Johnny Hammersticks You are so right about dirty rocks. It takes very little to make your own machine or if you can't fabricate metal yourself pay someone, use the same specs as the machine you want, paint it and put the water lines on yourself, I bet you can half the cost , all you need then is the wheels, stateside is much cheaper than the uk and if you make it wider with a slightly larger motor you can go from 80 grit through to polish in 6 stages, the biggest tip anyone can get is when using soft wheels do NOT put pressure on the belt, you will take the coating off in no time.

You are so right about dirty rocks.
Woww!! What are you using for polishing pads??
