Next up in our travels around South Australia, it’s time for us to take on the west coast of the Eyre Peninsula. We start at Coffin Bay where we 4x4 through the national park, then hop from beach camp to beach camp all the way up the coast. There are so many awesome, low cost camps in this area! We also almost get bogged on the beach, catch our first fish off the beach and find some pretty cool natural ice baths.
In this video we:
- Start in Coffin Bay on the Eyre Peninsula, South Australia
- Explore the national park with its crazy coastline and 4x4 tracks
- Drive out to Sensation Beach in the Coffin Bay National Park, and find the remains on a whale on the way
- Stay at Farm Beach and check out the nearby Gallipoli Beach
- Get a little stuck in the soft sand!
- Move to the camp at Greenly Beach, climb the nearby Mount Greenly and check out Coles Point
- Find an epic free camp at Halls Beach near Point Drummond, and here we capture the craziest dolphin footage!
- Head to our final camp in this episode: Sheringa Beach, where we have a catch and cook, enjoy the beachfront camping and find some natural ice baths - perfect for the 40 degree day!
We hope you enjoyed watching this episode and thanks so much for the support and kindness on our videos!

Hi David, thanks for stopping by & leaving a comment once again 😁
We feel privileged to take you along for the ride. One of our greatest pleasure is enjoying a place and capturing for others. Also looking forward to doing the same thing over the ditch in years to come.
Have a great weekend. H&B 👍🏼

Gday Doug! Hope you’re well mate!
I agree, we had a ball on this side of the coast. Some unreal days when the weather was kind.

Great video loved all the drone footage
Thanks Les! We've been putting a lot of hours in on the drone & I think that it's showing!! Glad you enjoyed 🙌 Cheers 😁🍻
I’ve seen a few of your vids now, ❤ terrific stuff, but geez you look a lot like a guy called Chris Grant! One of my favourite AFL footballers for Footscray/Western Bulldogs, LOL😅
Hi there, another great video, you are having a great time, look forward to the next chapter. Happy Travels 😊👍
Gday Keith! Thanks for tuning in mate! A lot of great stuff to come 😁
Looking 👍 forward to your videos guys ☺️. Waiting on delivery of our new van so we can start travelling again.Your coverage of our state is excellent 👌👍
Gday Will! Thanks for the kind words 😁 How exciting, I bet you guys can't wait to get back on the road 🙏
We sure did enjoy the video, thanks for great footage. I think you could see the whale blow hole in the skull down the bottom just above the sand.
Cheers Robert! Could’ve been but I kind of looked like that was the base of its spine where it connected to the head. Had a little bit of a stink to it so didn’t go digging 😂
Good stuff guys.
I enjoy the way you guys showcase your trip..
That recipe with Salmon is great for any fish. I just do a dusting with spices or Burrito mix and flour, and just cook in butter. Works a treat..
Keep up the good content guys.
Cheers Rick! Glad you have been enjoying the episodes. Not wrong mate, I am a fan even with the humble Aussie salmon it went down a treat!
Great job on the camera work guys, you are really killing it! Loved the episode, best one yet! Thanks for sharing. 🙏🏻🍺🌷🍺🙏🏻
Thanks legends!! Trying some new things and getting super comfortable on the drone 😁 So kind of you & the pressure is on to one up it next episode 😂 As always thank you for taking the time to tune in 🍻

