Pastor Furtick, I stumbled on your sermons about a year ago. Broken..addicted. In despair. I surrendered. Finally! After growing up in a Baptist church and then running from God for years and years, I surrendered. Kayci, your message here is so close to my own recent testimony. Pastor Furticks messages came to me one day when I was in a losing battle and was what I believe God used to strengthen my Faith and get me back up on my feet and take back control of myself and surrender all of me to Jesus AGAIN and I this newly built version that God created in me is worth ALL of it. Every day I listen to whatever sermons are on my feed and that is always the message(s) I need for the day. I am SO BEYOND GRATEFUL for Pastor Furtick and his ministry. So blessed to be able to be apart of it with you all. Kayci, keep growing and may we meet one day 😉 you have my extended support and love and encouragement! PLEASE. Never send back to the vault. I've been sending this to people since I first seen this sermon. It changed my life. And there are so many people who have depression and anxiety etc. And they justify it on a multitude of things. When we all just need more humility. This is the best representation of how to overcome this. Thank you.

Amen! I struggle with anxiety so much. It seems like a never ending battle. In recent years I have been trying to change my thinking of myself. For years since I was younger I struggled with negative thoughts and anxiety now I'm 26 but I'm believing for complete healing! Our peace of mind was upon him on that cross and I will not quit the fight! 💛

I just prayed yesterday for God to heal my mind and and my heart. When you say "the heart that makes me wanna die.. " it really hit home. @Kandii Williams you are special, you are loved and depression even if it came with a thousand other evils it can never overcome you because the one who loves you (Jesus Christ) overcame all of them at the cross.... Just keep on rehearsing the power of the cross and the blood, and depression will show itself out.

Staff at Elevation: My husband texted me the link to listen to the "Ghosted" message and said I needed to listen to it. I downloaded it and headed out the door to listen to it as I drove around running errands. I got about 10 minutes into it and said, "nope, nope, nope," and turned it off. I need to be sitting at a table/desk with my journal taking a million notes. I needed this sermon so bad!!! 🥰

Do not believe everything you think.
When you blame another for your (re)ACTIONS, you empower 'them' by making them the decision-makers of your responses.
Own your actions and (re)actions.
Because if they made me mad and if they put me in a bad mood then I'm stuck. There's nothing I can do. If traffic put me in a bad mood, if my job put me in a bad mood. See it's in our inner words. We don't want to take ownership and responsibility then we won't be able to guard our heart. Because we've given someone else the key to our joy.
Therefore situations and people cannot make me and did not make me. An outside experience won't make me change who I am to such a degree, to any degree that it changes my heart. God has the key to my heart. You can't guard what you don't own. So I'm guarding my heart because I own it whoop whoop 🎉🙌👏😄
You know you wanna touch your neighbor and say:"Pastor Steven looks handsome today!"

I'm rewatching this 5 years later and finally I am learning how to own and control my emotions. Watching this sermon with fresh eyes, from the other side of victory! I am going through a challenging season right now and the Holy Spirit says to me, "You letting your neighbour into your apartment when you let him into your mind." My new neighbour has been intimidating me since he moved in above me. I stumble (I say that lightly) on this sermon, Pastor Steven and you said one phrase that is almost word for word what the Holy Spirit said to me 5 days ago. This sermon was shared 4 years ago. I am watching this on 14th June 2024. This has happens often and it is only your sermons that I receive these confirmations. One day, I will shake you warmly by the hand or give you a big hug! God bless you and keep being an obedient servant to the LORD.

My children and I started attending Elevation Greensboro after watching you online for a while. September 2019 my 16 yr old son was shot with an AR15 assault rifle mistaken for someone else. As u can imagine I was broken but I stood strong and told Satan YOU WILL NOT TAKE MY SON'S LIFE!
MY son lives today! I brought him to Elevation after he was released from the hospital. He couldn't walk. During worship we were singing I see a victory, my son stood up and allowed the spirit of the Lord to fall down on him! My children love Elevation!!! My nieces and nephew now come with us every Sunday. Continue to do what you do for God. You make a difference!!
I go through this on a daily! I’m so glad you blessed me with this message! I don’t forgive easy when people do me wrong but I am tired of torturing myself for others wrong doings! I’m quick to assume the worst or take things in the worst way possible! I needed this 🙏. I’m trying to learn how to communicate my feelings without the anger that comes with it or not take anything personal. I know it will be a long road! Hopefully my relationship will survive on this journey! So thank you for showing me the way!

This is me as well. Every time me and my husband argue I’m always the one to apologize first. So this last time... I’ve been waiting for him to say something first. It’s been two whole days. So I came to the conclusion if he’s going to stay made so will I but it’s so heavy. This message was right on time. I’m in control of my emotion. My joy of my job.

If you insist on saying what you feel eventually you feel what you say. Own your emotions, your joy is your job. Guard your heart. If you own it you can control it. Take control of your soul! I will praise Him. Tune in truth. If you put my Word in your heart your joy will overflow. Change the concentration. Pastor, I thank God for the wisdom our Lord bestows upon you, because you share that blessing with all of us. So that we receive it. This came to me after hearing some hard words to take in. I was having a bad day yesterday, however I prayed to God to help me control my emotions to be more like him each day! Today, this morning I see this! God is so good! Also, a year ago I was diagnosed with GAD (Generalized Anxiety Disorder) with the help of your sermons it healed me and gave me a better perspective on life and how to let God control each day. Thank you so much! May God continue to use you! I hope to meet you one day, to thank you in person.

I just went "OHHHHHHHHH" when i saw the title. Love this series, it was my first series other than "Meant to be"
You have no idea the importance of the timing of this message. Two months ago, we got our 13yr old grandson because our daughter is trying to get ahold of addictions. He is very angry at the drop of a hat and seems to find joy at pushing us to a breaking point. He has been a part of our Sunday watch parties and really likes you, Pastor Furtick. We will enjoy watching this as a family for growth.

This is a very meaningful message. I Listened and watched this on the way to work. It was amazing. I even listen to your videos when I workout. Here in Albany Ga I am in need of a church/pastor and you’re the closest I can get to it. I learned a lot from this.

Heart = attitude/mind/thought
Attitude = is the reflection of our mind
Everything you do flows from your heart; you can't just let everything in or believe everything you think
= careful of what you see, hear,think
= what's in your heart comes out your mouth and goes back in your heart
= eventually you feel what you say and be your own victim
To guard your heart, you must own your emotions
= take ownership of your temper
= don't be childish
= when you give someone power to influence you, you have the choice
= you have to be accountable for your actions
Your Joy is Your Job; take ownership of your emotions
= your can't blame influence of the atmosphere on how you execute your emotions

= own your emotions, confess to God and He'll give you control of what happens within
= when you have ownership you tell it what to do; you're accountable

Change Your Concentration
= concentrate on your state of mind
= your attitude reflects your attention
= your frustration reflects your fixation
When you are in a storm (like Peter), the circumstance doesn't change but when he lost focus on Jesus, he began to sink = your mood, thinking, and direction are result of what you're focussed on

I’m in a marriage thats not working and hasn’t for awhile. I’m always protecting those around me but never myself. After hearing this, I’m in tears of knowing just how important I am in Gods eyes and how broken I became in my own eyes. I’m in WA with people panicking around me with the virus spread.
