BTW if I have ever prayed in the distant past at a church parade, it was never during the parade, but in the church of choice for worship. The large church this parade was heading for, I've got some memories, I'm smiling just reminiscing about them. 'cheesered' would be a better Glasgow discription tbh. The wee Minister who was there for years. (sadly passed away now). Whilst taking the service, he would call out the hymn numbers, and some of them actually came with a for-warning! He was a funny wee Minister in a stand up way. For instance if the hymn was Follow Follow. He lambasted the congregation, by shouting, "I'll be listening very closely, and I better be hearing 'Follow Follow I will follow Jesus, and not I will follow Rangers"! That's just one thing, but he was a character. I've been in the company of some well known men of the cloth, even the late Cardinal fr Tom Winning. Who was a really nice guy. He went out his way, even for a troublesome Prod like me. Some man. But the afore mentioned was the funniest by far.
