I love what you are doing here. Just curious, but what is your primary focus for needing to recall these notes? Is your setup done with future academics writing in mind, or is it for future sermons/bible studies, or just simply misc. personal use?

Thanks, Andrew! Your video just popped up on my feed on RUclips. Which is exactly what I needed because I am going to be writing a book using Antinet. My resources will be the Bible, more specifically the New Testament, works by CS Lewis, and other theologians.
I think your method will work much better for me than Scott’s numbering system of academic disciplines, as I will be more focused on my project.

I love this! I had a thought to start a ZK for my Biblical studies primarily and other topics of interest and was unsure how to start. Thanks for sharing!!

You need one more section called
"Mythological influences" so you understand where these stories originated from.. for example the story of Samson is taken from the Greek Hercules and in some places follows the narrative note for note..
-The creation account in Genesis is without a doubt a polemic of the creation account in the mesopotamian "enuma elish"
-lot and the 2 angels is taken from
Philemon and Baucis.. instead of 2 angels looking for something good in Sodom we instead have 2 gods Zeus and Hermas come to earth in disguise and the only people to show them any hospitality is
Philemon and Baucis. The two gods reveal themselves and decide to destroy the city but they save Philemon and Baucis telling them to leave and not look back..
    - there's the obvious flood myths which textual criticism proves were based on sumerian/akkadian/babyloian myths and that's just the tip of the iceberg .. thanks to the discovery of the ugaritic texts we can see where the Psalms originated from and on and on.. if you're not studying where the Bible came from then you really should start.. the very last thing you should ever do is take scripture literally myths are allegory....
P.S. I saw you working on the book of Esther and there are many scholars papers written showing how Esther is a retelling of the babyloian myth of ishtar and marduk. Ishtar becomes Esther and marduk becomes mordecai ..

@@4everseekingwisdom690 Or could it be that all the other myths are garbled versions of the one true myth? If there are multiple versions of the same story wouldn’t that tell us that these things actually happened? Maybe these stories actually originated from reality, and all the myths are trying to explain what happened. Why does it matter then if the Bible may have been composed later? The Bible is telling the one true “myth”. It is revealing the truth about these mysteries.
If you’re not willing to repent and believe the gospel, you’ll look for every excuse to say it’s not true.

@AndrewWittenburg the "looking for any excuse to say things are true" is actually a very apt definition of apologetics. As for multiple accounts of something as an attestation of truth, there's also an equally valid if not more plausible explanation that is much more in tune with the ancient world.. that they taught sacred truth using highly complex symbolic allegory that we call mythology. ...plutarch said in "isis and Osiris"
Therefore, Clea, whenever you hear the traditional tales which the Egyptians tell about the gods, their wanderings, dismemberments, and many experiences of this sort, you must remember what has been already said, and you must not think that any of these tales actually happened in the manner in which they are related
      Demetrius said
"Mysteries are expressed in allegories, for the purpose of inciting confusion of mind and terror," sacred truth is not for the profane and thus was hidden.. if in your conception that multiple attestations indicates truth then there must be an underworld.. not "hell" that's a much more modern concept I'm talking about hades and the two are NOT the same.. Luke 16:19, Mathew 11:23 acts 2:27 and others use the word "hades" especially ephesians 4:9 which describes Jesus journey into hades.. the underworld .. this must be true because all over the world in civilizations that supposedly never had contact we have underworld mythology. In Greece we have Orpheus and persephone, in sumeria we have innana, in mesoamerica we have the Aztec hero twins, in China it's sun wukong, in Egypt it's Osiris and they all describe the main character descending into and escaping from the underworld.. by your hypothesis there must be an underworld...or , they're all allegorical for the same thing.. you're correct there is absolutely "one great truth" but it's not the the gospels it's called the "prisca theologia" and it's what these allegorical myths are concealing.. have you ever heard the PaRDeS method of exegesis? It's used by the most learned rabbi and describes 4 levels of depth to scripture and the one with the least amount of value is the literal meaning of scripture. The truth you're seeking will never be in plain sight it's always hidden..

I am taking psychology classes now. Good to see how you take notes using your ZK. Do you take all your class notes there, or do you have notebooks for class as well?

Personally, I take all my notes on these note cards. I’ve found that less can be more when it comes to class notes. I tend to keep my notes focused towards the final written assignment, and also what I might want to write about in the future. Then in class I write down ideas from the lecture that I might use in short form on a bib card. In class I’m also creating some main cards if I want to expand on the idea right then and there or reproduce a visual/diagram. Then after class I review my bib card and see if I want to create any more main notes or expand on the main notes I’ve already written. I’ve found that doing it this way helps with staying engaged in class, rather than having your face towards a notebook the whole time. And then as I take notes as I’m doing assigned readings I just follow the standard bib card approach with reading books-prioritizing notes that will be helpful for the final written assignment and my future writing. Hope that helps!
