I absolutely LOVE that it's all one piece. Call me a geek but I have dreams about fusing with stuff like this all the time when I've gone lucid. Now I learn that it's been a thing! Awesome!
Eric Price... I think I have the same toy, made by Matchbox I believe (not sure since my box has long since vanished). I was into everything Robotech back then. 80's version is sturdier but less detailed and easier to transform.
Written review will be going up on anymoon.com tonight. I'm going to wait until my Ray arrives to do a full video review so I have a little more time handling the figures... maybe get a premium finish SDF-1 review up while we wait.
Thanks for the transformation video. I'm looking forward to seeing your review as I know you to have fairly realistic expectations and a good body of experience with Mospeada product.
If this was being done in real life, a superman flying position is probably the best way to start the transformation process or have the Cyclone standing up instead of being horizontal. I think that was actually shown in the anime more often with the Rider in a standing position with the Cyclone's front wheel point up too in midair. Also for the arms, the Rider could try hugging towards the forward wheels to make it easier for the powered arms to be connected properly to the arms. Seriously you have to be trained how to be a stuntman rider to operate the Cyclone proficiently.
If this were done in real life, the whole transformation gimmick would largely be impractical. To many moving parts. If it were me, I would just make the armor then make a flight pack for it to use, from which the rotors kinda look like the bike wheels.
Now that is the toy I really wanted as a kid. Dose anyone recall what Matchbox gave us. A stupid bike sold separately from the rider, that did not convert at all.
Thank you for the review fellow Collector! I am a BIG fan of Sentinel especially the RIOBOT line.....have picked up the Mazinkaiser and the Shin Getter 1. I had this on pre-order but canceled and I am SOOOOOoooo happy I did. This looks like a MESS! Standalone rider on bike not so bad. Sentinel is very expensive yes but even they charged WAY to much for this. COME ON MAN>
@@ScorchedEarthToys I remember that it was early 2000s and I got a t shirt with a transforming green motor cycle. It might not have been this one, but the resemblance is striking.
@@runningmaiitsoh2171 Has to be a different toy, this toy came out in 2018. In 2008 there were MegaHouse and CMs Ride Armors but I don't remember them having T-shirts either though there could have been lots of promotions I missed.
49ers1975 emphatic no. Way better than Mega House. Beagle is bigger and strict interpretation of the line art with a way more complex transformation... Full review should be up next week for more comparisons
awesome can't wait to see the comparisons video. awesome that is what I thought. i had a feeling it was heck no and i watch the entire video...someone was telling me it was the same I'm like heck no, it might look similar because I mean they are taking from the same design, etc.
For some reason I remember a toy somewhat like this in Walmart when I was a kid. It was a person that rode a bike and the bike became the armor. I don’t think it was these, if anyone remembers what they’re called let me know
I think the solider cannot stand firmly. By the way, this comes from one of the three stories in the foreign version - Robotech. The original Japanese TV series is called Genesis Climber MOSPEADA (機甲創世記).
If you're imagining it in real life, the boots are solid and connect at the knee to the frame (through the hip armor) so the person isn't supporting the weight, the person is occupying the interior of the frame.
i hate tobe one of these RoboTech guys with a ton of armor on. i mean, you're screw if you ate something that didn't agree with your stomach......just imagine trying to go take a shit with these armors on.....
It's a mess during transformation, but comes together nicely and looks really great. Real issues are pieces coming off or flying off during the transformation or posing the figure. I guess it's good in one sense that it doesn't break off. I also have that loose floppy ride armor shoulder (but on the other side). The pistons connecting to the forearm armor is super tight, so I disconnect them and tuck them out of the way in ride armor for a much cleaner look and better articulated arms.

👍 I Went up to attic and found mine boxed up since mid 80s and still in decent shape!

Mine is gone, sadly. I remember it well though. One of my favorites.
@@jeffreygrimm7532 Actually made by GAKKEN in Japan...but Matchbox bought them for US sales...classic toy!!!

