Some of your other vids have some comical elements but I think this video’s approach was simple, perfectly narrated, professional and maybe most importantly, scalable. Keep it up!
I cant wait for the comparison. Your videos are amazing and full of detail and pov's. I also am greatly looking forward to the 5x25 pst gen 2 vid as I have that but haven't had the time to actually use it yet.
Awesome review, i got this scope, and its was very fun to see this review. Many thanks to you and keep upp the good work, best regards from me in Sweden
Great video!! I am a pistol guy, just got into rifle shooting. Picked up a Savage axis 2 Precision in 6.5creedmoor.It has a vortex crossfire on it and im able to group about .5” at 100yards. Im looking to start going longer range. Recently at 200meter, groups 1.25” or better. Now, looking to go further and get a better optic. Originally looking at the Diamondback tactical, the The strike Eagle. Also the arken was tempting but feel its not the way to go. This Venom seems to be a good middle ground. What do you think? Also what scope rings do you recommend? Thanks!
@@CDOESplease do this one vs the viper pst gen 2 5-25x50 EBR 2c. There is a huge discount on the scope through sportsman 30% off. Don’t know which to get
I have a Gen 1 HST 6-24x (not sure if they made a Gen 2). I've had it for about 6-8 years on the Savage 308 bolt action. I kinda want to upgrade it to a FFP optic so I am looking forward to your Vortex family review.
@C_DOES I love the videos, and the format you’ve developed! Serious question - Between this and the Arken SH4 (non-J), which would be better (for you) for NRL22?
i went the other way. i put a used acog on a stock 10/22 compact. it’s light and i like looking through it and being a 22 i can look through it a lot. the reti al works too. for standard velocity i multiply distance by three and high velocity by two.
Sounds like you prefer the glass on the Venom over the Helos. Is it by much? Which one lets through more light of them during dusk/dawn? Looks to me like the Helos is above the Venom in everything else (turrets, illumination, weight).
It isn't by much, but it's enough to make me choose the venom over the helps for my purposes on my rimfire. If I needed lume then it would be a closer choice between the strikeeagle and helos
Actually it's 22 mils of elevation. on all of them 18 if you're windage is set past three or the Rev stop is on . I have one but I've seen scopes with 30 mil tubes that have close to the same f.o.v , moa or mrad adjustments as well exit pupil..like the Vortex Diamondback and Nikon ( defunct ) Black X 1000, Only thing the Venom seems to significantly have over them is weight for bench shooting and glass quality..
Easy fix for that. Go one rev up from bottom and mark with a paint pen. If you can't see a mark, you're at bottom; if you can, you're at +1, and if you have space between the turret and the mark, you're at +2. Venom doesn't have enough elevation to get to +3. Not worth complaining about when the fix is so easy.
@@joed3264 Sure enough you're right. Well, you can tell I don't own one of these. Weird; all my scopes have turrets that move during rotation. Sorry to give you wrong advice.
@@stumpyhigginbottom3466 no problem. All of my scopes have the revolution counter marks - Riton, Athlon, Vortex and others. Bushnell makes a really nice scope, Engage, that has the same problem. OTOH I have an Athlon Midas 4.5-27 x 50 that has the hash marks, but does not need them as I can go from a 50 yd zero to 200 yds in one revolution with a .22LR. My favorite scope is the Riton X1 6-24x50. $200ish. The glass is better than my $$$ Midas.

I have watched numerous reviews and yours answered my questions on this subject and look forward to further…
That vortex comparison gonna amazing!! Can’t wait to see

Do you have any prospects for getting your hands on a Meprolight M21? I've been looking at one to buy but there's only generic paid reviews for it.
4:50 it's nice comparison with the Arken SH4, however it would be nice to see it agains the newer Arken EP5 5-25x56. I'm looking for this one

How is its optical quality compare to its Strike Eagle counterpart ?
Where can I find information on what sizes are of targets between lines, the lines, dots, etc. thank you
Eotech vudu 1-10 anytime soon? I want to hear what my favorite reviewer has to say about it

how does this venom compare with the Meopta Optika6?
Can you do a review on Redfield 1-6 lpvo or the 3 -9?

You think this would be good for a 308
I don't see why not
@@CDOES Awsome I was watching your videos and was stuck on thinking about the trijicon credo . But I think this vortex would be better
Wow I'm early.
The tr20 is the best optic for the American rifleman
There are just to many scopes to choose from.
Arken lowered the price on the sh4 to 289, at that price it's a killer deal
👍🙋♂
Would want it if they'd shave like 7 to 10 Oz off of it. What a hog zof a scope
Useless for me. No horizonal elevation marks to tell how many revolutions you have made. Cheap way to make scopes.
