thanks for that ! im intersted in the great war command and colors, but never played any game of the series. the 2 players have their OWN SAME IDENTICAL FULL DECK to draw cards from, from turn to turn (i hope so) ? or do they share one common deck to draw from ? thanks !
@@StormofSteelWargaming I'm not someone whose into war gaming. I literally just heard about the game and wanted to try it. The fact that only expansions seem to be available is just an absolute let down.
Thanks for this, definitely a great overview!
It's in the mail. Very good demonstration.
You're welcome! I hope you enjoy playing it!
Good video, although the infantry can ignore a flag if they are supported by 2 adjacent units. 4:45.
Thanks, I realised this afterwards, it's OK, it's only an introduction to the game after all!
Great video thanks for posting this
Is this the sound track from those old Talon Soft Napoleonic games?
That's right
The French infantry on the hill were bolstered by friendly units on either side so they could choose to ignore the flag rolled by the British attack.
Yeah, I just forgot that rule when I was recording.
Excellent video! Thanks for posting, still trying to find a reasonable copy of the game. I will be checking out the rest of your videos.
Thank Bob, welcome aboard! Glad you liked the video and I hope you enjoy the others, Good luck with finding a copy of the game!

Glad you enjoyed it, TBH, it's been so long since I played GW that I can't remember, but I think it's the same deck that the players draw from.
@@StormofSteelWargaming hum ok
generally its the Same deck for all command and color games ?
Thanks !
@hellion76 no, each one is specific for that game. They have similar order cards, but they have particular period flavour.
Great vid!
Thank you!
Excellent
Thank you! Cheers!
Any suggestions for ways to seal the stickers onto the blocks?
No idea TBH. Maybe a thin layer of PVA glue?
If it had minis like memoir or battle cry I’d buy it
You can always buy 6mm figures and replace the blocks.
@@StormofSteelWargaming that’s true, good point. Will consider this 👍
i bought risk minis from risk 1996 for light infantry and think its morrisons games risk minis for line infantry really love the set up now
Can the square battle back against cavalry in melee attack?
Probably, I just forgot.
English light infantry consists of 5 blocks, not 4.

@@StormofSteelWargamingIndeed.
Finding a copy of this game is an absolute pain.
Yes, it can be. I have seen copies sold at wargaming conventions though.

@@oceanlopez4739 I'm sorry to hear that. I guess you'll have to wait until GMT reprint it
I have been trying to find a copy of this forever, where can I get one, why isn t it available like all the expansions?
@@meredithrees949 maybe drop GMT games a line and ask if they are going to reprint the game.
Overpriced and cheaply made Memoir 44
Thanks for your input.
