Your voice is so sweet and cozy! If one doesn't listen to the words you say it almost sounds like you're telling us a magical story from your heart.. And I live your favourites videos! :D
You inspired me to right my own book, so I bought a journal and started writing ideas of the story and characters on. I love you so much and I love your songs, drawings, DIYs, and makeup tutorials.💜🎭🎨🎶📕📗📘📙📔
I have a art exam coming up and I hv to do preparatory work. I will literally make a playlist of Klaire's videos and leave it on like white noise:) her voice is amazingly calming and helps me focus on my art.
Klaire, I understand your notebook obsession so much, because I'm the same way. When I buy a notebook/journal for writing a story, I get something that looks pretty and reminds me of what I'm writing about. The reason all the notebooks I get are crazy expensive is because the quality is really good. The Paperblanks journals you got are lovely, and there are about 3-4 from the same brand that I'd love to get (along with maybe like 20 other ones for stories ☺️) anyways, I love you and all your videos and I'm going to go now, before I ramble about journals for hours. Bye 😊
Hey there! You mentioned seeing pictures in your head when you encounter certain smells and if this hasn't already been mentioned, it might be some form of Synesthetia. It sounds like a disease, yes, but it's actually this really cool thing where your brain automatically associates images, color, etc. with certain sounds, smells or experiences. For instance, every letter of the alphabet for me has an assigned color and gender (A is red and female, B is blue and male, C is orange and female, and so on). It's a pretty common thing but it's a lot of fun to play around with and see how your mind works if you're curious. I really enjoy your videos and good luck with your writing!
I've had this story in my head since I was 14 I think (I'm now 21) and because of school and stuff, I couldn't put my heart in it. The funny thing is, the name of my protagonist is Amarant :) Now that my exams are done, I'm going to start writing again! After I wrote its own bible-type-thingy and continued its own language and the map of its world is done ;) a lot of work to doooooo, aaah! :P Seriously though, I have a lot of respect for what you're doing, I like people that put so much love in their work! - Ali
I love that you always speak so passionately about your favourites! It feels very honest, and you can really tell that you love the things you mention because you're so enthusiastic! :D
Klaire, I know this comes as a kind of random request but could you maybe please, please, please make an Outsider audio book read by you? That would be SO, SO fantastic! Have been following you for years now, and you still inspire me so much! A true artist =) Much love!
I am so glad to not be the only one with a notebook obsession! I use some for my stories definitely, but I have quite a few other ones that I use for things like dreams/nightmares, or for writing down things I think I will need later. Thank you so much for sharing!! I love your creativity. It is captivating!
I love that artist 2, I hade a 2011 calendar with all the astrological signs and her paintings. She is an amazing artist, her use of colors and technique is outstanding. But I have to say that u are an amazing artist too. U can turn any face into a work of art, with jus the stroke of ur fabulous artist tools!! :) Keep up the good wok, love the videos on ur "favorite things" 2.
I love these videos because I always seem to talk to people who have mild obsessions with things because I love to hear people talk about weird little facts that they've found out through liking something. (Your also calm while talking about it so it just makes me smile)
Oh, I saw those notebooks when I was in Dublin. They are absolutely breathtaking, but incredibly expensive - I think the cheapest one was 25 euros, so I didn't end up bying any. But I absolutely adore them.
I love the look of oil paintings, but don't like to use it. I prefer acrylics, so you get the best of both worlds: you know, look like watercolour, or thick and with the right glaze it can look like oils :D
For the perfume you said is "You in a Bottle" I reccomend finding a vintage perfume bottle or one where you can dab the perfume on yourself. There's tons of lovely hand blown bottles you can find as well as those lovely coloured class bottles, I just thought it would be an interesting suggestion ~
since you like perfume, check out Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab. This company makes hand blended, very unique perfume oils. I love it so much. My personal favorite is Hemlock
OMG!! 😂 I have the same book from paperblanks! My brother bought it for me on my birthday and I was soo impressed. Because it is so beautyful and sadly a bit pricy.... In mine I m writing quotes that I love and collect from several quote-websites.
I love the Dreamscapes books too! My first one was for drawing mermaids, angels and fairies! I might consider getting the one in the video next ;3 Wait, there's an Alice in Wonderland one too?! What's the title, and can I find this in Amazon???
Have you tried using a Travalo or other perfume decanter? The sprayer on them seems to work vwry well so it could be a good option for your perfumes that have a hard time creating an even spray and go all "water pistol" on you
I have the same notebook with the clasp! Paper blanks is a beautiful brand I have a gorgeous burgundy purple one and I am just so stumped what to use it for! I feel like I want to do such a very beautiful old notebook justice, but I don't know how, any ideas what to use it for? :)
Please read! There is actually a way to avoid ever having the spine of your notebook breaking no matter what the quality! The way we open and use our notebooks and even any other kind of book is really what breaks it. Quality rarely matter! You can do a quick, simple page folding process to ever avoid the breakage. Place the book upright with the spine touching a flat surface and the open ended side of the book facing upward. In this position you first fold down the cover of the book, spine still touching the flat surface and pages still facing upward. Then take a few pages at a time and begin folding them down towards the surface going from one side and then folding a few on the other. Continue until you've folded over every page and the book is now lying open on the surface in front of you. Now you've properly prepared the book/notebook for use and the spine shouldn't break!
KlairedelysArt Klaire de Lys check out illustrator Rebecca Dautremer. Think you'd really like her work. I have a copy of her version of Alice in Wonderland (in French) that I got at the Bologna book fair in Italy. So beautiful!
Jess T I do have a book called "Renaissance Art and Architecture on Europe during the 15th and 16th Century" It covers painting, sculptures and illustrations :)

Stephanie Pui-Mun Law! Her and Linda Bergkvist really inspired me as an artist way back in the early 2000s. Her work on Elfwood was amazing.
I'd love to see what your wardrobe looks like because I love your fashion sense :) xx

I have been following you for years and it is so funny, I had no idea you loved Nina Ricci perfumes! I own most as well... They are delicious!
What perfume do you use when you are stressed? You seem like such a kind person :)
