No clue who recorded it, but I'll give them the credit if they can prove it!

Best Canadian club band of the 90s. Blew you the eff away in small, lovely little venues.
THIS is the big sugar that I remember from back in the day. Hard pressed to find a better show when these guys rolled into town.
Just so we're all clear on this: there is no one better than Big Sugar.
THIS is why I like this band. Great to see them touring again!
saw these guys numerous times in London, Ont, around this period... they would blow your head off every time without fail. Great stuff, thanks for posting!
my ears are still ringing...
man, this is so good... Saw Big Sugar live here in the Netherlands some 5 or 6 years ago. It was LOUD but they totally rocked the place.
Most under rated guitarist of all time.
Sadly I live in Texas and I don't recall them ever coming down this far.
I did once see this superbly heavy "stoner" blues band from Toronto called Sons of Otis that played in Dallas a few years ago. Check out Sons of Otis here on youtube. WAY HEAVY BLUES.
I wish their records sounded like this.
good to know.
I saw Big Sugar's last tour as well in Vancouver a few years back
ya, my ears have finally recovered from Grady show on Saturday in Toronto....great guitar player
back in the heyday off Big Surgar
wide mouth mason ......another great band
ThePoacher was refering to the fact that Big Sugar played their last show in Edmonton on New Year's Eve a few years back, and that The Trews were the openers.
But to answer your question, technically yes, The Trews very well might have been formed back in '96 under the name Trouser, to which I was introduced to them as.
Actually Gordie Johnson moved to Texas and got together with Stevie Ray Vaughns old band double trouble). They were called Grady.
I'd like to see the rest of this show!? If you could post it, would be much appreciated! Used to have this entire gig on a bus tape. An amazing show diggin a hole has a little intro of Song SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL.!
hey!!!!
I think this at Fed Hall, when wide mouth mason opened for them
Me too.. that's why I kept going to their live shows. Not to say I don't love their studio stuff.
Sweet what is the volcanoe lounge now
@corduroy41 I know this comment was from a while ago, but yea I believe The Trews were in fact formed somewhere around '96-'98. Originally they were One I'd Trouser, before becoming just Trouser and then The Trews. The obviously didn't gain a lot of attention until around 2003 when Not Ready to Go came out.
Big Sugar and The Trews are playing a show together at Harvest Jazz & Blues in Fredericton this September, so excited for it.
saw them when they were kids playing the gazeebo in Antigonish! Yes, One I'd Trouser was what they went by.
Does this mean you recorded this rostones? Either way, thanks for the transfer to make this possible. Hope you don't mind it up here.
the Trews were around in 96'?
Isn't the song from the 70's? who sang the original?
