@@PatOutdoors I’m 5’ 11” 180lbs, do you think this bike is to small? I like it bc I ride 90% in the streets & I wanted super moto tires already. I’m looking at getting big handlebars with 3” ride so it fits me better
Awesome content Pat. Maybe ill do my sprocket upgrade like yours when i get my bike back from Powerful Lithium battery upgrade which they are still working on. 👍
Open up that controller and see what the capacitor is capable of. If it's a 150 I say go with a 96 volt!! I'm sure with it being set for a 60v battery it's probably a 100v capacitor. Amorge will build you a battery to fit into the original case. You'll have to take the 60v out of the hard case and measure it though.
@@ycatsnebnot at all possible to run 96v with the stock controller. Highest you can do is a 66v battery like chi makes for surrons. You can't even do a 72v battery without an aftermarket controller. Then those controllers have 90v or 100v caps.
Are you talking about running o-ring less chain for less drag? Thought about it but concerned about maintenance and heard it stretches faster than the o-ring chain
@@PatOutdoors Yep, that's exactly what I was talking about. I've seen people get an extra 3-4mph out of just switching their chain. I understand the concern about increased maintenance, though. However, the sprocket & chain are probably the cheapest speed boosts you can get out of these bikes. Anything further will probably require a new battery or controller.
You would lose a LOT of torque with the factory controller and battery with an even smaller sprocket. This bike now goes 63 mph though with my new Nucular P24F controller and 74V battery. Check out my later videos
I imagine they do it from the factory to make sure the chain doesn't slap about during shipping and scratch the frame. They should really point it out in the manual though.
What gear ratio did you have it on for the 48 tooth been tryna figure out what to out it on cause everytime i change it i dont feel like im going the speed its saying
My XXX seems to be faster at 100%, especially on the lower end. This is a cool mod. Funny you did it to just keep up with your friend. Does it impact range?
I finally beat him on a later video 😂 Haven’t noticed a range difference just yet. Yeah fully charge definitely makes a noticeable difference in low end torque
Awesome bike. My daughter is excited to get here’s delivered today 1/2/24. I know that you can cut that brown wire to unlock that limiter. I’m anal about making sure I get the full advantage of the warranty. You never know when you might get a bad build. Is there a way to use a plug key( device that lets you pull wires out from clips) to disconnect that brown wire vs sniping it. So if there is an issue with in the 1 year. I can just plug it back in to that clip and it’s not modified.
Thanks! So you are talking about de-pinning the brown wire from a harness connector? I’m sure you can, I just haven’t pulled the whole harness out to try that out. It’s not very easy to access without pulling the controller off completely first
@@PatOutdoors yes but I noticed from videos it’s looped. Just wondering if depining it will cause the bike to not work. Because that wire is looped for a reason vs direct connection to the clip. Hate to say it she’s already pissy just because she’s coming from motocross and 20 mph ain’t nothing. And I know she wanted this bike just to wheelie
@DJMEDIC671 Mine seems to do about 36mph in ECO mode without cutting the wire, stock with pedal kit and moto tires. It's gnarly torquey for my old ass.
@@PatOutdoors Well i started with a electric mountain bike and tuned it to go fast and then my friend lended me his surron for a few months and now I want to get a talaria xxx since it has a better top speed. I am also planning on upgrading its rear suspention a few weeks after I get it.
You can get a bigger REAR sprocket for more torque, but less top speed. Bigger front sprocket results in higher speeds for other types of bikes like my Razor’s
I’m about to buy a talaria x3, thanks for making videos, can’t wait to get on one!!
You’re gonna love it!

Thx for the content and sharing your endeavors

Almost bought this over the MX4 because of the price difference. The belt drive is a weak point off road. Either is great but I went with the Sting R.
Can’t go wrong with that choice! Congrats
Where can I find the sprocket? It’s out of stock on the link provided
You know 72v is in your future.
Lmao I'm constantly stalking the internet for 72V options.

Would I be able to get the same sprocket on Amazon??
Upgrading your chain from stock might give you a little more juice as well. You might able to touch 53 maybe 54.

It’s doesn’t. MX3 come with 44, XXX come with 48T

i just got a brand new xxx and my rear wheel was slightly to the left exactly like yours was. strange
Right.. not really sure why that is lol

got mine in January and it was perfect straight

How the smallest one can add speed i thought you need more bigger sprocket

What front fork are you running?
The factory DNM fork (fork the later model Black Edition bikes from Luna)
Try a smaller sprocket coz its bottom end ure after, try u never know 😊

Food for thought, u could of started video by cleaning ur bike first. It would of lengthen your video. Idk I watch a ton load of vids dude is all.