Noice Vid - Good to see filming in 4K ... One Day....
Thanks Mark, video quality has always been a non negotiable for us! One day we will kick back and watch them all on an 85 inch TV. For now we are stuck with the 22'' but glad you can appreciate the vids in all their glory!! 🤙
AND, maybe even Peter SPIDA Everitt too!!!😂AFL superstar!!! Retired some time 😢
Beautiful guys, really loving your happy demeanor. Great episode, enjoying all aspects of your footage and how good was the landscape at Sheringa Beach! Cheers Marg & Steve :)
Hi Marg & Steve, as always love seeing you guys here in the comments! Thank you for the kind words.. What can I say... Sheringa had to be my fav on the West coast Eyre 🙌 Just magic 😍
@@our.australia.trip. We really enjoy and appreciate you sharing these beautiful places with us.💛
Hiya Folks, only came across your RUclips yesterday 18/03 - and have watched every post you have put up. Loving the trip with you and so looking forward to future adventures.
Must admit i have been itching to get out and explore Australia and your so not helping 🙂🙂 the stunning footage has got me rethinking and reassessing everything. Take care and stay safe
Thanks Des! Appreciate you jumping on board and glad your enjoying the vids mate! We are very lucky, it’s a great country 🙏🏼
it's not quite like that at Anzac cove - I visited the place years ago. The cliffs by and large are set further back from the beach, with steep slopes and ridges leading up to them. I walked up the infamous Walker's Ridge to get to the top, and you soon realize what kind of hellish crossfire the anzacs must have dealt with from the clifftops ranged all around. I also don't know why we call the place Gallipoli, as the town itself is on the other side of the peninsula and something like 40km away. I made the mistake of simply taking an overnight bus there, got dropped off at 5:00am, and quickly discovered I had a LONG way to go to get to the actual cove. Thankfully I managed to hitchhike with one of the caretakers our government employs to look after the various monuments and war cemeteries. :)
Hey Tim & thanks for the insight mate!
A bucket list item to get over there & cool to hear your story there 😀
@@our.australia.trip. I hope you do. Just be prepared to take a heavy hit emotionally, especially if the two of you are the only ones there. I had the entire battlefield to myself for the best part of the day, from the landing beaches right up to the top of the cliffs, and being by myself, and knowing how many young men had died all around me, made it all a very haunting experience that weighed pretty heavily on me.
Eliston is gorgeous guys look forward to seeing the next Vlog.
I hope you fished Locks Well and enjoyed the stairs haha.
You can catch King George Whiting in anxious bay too, on the inside section at the entrance of the western side off the rocks. Bait: cockles or pieces if squid. There's also plenty of squid available of the long jetty.
Cheers
🎣🍻🐊
Thanks for the tips mate! Unfortunately I’m flying blind when it comes to fishing 😂 That local knowledge goes a long way & I’m definitely taking notes for next time!
Thanks for watching & taking the time to drop a comment legend 🤙🏼
Nice one guys. We are currently at Port Gibbon sand dunes after a couple of days at Wauraltee Beach. Heading to Perlubie soon then back to Coffin Bay and Port Lincoln. Loving SA!
That’s awesome guys! Loved that neck of the woods. Also Port Lincoln was 10/10 for us 🙌🏼😍
I loved eyre and most of SA
How good was it!! As far as low cost beach camping goes, its up there with the best 🤩
Go you good thing you’re lucky it’s not blowing it’s bum off 😂🍻🍻🍻🍻are you jealous B rad .
Felt like we were kissed on the Richard with some of the cracking days we had! Not sure what I'm jealous of though!! 🤔😂
Another great episode guys. What caused the van to drop at the front when parked up?. Jockey wheel issues? Looking forward to watching your travels in this part of the world.
Hey mate! Thanks for the kind words 😁👍🏼
No issues, kind of hard to get the perspective on camera but the site had a decent slope on it & had to lower the trail a mate all the way down so that the van was level. I know it looks kinda weird but she was level!
Great vid. Just wondering what month you were here?
Hey, this was mid January 😊
I remember seeing the whale when it still looked like a whale absolutely rank smell
I bet! That’s a lot of meat to rot away 🤮
Is there tracks in coffin bay that you can bypass the beach runs aka seven mile beach etc if the water gets to high and un passable
No, it is very much tide dependant
Are you guys Kedron ambassadors?
Hey Michael, no we’re not. The boys hooked us up with a bunch of merch when we last had the van in for a service though 🤙🏼
why on earth do you and others broadcast good spots to everyone ????let people have their own adventures...since a local hidden water hole was splashed on youtube...rubbish..shit..damage..etc etc...great, you make it easy for the lazy bastards...not happy, im a regular on the EP, and............ile stop, adventure is the unknown
are you ok
Hello Legends, I think you guys will remember S.A. for a long time.
Gday Brady, I agree… and if we forget we can always flick back through the vids 😁🤙🏼
