"Why were you watching someone on the toilet"
I have a better question. Why is someone using a computer on the toilet
Smart phones. I imagine some people bring their phone and earphones into the toilet
taking your laptop to the bathroom when you're having to take a big big shit is not that bad.
Maybe someone converted a toilet into an office chair I mean I did that once and gave it to my cousin as a gag gift
***** A windows 98 smartphone?
Emulate 98 on a modern phone it would probably be fun.
Thank you for this! Been watching your stuff for several days now and completely forgot about Chip's Challenge. I am off to play this gem now. I haven't played it since I was 4 or 5.
My goodness the memories. Chip's Challenge was my absolute favorite.
Dude Rodents Revenge was one of my favorites as a kid! Forgot about it, nice nostalgia trip as usual sir.
Yep, some of these games were the best part of my day when I got to play them as a kid. Jezzball was my favourite, but Jezzball and Chip's Challenge were also up there. Ski Free was good too.
I love it because instead of reviewing and only telling you the pros and cons he actually adds lively humor and dosent give that Robotic commentator feel.
i love that due to removed accounts - it looks like someone is talking to himself.
love the channel btw and rewatch stuff all the time
Rodent's Revenge was my favorite too, I remember that and SkiFree the most.
I played Chip's Challenge, Rodent's Revenge, Jezzball, and Pipe Dream. And probably Tetris too. My aunt and uncle had a computer at the time and I played these constantly, along with King's Quest VI and Police Quest 1-4 combo disc. Friggin love these goofy games. ^_^
My old Gateway Windows 98 came with a set of game discs. Included were; The Neverhood, Close Combat: A Bridge Too Far, either Flight Simulator '95 or '98, and (I believe) Age of Empires along with others' I can't remember (this was almost 20 years ago for me). Those games that the Gateway Windows 98 came with at that time practically made up my PC Gaming childhood starting from when I was like 4-5 years old.
All the titles I didn't forget were made by Microsoft Studio and came packed with the Gateway Windows 98. I don't know why, but I guess "Microsoft Entertainment Pack" reminded me of the set of games/discs that came with the first Windows PC I really got to use. Could you possibly do a video if you ever come across any of these OEM PC software/game disc sets, or just any of the games/series' I mentioned above?
98 was almost 20 years ago for everybody man... lol
"Nostalgiagasm" my word of the day
Fun fact about Freecell, it was also bundled with Win32s for Windows 3.1 which I imagine came with a few programs here and there. Westwood's Monopoly comes with the WinG API and the Win32s runtime, both of which you could install after installing the game. And the Win32s came with Freecell.
Rodent's revenge! I had completely forgotten about that game! I used to play that all the time when I was a kid! I also remember my mom being obsessed with Chips Challenge, she even had a notebook with guides on how to beat every puzzle.
Pipe Dream and Chips Challenge, now THAT takes me back
The first screen whit all the games was just FUCKING AWESOME man. So many memorys coming back. Love all your videos keep up the good work.
SkiFree was one of my all time favorite childhood games. That abominable snow yeti, I was hoping you said something about him. ^-^
I used to love jezz ball. I had totally forgot what it was called. Now I can play it again. Thank you phreakindee!
Where is FUJI golf???
It wasn't considered in the best of Microsoft. Its in one of the individual packages.
OH FUCK. I forgot entirely about Rodent's Revenge! Oh my God, I can't even tell you how many countless hours I sat at the family computer as a child and played this game...
It was a simpler time, before I'd learned about Jazz Jackrabbit, Ultima Underworld, and Dungeon Keeper... and back then, Rodent's Revenge and Chip's Challenge were all I needed....
I remember uni computers had the games taken off the start menu and applications folder but you could access them if you went to Run… and knew the path! ❤❤❤
There's a guy called J. B. Lewis on RUclips who's done very comprehensive Let's Plays of Chip's Challenge. I honestly didn't know it was this old.
I nostalgia-gasm'd when I saw that photo of a Packard Bell! My first PC!
I have forgot about most of this games I spent so much time as a kid playing all this games :D
YES YES YES!. Man I loved Rodents Revenge and Skifree. Windows 95 changed my life.
Also the puzzle pack was were it was at. Game was deadass fire.
true. gotta love the win3.1 era. I loved that OS
YESSSS!! Chips Challenge!!! Played it all the time
OH SHIT! CHIP'S CHALLENGE!
My childhood just came back to me. :P
I remember playing this once in a while back when I was a kid.
Wow I never knew SkiFree was part of the Entertainment Pack. In my experience someone just always had the skifree.exe on a floppy and would give it to people. That's how I got my copy. Somebody at work gave it to me. Never knew you could get away from the snow monster.
