I stopped listening to James after he gave false data about polkadot in order to pump his Solana investment. He also timed his negative videos on other layer 1s when they bottomed. If you read Reddit posts on him, pretty much he's one of the worst shills
I watch James too but have been very cautious since his Tesla-sold-Bitcoin video. I noticed he rounded the buy and sell prices to make it seem like they didn't lose money when, if you check the exact numbers, they clearly did. No-one's going to be checking all the stats he throws out but I would if it's something you're going to follow his analysis about.
You should probably remain cautious of anything a RUclipsr, or anyone for that, says about finance. You always need to do your own research and double check any data you intend to use for investment decisions.
Excellent post. One caveat: the $100 referral was split $60 to the signup (me😳) and $40 to James which he said he donated to animal welfare (I can't confirm as I don't have access to his books). He is clear on his bias's (Focus on 3rds - R/E, Equities, Crypto -- Equities = Tesla, MSTR, and a few other small positions -- Crypto = BTC ETH SOL) I use James primarily for his perma bull narrative. We all find evidence to confirm our biases, so I look for nonconfirming information to better try and determine my own biases and see if I am wrong. I'd rather make money than be "right".
There is absolutely no evidence James has contributed anything to animal welfare. If he has (which is uncertain) it is just to cherrypick a few cute rescue animals which look good when he showcases them; certainly he did not contribute his $400K plus from celsius referrals (which only came out to James discomfort from Mashinsky revealing that on the clip shown).

Nice job Casey. I do still watch James and value many of his insights but truth be told it was the trust he showed towards Celsius that got me into it and now Alex has my Bitcoin. Not to mention my loss on Luna which also had James influence involved. I think open source might be safer in the long run from my telecoms background. Best person to ask and confirm this would be CTO Larson. I got stung by Celsius a little but not via James. Hardware wallets only for my storage now. Lesson learnt!

What about Ledgers for spouse, children, pets or whoever? How is Ledger Live going tell the difference between them all? or do I need to go with BC Vault or multiple name brands? So I use to watch James all the time and I did put my crypto with Celsius based on a lot of Jame's advice and I dont care what anyone says. James said so many times your funds are safe with Celsius, he actually said Alex would make everyone whole if anything would ever happen (LOL). Anyway the point is James did promote Celsius and when the company tanked Chap 11 he went basically silent never said much (I am a victim blah blah) is wasnt until then I stopped watching him and realized he isnt as honest and forth coming as I thought. At the end of the day it was my fault and my responsibility however it was a good lesson for me to never trust anyone. Good Video Casey!
I watch both James and you. Influencers are named this for a reason. They influence you to do things. I treat you as informers, and only use your knowledge/perspectives, never anything more. If I want to buy or use a service I do research... I think James mistook you to be like others because of the amount of shilling in your videos. I just skip through and watch actual content. I too watch you both and was very questionable about the timing of Celsius on his show. Also caught his criticism of you and glad that you responded. I’m also 50/50 on these hardware wallets. So, it looks like we should pick good people like you and others then DYOR and listen to our hearts then proceed. So James led 8,600 people into Celcius, many of whom lost all their funds. While James has some good content, I hate the way he shills Solana and anything else he is invested in. He has a constant desire to defend his positions and his favourite projects, often subjectively. I’ve seen him ignore key data or use different ATH data about other competing L1s that he thinks might challenge his beloved SOL. So I’m not surprised he couldn’t find any documentation about BC Vault - he didn’t want to find any so he could make his point. He’s the Solana Chief of Apologies (COA) just waiting for the next Solana outage.

I weighed the most popular wallets and ended up buying the BC Vault due to Casey's assessment. All is good! I went to Celsius due to Jame's assessment and guess what??? He said that last December before stuff tanked. That he sold a lot of stuff for a tax event, meant to buy back in but fortuitously as things crashed he was okay. His subscribers weren't because he was perma bulling them.

I've been watching James for over a year and I'm disappointed that he criticized you. I'm always skeptical when I hear an influencer pushing a project or product but you definitely seem to be one of the most honest I watch. I learn more from this channel than any of the others. I did not set a pin for my individual wallets. When I tried to move the crypto from the vault it asked for a pin. needless to say blank does not work and neither does the vault pin. Has anyone mentioned this before?
Its really SAD that you have pushed into such a position to feel you have to defend yourself when it is obvious that you are top notch and move with great integrity.

It's pretty simple, do not buy anything just because an influencer endorses it no matter how trustworthy you think they are. DYOR as they say. Honestly no matter what channels you watch you'll probably get something questionable pushed on you at some point. I especially ignore any specific pushing of coins, especially ones I've never heard of- I don't even click on those videos. I also never even consider using the sponsored products that channels push every video, especially if it has to do with leverage trading. Anyhow I like both James and Crypto Casey, there is def a lot of good info to take away from both channels, two of the best channels in the space IMO. But everyone's end goal is to use their channel to make money whether that's pushing courses they offer, simple adsense revenue, referral money from promoting specific products or pumping up projects they're invested in. Just be careful and extract the useful info.
This was fun to watch and inspirational as well. Crypto Casey you're a hero!! I love how you put yourself at the forefront of the issue ... Showing with integrity and professionalism the great example of including yourself and your brand as doing nothing less than you'd expect someone else to do if it had been you following them! Much kudos!

I weighed the most popular wallets and ended up buying the BC Vault due to Casey's assessment. All is good! I went to Celsius due to Jame's assessment and guess what??? Chapter 11 and my fund are screwed!! Who do I give trust to??? uhhh not James with pushing Terra Luna but just so happened to pull out at the "right" time? LMAO ok James
He said that last December before stuff tanked. That he sold a lot of stuff for a tax event, meant to buy back in but fortuitously as things crashed he was okay. His subscribers weren't because he was perma bulling them.

I don't understand why that guy James would use you in a negative way. He probably didn't do his home work on you. I have been following you since around 2019 when I started crypto in fact you were the first person to help me with all the questions I had about getting into crypto on your earlier youtube videos. I've been watching James for over a year and I'm disappointed that he criticized you. I'm always skeptical when I hear an influencer pushing a project or product but you definitely seem to be one of the most honest I watch. I learn more from this channel than any of the others. Keep up the good work!

I did not set a pin for my individual wallets. When I tried to move the crypto from the vault it asked for a pin. needless to say blank does not work and neither does the vault pin. Has anyone mentioned this before?

I would love a follow up video on BC Vault as well Casey. I have one.....but haven't used it yet because I am nervous as to how to use it. Not just in bringing crypto to it, but also how to send crypto from the BC Vault to an exchange if I was to sell my crypto. Great video Casey not everyone understands the legal system. You are authority with research
It's pretty simple, do not buy anything just because an influencer endorses it no matter how trustworthy you think they are. DYOR as they say. Honestly no matter what channels you watch you'll probably get something questionable pushed on you at some point. I especially ignore any specific pushing of coins, especially ones I've never heard of- I don't even click on those videos. I also never even consider using the sponsored products that channels push every video, especially if it has to do with leverage trading. Anyhow I like both James and Crypto Casey, there is def a lot of good info to take away from both channels, two of the best channels in the space IMO. But everyone's end goal is to use their channel to make money whether that's pushing courses they offer, simple adsense revenue, referral money from promoting specific products or pumping up projects they're invested in. Just be careful and extract the useful info.
