How to Make a Potholder - DIY Wavy Woven Quilted Patchwork

  • If you like the look of wavy patchwork but feel it's too much work. Try this easy method to make a fun potholder.
    Contrast fabrics are simply woven together to create a unique pebble shaped patchwork design.
    It looks like quilting without having to join all the tiny pieces together.
    You could even use this method to make small blocks for quilt as you go projects.
    The edges are finished with a binding and a handy loop on one corner.
    It’s padded with cotton batting and Insul-Bright.
    Great as a gift or sew to sell.

    I’m going to love doing this method for a throw quilt. My least favorite of quilting is cutting small pieces of fabric.

    I really like this video thank you for making & not complicating it with stitch in the ditch @ overly complicated mitred corners. Even ppl like me who can't sew a straight line can do this by using the decorative stitches on the sewing machine.💐💐💐💐💐💐

    OMG!!! Thank you. There is a Facebook ad that popped up on my feed, selling a patchwork quilted template to make this… I wasn’t sure if it was a legitimate website. Decided to do some research on the website and Finally ended up on RUclips to find your tutorial and you’re not even using a template. You just hand drawn the squiggly line. I am so glad, I trusted my instinct and searched and found your absolutely perfect video.

    This method could be done for a patchwork quilted laptop bag. Use a decorative stitch like feather in the ditch. Great idea! Thank you for this amazing technique!

    At two for 99 vents...I will buy mine. While I do and have done so for decades...I make every curtain, drapes,throw pillows for my home. Along with clothing for the grandkids,dogs and even recovered the seats for an older SUV. BUT this time is much better used elsewhere. Just for fun? Then go for it!