I'm 15 and I remember all of these because we never could really afford new computers
Did you grow up in a Microsoft family? I did. I got all the PC games for like$10 or $15 each when they were released. I remember classics like Dark Tide (As you reviewed), Close Combat (one to three), Fury3, Hellbender, Gex, Age of Empires, NBA Full Court Press, Outlwars, Urban Assualt...
Not sure how many people know this but that Packard bell legend in the beginning had usb ports on the motherboard that were blocked from access. I took one apart maybe 15 years ago to save some files for a family friend and thought that was an odd feature.
That monster snowman use to give me nightmares.
Chips challenge was the best
Damn it there's nostalgia everywhere
i cant remember which of the packs I played on my dads win 95 computer, but it had
games not on this list,
rattler race, Fuji golf, (which was an actual golf game) jigsawed
and another one which had the red/blue of jezzball but no balls ,
you put in a blue, took out a red square till the red inevitably won
such good times
free cell windows 7 I had a losing game before and great video
Wow now I can play ski free on windows 10 for downloading something WOAH TECHNOLOGY
You should review the Gameboy Color version of this!
Which game in the pack?
OMG THIS PACK WAS MY CHILDHOOD!!!! YAAAY!!!
“if you had a PC or used a PC with Windows 3.1 or Windows 95”
I’m in the wrong place, aren’t I?
there is a game that is similar called flood where you do the same but the sewer goop is replace with water and the pipes are replace with trenches.
what about the puzzle collection... man that was amazing, rat poker was my favorite game
Chips Challenge I love it! BEST CLASSIC EVER!
Hey Clint, did ya see that SkiFree's been re-released? :D now you can get it on windows 8 (and possibly as a browser game but i'm too lazy to look) Hopefully you can mention it in an upcoming video c: Thanks for reading!
u know what? that packard bell 1:06 was my bros first computer, and im still using that packard bell keyboard ! no joke, its like 20 years old and a lil bit rusty on the backside but it works fine
Wow remember them all Lazy Game Reviews I also nostalgia-gasmem everywhere
hey lgr, if you see this, just wondering if you ever played 'microsoft - the puzzle collection' that was around windows 98/2000 days. it had simular games such as jewel chase, rat poker and color collision.
These old LGR videos are awesome
I wonder if any of these games still exist on Windows 10, that Jezzball one actually sounds like it could be fun.
As far I'm aware of, no, windowns 10 dont come with any games...
But we got cortana... *yay!
* = sarcasm
T.D.C. RED SEMEN It's sad when operating systems can't even give you something as basic as solitaire anymore.
John Smith We trully live on a world of terror.
There are plenty of JezzBall clones available in the MS Store. Not exactly the same, but pretty close.
do all of the microsoft entertainment packs, all in one video
I see you maybe referenced my PM by mentioning you'd get back to it some day.
Probably not but maybe you did.
What about Windows Encarta 97, phreakindee? It was pretty awesome for its time, would love to see you review it.
Ahhh that was nostalgic.
That abominable snow man has haunted me since child hood.
12:38
But I have to press f to pay respects
you will never take them alive, you terrible beast of a...... thing!
I didn't really play any packed in games until Windows XP.
Ah, I remember a buddy of mine had a lot of these games on his Windows 3.11 machine. I remember that ugly card-deck design in Golf. The one with the hand, and the hideous looking suit. If I remember correctly you could select that design on the deck in all the other windows card-based games too.
I nostalgia-gasmed all over myself
I forgot all about these games
Pipe Dream looks a lot like the mini hacker game in Bio-Shock.
I've got these on a floppy somewhere around here...
lol, I have Taipei on a 3.5in floppy. I still play it.
You need to do a review on the Tetris World game, it MUTATES Tetris XDXDXD A bit newer then you usually play though :(
I love this game pack!!!!
Livestream of Chip's Challenge?
I'm so glad I found your channel!
Yay, I'm glad too!
+Lazy Game Reviews You have problems to find your channel? :)
i have problems finding mine...im also a cat sooo
one of us! one of us! one of us!
When I was in 5th grade, my teacher had a copy of BOWEP on a floppy disk and let us take it home so we could play chips challenge. By the time it got to me, it had a virus on it.
bukanbangkit no one could have said it any better...
J Allen FeelsBadMan
Bummer.
So it got shared around the school, and had a virus when it was your turn with it? So, that floppy was basically the class slut, then?
@@CyberLink70 Wrong. Kids and virii go together.
the nostalgia-gasm hitting the nail on the head. 1995. Packard bell. entertainment packs. shareware. skifree. this is my favorite LGR video.
Uhm, I know it's kinda late, but I think you messed up
Emkill what
CDs with a weird collection of free- and shareware - hours of fun just discovering what is on there.
