I love when you play with your white scraps and the outcome is stunning. I can't wait to play. Thank you so much, Natalie, for the inspiration as it is truly appreciated. x
Lots of great ideas to try - I just need more hours in the day! I love the idea of creating a mixed media look with the stamps and the stencils. Thank you!
I love this collection of cards, specially the colour combination you used. I'm always amazed at how the backgrounds come together and make a perfect layer to add die cuts etc too, tfs
Not only did you get a nice assortment of really pretty cards, but you got to play to create the background. That would make a nice set to give someone. Lori
Good morning Natalie. I had forgotten about this technique. I will have to look through my white scraps and have a go at this one. Thanks so much. ❤ 🇨🇦 😊
Love all of these cards and I especially love watching/learning from your process. I’ve always been a silver fan, never really liked gold much…but I love what you do with gold on your cards and you are getting me to love gold accents!! 😆
I think you have really outdone yourself this time. I especially like the mixture of 'clean' cards with the cards all covered with colour - something for every mood, occasion and recipient. The way you build up the mixed media background is like magic, the colors are beautiful and the compositions perfect. Thanks.
I loved these cards. I see that you use several different types of products, from mica sprays to acrylic paints and inks. I store my supplies by type. Maybe I should store them all by color instead. I never think of looking in my different types of paints, inks, guaches, mousses, watercolors, or waxes when doing this. I will create a product list for this type of fun so I remember to go look for different things to bring to the party. Yes, I own way more than a mere mortal has a right to LOL.
Another stellar example of cards made with your Smoosh, Stamp, Stencil and Splatter technique! Lovely color combinations. These cards are just gorgeous. Thank you!
Wonderful backgrounds, and final cards. I love the tones you created. The gold die-cuts against the visual noise is just wonderful. Super, Natalie love them!
I so love all of them, they are gorgeous 😍 I think I'm drawn to them because of colors and mixed media. I saved this one lololol!!! Thanks so much Natalie, you always hit it out of the park 🎉🎉🎉
The wider borders really set off the mixed media pieces. I have those sentiments but never thought to use them like this. I'm excited to use them again. Thanks!
Another lovely video, thank you. I don’t know why I can never see the description underneath the video, I am not technically minded so I’m probably not doing something I should, please help me Jacqui
Thanks, Jacqui! It depends on what device you're watching on. If you're on a computer, there should be a grey-ish box under the video that has some info in it. Click on "...more" and the description should appear. If you're using an app on a tablet or phone, there should be a "...more" under the video title. Tap on that. :)
How do you know right side of card? Also, you have said about keeping your brushes etc used for different ink types separate, do you have a video on ink types, as I'm not sure what type some of mine are.. if you use an ink and add water, does that then make it a water colour.. and when do yo need to use a fixative spray? Sorry, tons of questions!🙏
I mainly make 4x6 inch cards with the occassional 5x7 and 6x6 - these are standard card blank sizes and I have lots of envelopes that fit them. I just choose depending on what I feel like at the time, or what would look best with the idea I have. I have a whole series on ink pads - you can watch it here: ruclips.net/p/PLrdeSKOxOe6YN9rc5NmcDGxGnwtkpVGYA&si=_3QHqmcSY_Dk7FIt If you mix a water-based ink with water, it will behave like a watercolour. I only use fixative spray when the medium I'm using rubs off when dry. Most art mediums contain a binder, which binds them to the card/paper, so I rarely use it. Hope that helps. x
@nbcascards ah..I see thank you..I used a red ink at Christmas, it didn't give me any clues as to what it was...I stamped ink pad all over card... but it still comes off a little even now...
You can make stencils from card, acetate or proper stencil material (mylar). There's info in this video: ruclips.net/video/1pbcwKUiOfs/видео.htmlsi=6srSBawd2MGQhz-l
Hey, can you tell us again what mylar thickness your stencil is that way? I know what to look for on the Amazon of course I didn’t look on your supply list. Maybe it’s there.
These cards are absolutely gorgeous! I bought that coverplate die you show for doing your different sized dots on Amazon. Such an amazing idea for making your own enamel like dots! Thank you for sharing
I love when you play with your white scraps and the outcome is stunning. I can't wait to play. Thank you so much, Natalie, for the inspiration as it is truly appreciated. x
