This last week has been insane.
I actually had a makeup tutorial filmed for my capsule makeup challenge, but it didn't seem appropriate to upload it. My mind is as far from makeup as it is possible to be right now, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
So I decided to do this video which is using a trick I've been using for years to help myself get re-focused. It's never let me down, and it didn't let me down this week either. If you do still want to see videos for the capsule makeup challenge, let me know :)

When you feel ready to upload it, I'd love to see it! I'm 100% sure it would brighten my day 💕

I might do a 'organise one drawer\cupboard a day' challenge to help me get some control back, love videos like this that gives me something practical to do that's not overwhelming. Also would love to see your make up vid

I live in Italy, at the core of this epidemic and I've been watching you for years and years. I remember as a young teen wanting to be an artist like you, but unfortunately I had unsupportive parents. Please, upload the make up video, it is more than appropriate to keep us distracted from this situation! I've been watching your older videos and I think I'll take this free time as an opportunity, order some art supplies from Amazon and finally try to replicate that Dragon Jar you made years ago.
Thank you for everything ❤️ 🇮🇹

This video is a new favorite. I'm an ICU nurse on a coronavirus unit and I watch your videos on repeat after a shift because your voice is so soothing and it actually helps me come down from the stress.

I keep waiting for you to say "and that's it! you're done!". 💜 Thank you for the great idea. I've shared it with like-minded friends.
Stay safe and clean. We're in voluntary quarantine here in Seattle. At least those of us who are paying attention are. 😕

I love the idea of keeping each mend to about 15 minutes. I often will use a similar coping strategy, but sometimes get in over my head by taking on projects that are too large, which just compounds the original problem. I think I’ll try to implement your version this week, as we have been instructed as of tomorrow to shelter in place where I live, so I’ll certainly have plenty of time to tackle some things on my to do list!
I hope you & your family are safe & well during this tumultuous time. ❤️

I’ve been mending my great grandmothers quilts recently, and I have also struggled with life long depression so it’s been a nice meditative practice. I may just try this challenge to inspire me to tend to other things that need mending 💚

If you find it meditative you should try embroidery. RUclips has lots of small learner videos that make it easy to learn.

I finally got around to finishing off my skirt that’s been sitting in my to sew pile. I’ve found that it’s what I’ve been doing for the past week. Sewing projects that I’ve abandoned or left, and falling in love with them again.

We've been quarantined for 2 weeks now (my daughter and had a bad flu just before the national quarantine, so we've been locked up a bit longer than our neighbours). I found the thing that helps us stay sane is putting in place and sticking to a routine. We get up in the morning and get ready, eat breakfast together and then we sing a song with the kids, look at the calendar and weather, go for a short walk outside our appartment (early so there's nobody else around), do the homeschooling homework, eat lunch, PE (RUclips yoga or tumbles on a mattress on the floor). We've found that as long as the kids are content then we are too. To not feel socially isolated we've had video-chat drinks with friends or family. It really makes a big difference.

Doing things in small sections does wonders for my mental health as well, and it keeps my anxiety at bay as much as it can, while working in the local A&E. In the past month or so I also got things done which could have waited, but now are thankfully finished. Painted the balcony, planted flowers and herbs (the herbs are growing maddeningly fast, yay!), ordered some things that were needed in the household, etc. Keep your faith and stay healthy!

Interesting. One fix a day. I can do that :). Well, I have been, more or less. But one specific thing - great!
A suggestion for your garden - look for things that will come back year after year. Things like asparagus (I believe you call it sparrow's grass there), artichokes, or whatever will come back year after year in your planting zone. It'll save you a LOT of work. Oh, and sweet potatoes! My favorite crop. You can eat the greens all summer, then the tubers all winter. Keep back a couple of the little ones to start new slips for the next year.
Best to you, Klaire. Now, to get these lotus sprouts outside where they belong :)

When you were mending the hat and I heard Self Sufficient Me, I was happy. His gardening brings me joy. Then you mentioned that your garden was coming along. I hope his videos helped. I watch them sometimes just because his voice is so soothing.
I'm trying to stay productive. One thing at a time in my kitchen. Cutlery drawer one day. Food containers the next.

Thank you so much for making videos and reminding us all to slow down, take life one step at a time ❤️ it means so much. Looking forward to your Garden video! 🌱 Wishing you a safe and positive week. Thank you.

Thank you for the challenge, and thank you for being so honest about your mental health. Sometimes depression is sneaky, draining energy and motivation over time and before I know it, I lose several days to the battle in my head. This is such a simple way to stay productive, focused, and in forward momentum. Please do more videos like this, you're an inspiration! 🤗

@@KlairedelysArt thankfully, my family and I are good, thank you. Our building is almost 100 years old and not in the best shape so we were really scared when we woke up (waking up in 4D hahaha) but everything is stable. There is damage but it's not nearly as bad as some other buildings and houses in Zagreb and its surroundings. It really feels like we're living in a film ahahaha

Interesting Klaire.... Now that you mention it, I've been wanting to fill in some holes & cracks here & there but was waiting to buy more flex seal in clear.... But for some reason totally overlooked that I've already got the white formula in the meantime & I'll go ahead & use that until I get the other. It's weird how our minds work...& Thank You for sharing these ideas! Glad you're well & all are are safe at your end💜

That's what we started to do too. We are finally home a lot, so all of the left over things are starting to ruin the mood. Instead of cleaning it all (we still have to work a lot from home), we started to have small clean breaks (15-30 minutes). :)

Id like to take the challenge. You motivated me today to clean up the yard tools scattered around my back yard. Its supposed to rain for the next week so that was actually really productive.
