the way Johnny Depp has been able to play an insanely drunk pirate, a weird chocolate factory owner, a crazy hat maker, and more exceptionally well is beyond me
These movies get so much hate, and I genuinely don't understand why. I love the visuals, and the characters are fun. They aren't my favorite, but they definitely aren't as bad as people say they are...
I just love seeing Depp, Baron, and Helena in movies together. It's like when you see the trio or duo, you know it'll be a good movie. Like marvel actors trying for other movies while still beeing w some og actors.
FUN FACT: The term "Mad Hatter" came about because of mercury being used in the manufacturing process of hats during the 1800's. Mercury was later determined to cause mood swings, irrational behavior, and even psychosis in humans. In other words, the hat makers were going crazy, thus the phrase "Mad as a hatter". The people who wore the hats were also affected. The man who killed the assassin of Abraham Lincoln, John Wilkes Booth, was a real mad hatter. His name was Boston Corbett and he was a hat maker before jointing the Union Army. He would later go insane due to many uses of mercury during the process of curing animals pelts and furs for hats.
@@hannahlynn8028 Not sure if its why Booth shot Lincoln, but it was a factor in Corbett shooting Booth. The government forces that had trapped Booth were given orders to capture him alive. Corbett shot and killed him by putting his gun through the barn wall slats, disobeying that direct order. Booth never saw Corbett, nor did he give him a chance to surrender.
I like Johnny's Mad Hatter very much. I do prefer the first movie's more dark Hatter but considering that the second movie usually shows the younger Hatter it makes sense for him to be a bit more bubbly and childlike (in addition to the different director i guess)
I actually found an answer to that riddle!!!! Two answers actually. A Raven is like a Writing desk because both gossip and are stained black. One, because ravens do actually show gossip behavior and writing desks would be used to share correspondence, often gossipy in nature. Two, a raven is black in color and a writing desk will get ink stains on it which might usually be black. How do you like those answers? (I know that technically this riddle never actually had an answer ever, I just thought this one up for myself). Also I clicked this because I’m tea obsessed and also a bit obsessed with the Alice in Wonderland aesthetic too. Currently a bit mad I’ve determined since I own over 30 different tea cup and saucer sets and over 20 tea caddies. My family even bought a hutch for me to display them in. I solely learned to cook and bake so I could host my own tea parties, either for myself alone or with friends. I have also way too many rabbit plushies ranging in design from adorable to a bit creepy looking. I have over 100 folding fans too. Only 30 of which I purchased myself and the rest are gifted. Even my paintings, I think I have about 27 now in the series, are Alice in wonderland themed. I painted those myself. I own about four different copies of the Alice in Wonderland books, two of which are leather bound. Same book, just different bindings and different pictures within. Let’s see, oh and one of my favorite games is Alice Madness Returns. I don’t wear Alice cosplay so I don’t think I’ve gone that made yet, but that I am a bit mad is probably more fact than anything. I at least move to my own beat than any one else’s. Oh right! And I own I think…6? teapots. One of which is the Alice madness returns one and another is the cast iron Japanese one. I got the Chinese style type this last Christmas. The others are those “tea for one” style types and were also gifts. I usually only buy the tea cups myself. Everyone else buys my teapots. These days I mostly use a Yeti thermos than a tea pot tough because I can worry less about cold tea. Ok I’m done now. Thanks for reading!
You are my role model now, I strive to have my own tea sets and all kinds of tea, except for lavender, too perfume-y for me, guess you could say it's not my cup of tea
@@CheerBear-w9o I have a trick for when they do that in blends actually. If your using loose leaf this is what can work. Do a first brew and toss it. Use the leaves again and the second brew will be better. This will make the lavender more balanced with the rest of the tea. I know it can go against everything in you to toss the first batch but this is my trick and it works well for me. Just don’t over brew the first batch.
