The new chevys that have been out for about 3 years have far better tech and interiors than the RAM, those two you looked at are the old models.

Surprised that 550i made it that far. First gen bmw N63 engines were NOTORIOUS for valve stem seals and timing chains, basically anything oil related would go wrong on these engines lol.
It was probably fixed under the care package.
Front Coopers, rear Generals. For a BMW, that shows budget was the main consideration for tires.
That 550 has a trunk and a hatchback, it has two separate buttons

That BMW has a dual opening hatch. It can open as a trunk or hatchback depending on your needs

I work for a General Motors store in Cali. Now I will say that Denali you looked at is the old body style and old interior. The exterior and interior have major changes and the interior has a massive screen now. Second I actually prefer the Diesel engine over the gas engine. Way better gas mileage and they are actually more reliable than the 5.3. Just my opinion and experiences working at a dealer and seeing everything.

Those bmws trunks open two ways, they open like a trunk then you can grab on the left side and open it like a hatch and you can change the way it opens in the cars settings.

I fell in love with the hatch when it came out in 2010 It's a really cool looking BMW hatchback I would definitely get that. I never seen one before, but they're very unique 5 series.
Those GT BMW’s are funny looking. I’ve always had a love-hate feeling towards them. I have always been intrigued by the idea of a 550 though. I’ll be interested to see this one on the channel.
You are putting out faults information on the cylinder deactivation system. GM switch to DFM (dynamic fuel management) in 2019 which is a reliable system. Faster solenoids and switches between all cylinders not just four. You’re still thinking of AFM (active fuel management) from 2005 to 2019 which its main problem was it just switched between four cylinders.

Loved this one. Randy you should buy a small ATV go get thru those places. You could let it haul your jump box and anything else you use. It would take a hell of a load off you and cut your time down.
could be a simple sensor on that denali, anything to do with the def or Emissions will throw it into limp mode

Good find! While original N63s are a little unreliable, the later N63s (TU)(TU2)(TU3) are very solid.
My 2012 silverado with the Displacement on demand has 147000 miles on it and ive never had a bit of trouble but i also installed the Range Afm Delete at 125000 miles and it runs like its brand new.
That displacement on demand issue, is also prevalent in the 5.7 l chevy engine as well.
The EcoDiesel is RAM’s little diesel, the small GM diesel is just called the 2.7 Duramax.
That mold in the BMW is from the sunroof drain getting clogged. Unclog it and clean that mold up and should be good!
Hello Randy. The 2010 BMW GT 55i is a good looking car. The 2022 Ram is a good looking truck even though it's got damage to the bed.

Our neighbors son in law had a 2022 silverado with that eco diesel and at 1500 miles the engine blew up when pulling a trailer up over Donner pass, yes he was driving a F 250 power stroke after gm took his truck back. From sad to happy in 2 months.

One thing I like about newer chevys is that you still have a shifter instead of the dial. However I do agree the rams screen size, cab room, and 4x4 position is much better than chevys.

I know how you feel about the fact that the ram having more space in the backseat than the Chevy /gmc. Our Nissan Frontier has no room in the backseat and this is coming from someone like me who is 5 foot nothing not liking the lack of leg room in the back. And the seat itself in the back is super short when I go to sit in it. It feels like half of my rear end is hanging off the seat. And again I am a small person so you know it is bad lol. Hopefully Nissan fixed the problem with the new trucks

I've heard nothing but good things about the LZO Duramax. Ecodiesel, yes but Baby Duramax, no. JD from Big Truck Big RV has had his Denali for over a year and still raves about it.
I will say randy the eco diesels they fixed the common issue my buddy bought one he’s got 10k on the clock it also has 160,000 kilometres warranty and great fuel economy no issues
He also just took it on 7,500 hundred kilometer Road trip

Those first gen N63 motors scare me. Chances are though that vehicle had the customer care package done to it at some point so the motor might have a new timing chain/hardware and injectors.

That Blue Denali is the old version, the interior was totally redone for 2024 with two 13 inch horizontal displays.
This is a pre 2012 BMW N63 V8...pretty sure these are the ones with the notorious engine issues, oil consumption, leaking vale stems

Randy, all Direct Injection engines burns oil! Our Hyundai Sonata Sport burns a quart and a half every 500 miles! It’s a Direct Injection engine! All these engines burn oil like crazy
I had a 750i for 6 years. The N63 tends to burn oil. It’s in their nature 😂
I have to agree the rams are much nicer and they are reliable. Its a guy here on youtube that has a channel where he tows cars and he towed a 2024 chevy Silverado high country with only 700 miles and it had a blown engine.

BMW,s have a lower engine cover. You can’t tell if it leaks.

I would avoid them like the plague.

I love the N63 but I’m not sure I would own a first gen. They are maintenance pigs. The N63TU and beyond are much better, but for 1500…
All BMWs built after 2016 are reliable especially with the B58.
2020 and after. The early B58s suffer from engine failure because of the plastic pieces coming apart in the oil pump. The newer B58s have all metal oil pumps.
@@7477238 that is an extremely brave and mostly attributed to extremely cold climates. In general B58 engine failure is similar to its Japanese rivals if not lower. The problem with the oil pumps is not common like the n20 timing chain guides are.
@@chasepoodiack6819 Yeah the N20s are a rattlefest after a while. Worst case scenario for the B58 is to replace the oil pump as a preventative measure if it's older than 2020.

Ummmm no. That is a 6.6L Duramax diesel not an ecoDiesel. Not the same.
1st incorrect info ram is the eco diesel which is bad. Please make sure you state gm is not the eco diesel it’s baby duramax.think before you talk sometimes.