#PackardBell
Dude you're not the only one who had a packerbell remember that simple kid interface lol.
What was it called was a virtual home
I remember Jezzball. My co-worker and I used to play that on our computers at work until the boss saw what was going on and uninstalled all the games on all the computers.
We never liked him even before that incident.
I promise that I did not nostalgiagasm all over myself.
The screen, however...
I GOT THE UNSOLVABLE FREECELL GAME ONCE. I HAVE SURVIVED.
I ALSO GOT IT BUT I DID NOT SURVIVE.
You should review Microsoft 3D Movie Maker!
In Rodent's Revenge, I always saw it as the mouse condensing the yellow cat into yellow paste and just slurping up its liquefied corpse. I was a disturbed child, blame Wolfenstein 3D for having the blood drinking mechanic.
+Galahandhi > And I never even knew :o
Lol
Wait, what? You can drink downed enemies' blood in Wolf3D? O_o

If your health is low enough.
I miss the time when games were simple but infinitely entertaining. Nowadays we have all these complex, demanding games, but they're all so shallow and the replay value is minimal. :'(
ski free!! I could never escape from that f***ing monster!!!!
I just had minesweeper. Also, no PCs in the bathroom.
I remember watching stevethemeave45's video of these games being played on Windows XP back in 2010. They are really cool! Nice job!
Protip: press F to outrun the yeti in SkiFree. (Really. There's a second yeti that you can't outrun though.)
Rodent's Revenge was my first anxiety rush
I nostalgiagasmed.
I refer to Tripeaks as Triple Panty Action, but to each their own.
it was my family's ambition to try and finish chips challenge. also, does anyone else associate a particular smell with old experiences, like when I saw him playing the cat and mouse game, I could actually smell something, which really brought back the memory
I love Rodent's Revenge and BEAST from DOS...my body wasn't ready
3:40 CANYON.MID, OMFG!!!
You should consider the Kid Pix series as well!! :D
I used to use that program back in the second and third grade!
KID PIX, KID PIX! COME ON AND PLAY WITH KID PIX!!!!!!!
Sorry... It's ingrained into the deepest parts of my brain at this point. (It's the theme from deluxe 3 and 4.)
I remember always playing Herman and the Falling Rocks.
The death music and his disturbing clown face (and the bloody cracked open skull when you lost) gave me nightmares.
EDIT: Googled to find out you actually reviewed FROCKS.EXE. omfg.
YEP

Ok
"That really really sucks, I'm sorry that you're dead."
ROFL
Oh god i do remember those games.
Chip's Challenge was absolutely awesome. Sadly it doesn't seem to work on Win7.
Trifon Trifonov my sister was amazing at that game when we were growing up. Was so jealous haha.
classicreload.com/win3x-windows-chips-challenge.html I got you, fam
You can emulate the whole Windows 3.11 in special DosBox bundle together with MEP1-4 installed on it. Voila!
I believe you can launch it:
1) via VM emulation, like VirtualBox, of a Windows 95 machine.
2) on a 32-bit Windows XP machine.
A Better Eay To Do It Is to Use OTVDM Which Can Emulate 16-Bit Games From Windows 3.1 Which Chips Adventure Was Made For
This. I grew up with this! Those are amongst my first memorys. When my dad let me sit on his lap and showed me this magical thing called "Computer"
I definitely just had a nostalgia-gasm. Can I get a towel, please?
Chips challenge is pure childhood!
144 levels + 5 bonus ones.
16th password is SKKK, 144th is TONY. Never forget.
Yes! My mom had a Gateway 2000 when I was 3 or 4, I had the best time playing SkiFree and Chips Challenge on it. And I was obsessed with Paint. We still have my mom’s old Gateway, so maybe I’ll have to boot it up and see what’s on it from my childhood.
Back in December, she had to do a winter themed google drawing for computer class. I did a ski free one
Too bad they left out the best game: Klotski!
You got me, man. This game was too effing boring and too difficult for me when I was 5, but my Dad beat it to the end.

Ski Free!!! That shit was the bomb. That fucking yeti though.
I loved the Windows Entertainment Pack. Someone at my votech school brought in a floppy with the games on it and we all passed it around and installed them on our PCs. After I had a laptop, I copied them onto it and spent hours playing Taipei, JezzBall, Cruel Solitaire, SkiFree. Great memories. I wish MS still made these.
I had the best of pack on my Packard bell computer from back in the day.
I do have all the packs and make it run via dosbox. I made a package that is ready to go with all the entertainment packs. If you want it shoot me a message.
Can you by chance remember the name of another game in the pack? You had to navigate with a green tennis ball
had already lowered my pants when you said "Okay"
Some of these games could be made in gamemaker.
