I wasnt too familiar with the whiteinch area but i watched anyways.. these driveabouts you do give me a bit of fuzzy nostalgia because everything looks the same but so different to when i left 25 years ago. some of your videos are a total memory rush for me, i love my city but i will probably never see it in person again, this is the next best thing!
Im sure you have done drumchapel in the past but any chance of driving round the invercanny, airgold, ledmore drive area? then maybe down around the summerhill ptimary school area (if it still exists), this would be like 90% of my childhood and teen years, even though i left glasgow 25 years ago i havent seen these areas in closer to 30 years, 👍

Thanks for the memories, retired now and living in the south side. My parents were in Knights Wood and many a times I drove that route, remember being in the Scotstoun Emporium over 40 yrs ago, good memories.

I had an aunt who lived in the high flats at Dalmuir West and every Sunday we would visit her by taking the Renfrew Ferry from Renfrew to Yoker and catching the number 9 tram to the bottom of her Street. The flat were just built then and as they are all electric with underfloor heating not one resident could afford to put it on so, everyone bought 2 or 3 bar electric heaters.
I was born and dragged up in Renfrew and on certain days when the wind blew from the north, we`d all be saturated in a grey ash from the Braehead Coal fired Power Station. You could see the sludge in the gutters after the rain fell. My dad worked in Silcox next door along the Kings Inch Road. All gone now.
