This is definitely the track used on the album. I'd recognize that snare and kick sound over any. I don't know what set he used, I'm sure Ludwig, but not sure what model or any of that though. His dynamics were and still are a cut above the rest of us poor saps. Amazing!
Lots of really nice stuff around 4.50 using the hi-hat to accent and the rims to fill and the groove goes without saying but I wanted to pick up on the more unusual aspects.
yeah, also more ghosting going on then one can hear on the full track - and the kick pedal dynamics (even of a bit accentuated by reverb) - one thing he was great at.
Thank you so much for this. I am a drummer. In my opinion a drummer is only great when he plays in the context of a song and not when he solos. For example Bill Bruford was great when he played with Yes. When you see him noodle around by himself it doesnt mean much.
Love the stainless steel Bonham kit as well.. Led Zeppelin II though, not sure what kit he played on it..very great album .. great vibe and sound throughout.. and boy do the drums have PUNCH! I wonder if the cymbals on here are Avedis or even older K Zildjians? This might be before he played Paistes..not sure..but sounds like Zildjians to me
Private Jimmy he used Paiste Giant Beats I think even before he was endorsed and as for the kit, pretty sure it was either the Green Sparkle or a maple ludwig 5 pc set
I love the drum tracks but for me drums and bass tracks would be awesome! Can you do a separate play list with drums and bass only ??? Please ??? I'll subscribe right now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Drums only playlist - ruclips.net/p/PLTOh4tBW15HLPdzQioQAZamVYSLAbE30g
His process of playing a straight beat with a swing feel while hitting harder than anyone at that time defines Bonzo. Great channel.
Amazing drumming! Rest in peace John Henry Bonham (1948-1980)
I never heard this before. As soon as it came on though, I knew who the drummer was. Best of all time.
That ride sounds so gorgeous

That groove though.

I don't like Solos; saw a lot of good drummers...but the solos...bad. I'm a drummer too.
Truth! Although.....Kirk Covington when soloing is quite the experience!
Listen to Bonham and Keith Moon solo end of story.

@@longroadproductions9242 he used the yellow maple kit in these days with paste giant beats
I agree with Pita Parker. JB started using the Green Sparkle from the spring of 1970.
Pretty sure he used GB'S and later 2002's; though i've heard he was on Zildjians during zep 1 and gigs before that...not sure though
@@longroadproductions9242 yup....greenie or blondie.
Bass drum dynamics!

Do you think you possibly isolate some Black Sabbath drum parts? What about any of Tool's stuff from their live album "Salival"?
I have no other Black Sabbath tracks. There are several Tool's tracks, but they are not from live albums.
@@kiboko_drummer I can't seem to find your Tool tracks anywhere?
