Hi John, you are the most consistent youtube modeller there is. Also easy to understand and a pleasure to watch. I have saved all the videos of this build as one day I would like to try it myself. I hope to follow you for many years as I feel I still have so much to learn from you. Be safe and take care.
Thank you very much Keith for your kind words!!! I really appreciate it!!! I always try to make things more simple for me and for others to understand and i love what i do :) During May i will begin the Beagle, i hope to see you there :)
Another great tutorial of adding the sails John. It is a mamoth undertaking on a ship that size and very time consuming. But I must say you make it look so easy to do, but that is due to your experience. Well done and big hugs for Wolf. Regards Geoff
It’s looking brilliant John but we’re getting close to the end hope you’ve got something else lined up in the future speak soon stay safe love to all👍🐕🐕
She is looking amazing George :) Yes i do have, i have the HMS Beagle waiting in line ,as soon as i finish Montanes i will make the display case and then it's Beagle time :)
Great session John. I was wondering how the sails were attached. I will be installing some myself soon and it was great to see your clear instructions on how it is done. I guess you are heading into summer, so Wolf will be losing his winter coat. Hence a lot of dog hair to clean up.
Thanks for learning us to stitch the sails John true masterclass. I have a question. I see some unused blocks on the bowsprit yard after mounting the first sail. are they needed for the second sail. Big hug to Wolf.
Montanes is looking MAGNIFICENT!! One question - Is it possible to attach any of the sails to the yards before the yards are placed on the masts? Thanks for this fantastic video! (Regards to Mr Wolf.)
Thank you very much!!! Of course, you can attach the sails before placing the yards but you are only going to make you life difficult because you have many ropes to pass and the sails will be in the way.
It takes great skill, endless patience & tenacity to make such a beautiful model. Respect to you John.
Thank you very much for your kind words Steve!!!
Hi John, Wolf is very funny! Your ship is so beautiful with the sails!⛵ I love it!💙 Bravo!!!
Thank you so much 😀 Thanasis!!! Good morning!!!

Thank you Peter! Yes they are going to be needed later on. Some block on the yards were not in use so i removed them after the sails were in place.

Starting from a raw wood and fabric material supply, how long until the finished displayed ship?
Over a year full time?
This one took me around 11 months.
This is the same skill as watchmaking, only instead of metals, glass and engraving, its wood, thread and fabric.
Yes, no plastic and that's the beauty :)
Whats the next project ?!😁
HMS Beagle, i will begin building it this month :)
