Great imagines, it's only a matter of time when that part of the point disappears forever. You can see from the aerial shots, even the progression further back is slowly being engulfed as well.
I live in Rainbow Beach. The point comes and goes subject to how much northerly wind we get. The outgoing tide from sandy straits gets pushed against the shore during a northerly and undermines it. No doubt I’ll get shot down in flames for saying this 😂
0:38 bit of image manipulation here: 2023 the photo is at high tide. 2024 the photo is at low tide. With a tidal range of about 2.5m, 3m on high tide and .5m at low there will be a vast difference to the visual beach.
We'll be joining the barge off the dirt track shortly at this rate. Ps, can we use charcoal to cook (open fire?) on fraser? Where can i find said info in case ranger's hassle me. Thanks & cheers.
Yep ..Just the tides moving stuff around ....same thing has been happening to the tip of Amity Point on Straddie forever. Why do humans think we have so much power to change nature? We are just a blip in history compared to nature . It will do exactly as it pleases... as it always has and always will .
Yeah imagine being a P plater getting the hate from a thousand Karen's and "green" heads on the internet for doing donuts on the sand and wrecking the environment, to then see the whole area sink into the water. 😂
@@Mr_RPE seriously ? mate the sand displaced by a 4wd drive on an area like that would be a bees dick compared to the many ,many hundreds of thousands of tons of sand that makes up that spit . The ocean gives and it takes away .It is all tides and currents..and bugger all to do with humans driving on the top few inches of sand dunes ....and yes I hate the dickheads who rip up sand dunes but mainly just because they are a danger to other people not the sand.I have watched the tip of Straddie's spit wax and wane massively over 50 years ...all caused by tides as no one drives on it.
@@TruBluOffroadJust imagine all the P platers having respect for others, and not effing around and pissing off the authorities, who dream of any excuse to shut it all down?
Sand shifting! What a muppet, you bogans have no idea. Have you heard of SINK HOLES, the limestone base dissolves and a hole is formed, then fills up quickly with sand from the tidal currents.
@chrispyscampingadventures hi guys thanks for your reply. We are heading up to inskip for Christmas be good to know what's camping grounds are better ones especially for good sunlight for solar. Cheers Greg
Not a single person has said this was caused by climate change, even MAGAt types like yourself understand sink holes, where a limestone base is dissolved by water.
lovely mate, yes reminds me of south stradbroke and itll always move u and down the coast.. same as the inskip.. not move but shift abit each tide...

Sand is shifting and is always been and always will 😂😂 will be found in elsewhere 😊 looks beautiful anyway 🎉

We agree! How amazing it is. Same down at Mudlow Rocks, the sand comes and go constantly. Amazing and wonderful.
Bye Inskip I have beautiful memories of you and lots of photos,I'll show my grandchildren.
Ol mother earth was sick of newbies getting bogged, she's decided to bring the point back to land a bit make it easier 😅
Great footage mate!! 👌🏻

You can use a fully enclosed cooking device with artificial coal (no wood) - 20cm off the ground. No naked flames. Qpws website has all the specs
@@chrispyscampingadventures cheers for that.
Mother nature at work, environmentalists will blame excessive amounts of 4x4's 😮💨

well it is, imagine how much sand the 4x4s have taken from the beach bud lmao

Sand shifting ? Who'd have thunk it? I blame climate change and Donald Trump.

Was there another sink hole on the point ???
Yes there has been a couple in recent times.
Look at about 1:40 and you can just make out the area, those holes fill quickly with sand though.
Still very different from 1976
Hi guys any chance you can re post you clip about inskip zones again cheers Greg
Unfortunately we lost the sound / we will have to the do it. That’s the plan !

No…its a sinkhole…..where is the sand going?……..sinkholes rarely happen on the main beach…..
Environment helping the 40psi club to get to ferry easier ….
Climate change!….lol
