of Julius that were released back to back to back and they all tasted pretty different. Sometimes they taste like old school tree house sometimes it’s falls flat. It’s a roll of the dice.
I recently had a King Julius - my first Tree House. It was a gift to my son. We thought it lived up to reputation. I am mainly an Other Half guy - since I live in NY state
Hey Darwin! I just trekked up to Treehouse for the first time last week to grab a bunch of julius (and various others) for my wedding this weekend - also first time I've ever had Treehouse. Happy to hear that I grabbed a good batch :) (well hopefully - mine was canned this month) Always trust your reviews - thanks for doing what you do!

Guess it's good that they're expanding to that at Tree House too.

Yeah, I'm really happy how good this can/batch turned out.

Really?! That's no good! I hate to hear that about them.
