Frankel, who is set to regain the British and Irish sires' title, will join Dubawi at a world-high £350,000 stud fee for 2024. That's $450.000 US dollars.
Ivan Mees We're really excited to hear your interest in Northern Dancer. Stay tuned because we're actually releasing a detailed video on Northern Dancer soon, and we think you're going to love it! Keep an eye out for it and let us know what you think once it's out!
@factssmashers I know already that I will love this documentary, his story is one of love of an owner for the little horse that could. He had a heart as big as a whale ! Looking forward to watching it !
Martina Fitzgerald Absolutely! Nearco's influence on the pedigree of top thoroughbreds is undeniable. It's amazing how his legacy continues to shape the sport.
Without Doctor Vincent O'brien no sadletswells, no Galileo, no Frankel . No Sir Ivor, no Najinsky ...the man was a genius and helped establish Northern Dancer as a world champion sire. Some American breeders thought that Northern Dancer was too small and a Canadian freak, boy did they have to eat humble pie !
It's incredible to see the value placed on these top sires like Frankel and Dubawi. Their stud fees are certainly a testament to their success and influence in the world of horse racing. Thanks for sharing this interesting tidbit!
@@robertlosasso4222 BTW, Curlin is also a card-carrying recipient of the big heart gene through mares out of Something Royal, Princequillo's daughter. PQ is believed to have brought the big heart gene to the USA during WWII.
Karma B Great picks! Seattle Slew and Bold Ruler are both legends with incredible legacies. Seattle Slew's unbeaten Triple Crown run and Bold Ruler's influence on future champions are hard to beat. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Who else do you think deserves a nod?
In New Zealand. We had Sir Tristram sire of 45 Group 1winners. He sired Zabeel sire of 46 Group 1winners. Zabeel sired Savabeel sire of 32 Group 1 winners and counting. Best sire line ever.
neville saxon! Wow, that’s an incredible sire line! Sir Tristram, Zabeel, and now Savabeel-what a legacy of excellence. Thank you for sharing this-it’s fascinating to see how dominant this line has been in producing Group 1 winners!
Maybe you should mention that 75% of the world’s stakes winners trace to Nearco through Northern Dancer. Last year only 1 horse in the Kentucky Derby did not carry at least 1 cross to the Dancer. And btw isn’t Cody’s Wish by Curlin? A bit more notable than the other Curlin offspring you mentioned, dontcha think? And your a bit behind the curve. Galileo (your AI doesn’t know how to pronounce the name of one of the most celebrated scientists of all time) and Deep Impact both passed away before last year’s racing season. And apropo Deep Impact, ever heard of a colt called Auguste Rodin?
What a joke of a list. Australia completely forgotten about, no " I am Invincible $275,000, Extreme Choice $275,000 , Zoustar $275,000 or Snitzel $245,000, "
Thanks for sharing your favorites! Tapit is undeniably an incredible sire with an impressive legacy. It's great to hear your passion for Tapit and other amazing sires like Gunrunner, Arrogate, and Justify. Everyone has their own opinions, and that's what makes these discussions so interesting. Appreciate your input!
Tracey Travers Honestly, we couldn't find a professional voice-over artist with a background in horses, and we can't afford one either. Additionally, no one here is willing to help us or give us any extra support. That's why we rely on AI for our voice-overs.
Tapit is definitely one of the greats! His impact as a sire has been incredible, producing so many top-notch racehorses. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Gorgatz 04 Thanks for your comment! American Pharoah's impact goes beyond his current stud fee-his initial stud fee was $200,000, reflecting his early demand. Gun Runner, Uncle Mo, and Medaglia d'Oro are amazing too-definitely worthy mentions!
American Pharaoh : " ... ( his ) offspring, including Classic Empire and Justify, ... " !?!?!?!? . Excuse me! If you want to make video's about something, than, at least, TRY to have your basic facts verified! SHAME, SHAME on you!!!!!!!
Ivan Mees Thank you so much for pointing out the error. I apologize for the mistake regarding American Pharoah's offspring. We've trimmed that incorrect section from the video. It was an unintentional writing error. If you notice any other inaccuracies, please let us know so we can improve. Thanks again for your help!
Martin Clail Absolutely! Scat Daddy was undoubtedly an exceptional sire, and his influence on the world of horse racing cannot be overlooked. Thanks for pointing that out!
Andrew Winstanley Thanks for your comment! We're thrilled to hear your interest in Frankel. Stay tuned because we're working on a detailed video about him, and we hope you'll enjoy it as much as we enjoyed putting it together!
For a video that has potential for a lot of views, it was painful to watch. Incorrect names, out of date information and listing offspring who aren't in the sires top ten. As well as saying the same thing about every sire in a different way.
Lester Cullen I appreciate you pointing that out and I'll make sure to double-check the facts and update the information in future videos. Your input helps me improve!
All you guys, take a look at the tittle... HIGHEST STUD FEES With that saying Northern Dancer holds the record with a stud fee of 1 million dollars with no life foal guarantee...
Afraid your number one has Sadly passed away ,you need to keep up to date when you post and pronounce them correctly, but for all that a good video, well done 👍
Cliff Rightmove Thank you for letting me know. I appreciate your feedback and will make sure to stay updated and improve pronunciation in future videos. Glad you enjoyed it overall! 😊
The criteria are murky to me. If you are going to list horses no longer living, you open up the list to horses who are better than many or all of these, e.g. Northern Dancer and some of his progeny, including Sadlers Wells, Nijinsky and Danzig, Bold Ruler, Native Dancer and his son Raise A Native, Mr. Prospector, Nasrullah, Nearco, Hyperion, Phalaris, Man O’ War and The Tetrarch. That’s just off the top of my head and only back to the beginning of the 20th Century.
John Hoie Thank you for your insightful comment! You're absolutely right-when considering sires from all eras, the list can become quite extensive and challenging to narrow down. The names you mentioned, like Northern Dancer, Sadler's Wells, and Man O' War, are legendary and have indeed left an indelible mark on horse racing history. Our video aimed to highlight some of the most influential sires, but there's no doubt that many others could easily be included. We appreciate your knowledge and passion for the subject-it's what makes these discussions so enriching! Feel free to share more of your thoughts and any sires you think deserve special recognition.
Red Rum Thanks for the update! In 2024, American Pharoah’s stud fee is indeed $50,000 for a live foal at Ashford Stud in Kentucky. However, when he first retired, his fee was $200,000 per live foal, making his initial year potentially worth around $40 million given the number of mares he could book.

So is my favorite, Native Dancer.
we will make a video on native dancer very soon
My comments is very simple The sire I love NORTHERN. DANCER. Without him Sadler Wells. No Gallieo
Without Doctor Vincent O'brien no sadletswells, no Galileo, no Frankel . No Sir Ivor, no Najinsky ...the man was a genius and helped establish Northern Dancer as a world champion sire. I forgot Into Mischief he's a great one Also Justify. But Tapit is the best
This Sire Named Not this time is making great Foals keep an eye on his Young Colts and Fillies Not this time
Can't forget Gunrunner what a great Sire
But Tapit is my favorite Sire especially making long distance Horses
I believe that Sunday Silence should get a mention. He was exported to Japan and sired more than 40 Grade One winners, including Deep Impact.
Tapit is a descendant of Secretariat, and his line continues to pass on the big heart gene.
You’ll have to go back to Secretariats Dam , Weekend Suprise , Tapit is not from the Sire line of Secretariat.
I’ll take that back , Secretariats Dam was Something Royal .
