See this is when America really started to annoy me, she is obviously falling (or has already fallen) for Maxon, she's jealous when he's with other girls, she gets giddy around him and they seem to never run out of topics to talk about besides that she seems to appreciate making out with him. He's been telling her he loves and wants to marry her for a while but she's like "oh I don't know maybe I shouldn't have told him how I feel, maybe he doesn't like me, maybe I can never love him, maybe I should go back to the guy that broke my heart and could get me killed, this sure is a difficult decision......" Like COME ON !! I thought you were supposed to be smart. If you were really still head over heels for the first guy you probably wouldn't haven fallen for the second one. Being Mad at Maxon for meeting with the other girls is also extremely hypocritical considering she is making out with Aspen in dark rooms pretty frequently.
Literally what you said about aspen vs maxon made so much sense. She only let her time with aspen get in the way, like just because you spent 2 years with him doesn’t mean you had a better relationship with him compared to maxon.
I predict the dad is working with the rebels and the thing they where looking for is the secret library. I have not read these books before and I hope I'm not right

I like how you do your overview at the end less confusing. Sometimes I turn away from my phone and only listen I get confused because when you used to cut in I didn't know if it was the story or your opinion. However I loved your read alongs.
The interaction of Maxon and May when they first met and the way Maxon told her about the the crying bet made me so happy 😂 Edit : i like her dad but she is sharing too much , I'm scared it will backfire
As someone who’s pretty hecking, but not completely, gay (Kinsey 6) YA Dystopian Fantasy Romance is a guilty pleasure of mine. Especially the bad ones, the worse the better. But despite this book series being neither amazingly written nor a total train wreck I almost genuinely enjoy it, which is totally out of character for me because I fall more into the category of snark fan than genuine fan for these type of books. And I guess that’s just the novel length version of saying Im enjoying this series (especially since as a burnt out former gifted kid I no longer have the mental energy to actually read much anymore and usually listens to audio books instead) P.S. Im also glad this series exists because I just listen to the first book on Libby, but the wait for the second book is 6 months long and I forgot to put it on hold ahead of time before I checked out the first book.