This was so much cooler than iron man as a kid.
For get it! I learned to program in C++ while you were working on that thing.
MOSPEADA...1 of my fav anime. Hopefully can get 1 of these baby.
Ahhhh the good old Robotech Cyclone...Mospeada VR-52....too bad I can never find the alternates...I love this one. :)

Amazing! I wonder if those guys back at 80s already thought all the transformation mechanism...
so cool definitely want this

If this was being done in real life, the creators of the Cyclone armour would be receiving the Nobel Prize in scientific engineering!
I was in suspense the whole time lol!
amazed by the engineering. it did NOT look like it was possible in reality from the anime

I had some Japanese version but came with no direction

Worst-case scenario if you kept it would have been selling it for twice what you paid for it, so maybe you're a little too happy.
It's a perfect transformation.
However, in the ride armor form, the weight of the back makes it difficult to stand upright.
Is this Scott's figure from the old Robotech tv show? Thanks
Great and informative video as always!
Cool, but where are the leg pieces?
as much as I've always loved this one, I always wondered how carrying around a motorcycle on my back improved my already armored soldier..
if it is stiff use silicone grease to losen
how can we take off the goofey wheel guard? thingy
Can it stand on its own in armor mode? Looks like its back heavy with the engine and tires at the back.
Yep! Though it's obviously a tricky balancing act. Full written review will be up on anymoon right around midnight pacific time.
Feels like the articulation is limited after the transformation.
Yes, but it looks great. So many small and moving parts.
Did this ever come with a t-shirt?
I don't think Sentinel ever provided a T-shirt but some store might have done a campaign where they included a shirt with a purchase.

Could you please do a armoured to bike mode guide?
is this basically the same as the mega house version or beagle?

chauKlet centurion and robotech
When is ray figure coming out for sale?
It was just released but it was also just Golden Week so probably will start shipping any moment now.
How many peoples skip to the final transform?
00003 Mospeada mortorbike clon😅
This is MOSPEDA right?
Affirmative, it's mentioned in the full review here: ruclips.net/video/V9fO2CMzjtQ/видео.html
I need a guide armor back to bike
Wow, so it isn't just a cartoon, when they draw they took into consideration of all the moving parts. Macross still have the best Mechas!
This wasn't a part of Macross.
ah, another confused fan of Robotech. Thanks Harmony Gold!
Do not let the tour kids touch your toys!!
Wow.. Amazing
What's the intro music
Trap Unboxing (full credits in lower right hand corner at 0:07)
Darude-sandstorm
Anyone else hate the look of the visor?
How much this kind of art?
Best thing ever I want one
I real want to buy it, who can tell me how can get it?
Big Bad Toy Store if you haven't gotten already. Also Ami-Ami and HLJ may still have them. Super late but I hope it helps.
Great work!
It makes me sad that the transformation can't be done with the rider on the bike. But,this isn't Robotech.
I think the solider cannot stand firmly. By the way, this comes from one of the three stories in the foreign version - Robotech. The original Japanese TV series is called Genesis Climber MOSPEADA (機甲創世記).
but that mean he has to carry the weight of the whole bike..

no its got hydraulics all over it
Increible!
I had that toy a long time ago, But i think it broke after transforming it too many times. Or maybe it just fell too often.
I had this toy long time ago but my little brother broke it to pieces
You must have had the Gakken 1/10 Ride Armor toy. This toy is a brand new rendition, whole new toy and even a slightly revised design.
ScorchedEarthToys yes you are right
Amazing how the japanese made a motorcycle into a superarmor.
Very cool
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Speed power gunbike anybody?
u should put jaws theme song on this....
Funny toy!
Mospeda !

Thats ir, im gonna buy the 2 riders
How much?
This is just a transformation guide, questions about 'how much' and more are covered in the review: anymoon.com/blog/?p=10794
Neat
O_O
Slow, don't worr y ya😅
😐😴😴
Jesus. What a mess.
Noisy Pink Bubble well, it’s made to cover over a figure. I guess it’s good enough that they tried to make it a perfect transformation.
