Hi Louie. Awesome recipes, thanks Bothers
Glad you like them!
I traveled to almost every state in the USA and I’m finding out that there is basically only three states in the United States that has pizza shops that make good calzones .New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The same with cheese steaks and pizza lol. How’s Texas pizza shops. In Nj where I live now there is a pizza shop around every corner in the small town I live in there is 15 that I tried there is at least 8 more that I haven’t lol. Guys have a blessed day .
Like New York here in Texas we have a Mexican or taco stand around every corner. It’s hard to find good pizza.
I'm shocked on that
When I was 10 in '78 I found out a kid could fold boxes at his neighbors pizza place and eat all the slices I could. A couple of weeks later, something happened and I started working the front counter and the oven for slices. We made fried calzones and the best wedges ever back in my days in North Yonkers. Those were the days...
A wedge in Yonkers is just a long roll sandwich. We had our own name for a mostly common sandwich. Not sure how many calzones per year but it was high double digits. ❤
Awesome! Appreciate you sharing your story!
@@BrooklynBrothersCooking Those were days...
Boy, the way Glen Miller played.
Great episode love calzone
Thanks !
Thank you so much
Delicious 😋
Yum - yum..hv to make soon..
Thank you
Those looks delicious,, I'm going to make that dough!!

Thank you so much
You guys are killing me here! Haven't had a calzone since i i left Jersey. Now that's the way ya do it . Lotsa ricotta mozzarella and ham sauce on the side. In California, La its a freaking wasteland for calzones. Don't get me started lol ! Bravo dude's ❤❤
😂😂
Another great recipe! I am always happy to see your videos. Frequently make your pizza. Everyone loves it! How many ounces or grams should the balls be for each calzone?
Thanks! We’re happy you enjoy the pizza. 5 ounce dough balls for the calzone.
yay🎉🎉🎉
Thank you so much
Wow! These look amazing 😍 just wondering can these be fried like an empanada instead?
Thanks

Looks delicious. I grew up in New Jersey and my father used to go to the pizzeria and get us zeppole. Deep fried balls of dough thrown in a bag and covered in powdered sugar. Is there a recipe you have for these?

Do I need to refrigerate the dough if I want to use this for calzones same day?
I don’t know if a calzone would work with the stove. Here is a link to a calzone recipe.Calzone CRAZE! - How to make a Calzone

I was gonna ask that . … I made little mini ones and deep fried …. probably over cooked cause it was a bit tough , but still yummy
How did you get the cheese to look like that
It’s an attachment for the Kitchen Aid. Great for ground beef and sausage too.
Dom, can I fry these?
Yes, there is a different method to sealing them though. Here’s our fried calzone video that shows you how. Deep-Fried Calzone | The Ultimate Italian Street Food

Yes definitely
Why does no one deep fry calzone anymore? That makes the most amazing ones.
We have a video on fried calzones check it out

What is the "difference" between a Calzone and a "Stromboli" ??? Anybody answer please 🙏.
Not really much of a difference. It’s all folded dough basically but the calzone has ricotta cheese, and the Stromboli does not.
Big mistake watching the Brothers around dinner time. 😋
Leave the gun, take the cannoli, Pete Clemenza, lmao! 😭
A Classic!
If I live next-door to you guys I would weigh 800 pounds!
😂😂
Meatballs calzone
Deep frog on we got in him the best
What the hell are you talking about
