Heard him play this live in the 90s in an acoustic set in a small, not-even-full club in Toronto called the Zydeco. Just a few feet away from me, and Gordie was so very talented. Fantastic conversation with his stand-in bassist. Treasured memory.

THIS is the big sugar that I remember from back in the day. Hard pressed to find a better show when these guys rolled into town.

I think this is probably the best live sounding studio recording of a rock band that I've ever heard. I mean, it likely is a live recording.

What an insane performance. They were on fire. Everything from the studio version and more all amped up the way a live performance should be. I can't even imagine how loud this must have been in the room, thinking back to hearing them at Lee's Palace many times. Thank you so much for posting this.
